This hotel was absolutely amazing. It’s honestly located in the best area of Manhattan, with so many touristic attractions nearby just to walk to. We stayed from New Year’s Eve and a couple days into the beginning of January. The credits we received extra per day for food and beverage, laundry, and free gym access were such a nice surprise from the hotel. I would highly recommend coming here in the winter time or in the summertime, you can go wrong with either. The room we had was beautiful, spacious, and had a somewhat nice view from the 28th floor. The beds were super comfortable and we slept great with no interruptions. One issue we did have was the plumbing. Out of the four days we were there, two of the days our toilet was clogged, and we had to call the front desk to come in and fix the issue. There are Metro stations nearby, which are a five minute walk or an eight minute walk. It is very easy to get around and you can’t get lost. There is also a cute small store in the lobby where you can find basic essentials for purchase if you run out of them. We were also given free water. We were there every day, two free city, bike passes, and free Wi-Fi. Overall, highly recommend this location and hotel, you can’t go wrong!

I stayed here before, but the hotel has gone seriously downhill. The rooms are dingy, small, and increasingly rundown. My first room was right next to an elevator bank, and there was a loud clanging noise every time the elevator went up or down. The phone in the room did not work, and the pleather on the desk chair was peeling off. I requested to be moved, but the new room also had issues. It smelled strange, the heater was noisy, and the furniture was in bad shape. Overall, the rooms feel poorly maintained and worn out. I was also asked to show my room key when walking into the hotel, which felt uncomfortable and unnecessary. I was well dressed and in professional attire, and I have never experienced this at any other Marriott property. It left me feeling singled out for the color of my skin. At this point I’d rather stay in a nicer Marriott property near noisy Times Square than deal with this sad and rude environment.

After reading a lot of recent poor reviews I was pleasantly suprised with the hotel and stay. Yes it's an older hotel, but clean and very cozy. When booking I've mentioned that we will be celebrating my daughter's 18th BD. We've got early check in (although the hotel was busy), 18th floor and cake and chocolates in the room. It was very nice. Breacfast was delicious and included with our package. Great variety of food. Complimentary bottled water. Great location of the hotel. Not too busy area but close to everything. Overall great stay!

Despite of the poor reviews we read, we had a great stay in Lexington hotel. It is an old hotel but location is great, not too crowded but still close to some NY iconic place, only few blocks to Rockefeller Center, Grand Central, Time Square, 5th Ave etc. Room is small but clean and amenities works well. Room is cleaned everyday as well. You can ask for coffee machine if you'd like to and they will deliver it to your room. Some great restaurant and cafe within walking distance. Staff are friendly and always do their best to make sure you have a great stay. Elevators work fine and there is no line at all when we're there. There is also Starbucks connected to the hotel. Overall, we are happy during our stay and for sure will come back

Many issues, but would stay again At first, I was very happy with my room. Elite Members Floor. Nicely decorated. The hotel itself is nice. I got the Hemmingway suite. I felt special. And then I went to the bathroom and found hair all in the bathtub. There’s no way this bathtub has been washed. There’s hair in the drain and there’s hair all on the sides. There’s hair on the floor of the tub. This is disgusting. I expected a whole lot more from a Marriott property. I am a frequent customer of Marriott. This is embarrassing. I am very unhappy right now. I’ve made a report to the hotel, let’s see if this is remedied since the manager was VERY unhappy with my report. Edit 1… dead bug on the bathroom floor too. Pic added. Edit 2... Adding 2 stars back after the manager sent housekeeping immediately to clean the tub and floor. Edit 3... woke, ready for coffee. All the coffee pods are decaf + plus one chamomile tea. Had to get temporary dressed to go down to Starbucks before I was ready for the world I think I'm being Punk'd. Edit 4... The heat didn't come on. Set at 75, increased from 72 to 73 overnight. Room was drafty, so it felt cold. Edit 5... The fire alarm came on at 1am. No announcement in PA. Got dressed when I heard the fire trucks. We evacuated slowly through overcrowded but calm stairwells. They announced on the PA it was a false alarm as I got to the 2nd floor from the 23rd. There was several hundred people waiting for elevators to go back up. Two elevators out of service. Dozens waited in the lobby for an hour on the elevator line to thin to get back upstairs. Door to stairwell locked so had to use elevators. Additional notes... The bed is very cozy, refrigerator gets cold, ample space lots of power outlets, and charging ports. Ample desk space, but no desk chair. Two comfortable chairs and a big dressing mirror.
