Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of food, bakery, desserts, and fruit. However, I ordered orange juice from the fresh juice section and it never arrived. Check-in was extremely poorly handled. I selected early check-in (12:00) and arrived at 12:30, yet waited until 14:30 for the room. During this time, I couldn’t properly order at the beach because I had no room number. My wife is pregnant and was exhausted by the long wait. Despite leaving my number at the reception, no one called, and later I was told the room had been ready “for a while” and that I hadn’t come — which was incorrect. Worst of all, shortly after entering the room, room service entered without permission, completely violating our privacy, just to leave a coffee pot. This is unacceptable and has never happened to me in any hotel before. The room was also missing basic amenities (no slippers, no toothpaste or toothbrush), and the bed cover had visible cuts. Overall, lack of communication, and a serious privacy breach. I expected much better from Sheraton.

It is my 5th night of 12, so I've experienced enough to share my opinion. Hotel is in secured area, built "some time ago" but renovated. Renovated to the level of sensor light panel in the room but no navigation signs in the area / qr codes etc. Hotel area is big enough for your 10k feets per day. Beach is stone with sand, clean and quiet. Staff is not best-in-class trian as you could expect from Sheraton: queues to.make reservation for new year (and yes, even it is paid for 2 people, you both should be presented at the time of reservation! Rediculous!) Waiters does not have specific area to serve: it may appear bothering 4 times a quarter to be asked and then noone to come next hour. Specifically on the beach they do not remember your orders unless of good tips. The same in bar: you may always ask "ice separately" but 95% of your orders will be with ice in drinks 🤦‍♂️. What made me furious: I left towel and water on the beach bed, but when I returned in 2 hours my sunbed was clean! Nothing on it! They just took my towel for laundry and throw bottle of water away! Now I do undestand why my agent was conservative and pushed me gently to another options - defenitely for 5* hotel that's unacceptable. And there is no water corners / fridges - you should always ask for water from bar or take from your room. Re meals: it is good variety of meat, salads, breads, sweets.

Currently staying at this hotel, I must admit it has so far disappointed me, a 5 Star hotel it is not! The Puente Romano in Spain, the Dorchester in England The Palm In Dubai are certainly examples of what I feel are 5 Star hotel The Sheraton Miramar in Elgouna is at best a 3 star, the food is buffet style and is served Luke warm in huge containers, ( quantity not quality)the decor throughout is tired and dated, chipped paint work furniture worn and grubby looking. You are harassed constantly from people trying to sell you excursion's or to have your photograph taken. The saving grace is the staff’s cheerfulness and obliging nature. Thank goodness we are only here for 8 days, this review is after 3 days I am hoping for better things for the next 5 days fingers crossed, I will review the remainder of my stay at the end of the experience.

EXCELLENT HOTEL IN EVERY ASPECT. This is a hotel worthy of its name. The room is spacious, well equipped with everything, has a nespresso machine and overlooks an incredible view. The staff were wonderful. Breakfast was EXCELLENT. Almost everything was served. We got invited to a party at their bar with drinks served and appetizers. The beach was okay, it was not the proper definition of an “open” beach or a beach with open views, but was very nice, waveless like every other red sea beach. There is a nice running/walking track. Amazing experience at Sheraton.

Stayed one night as part of a road trip. Really excellent. Rooms, Service, Beach, Staff. Faultless. The only critisism is that Dinner was not quite up to scratch. Outside seating was insufficient, food OK however not hot enough...just OK, not special. Lunch was good and Breakfast really spectacular. Hats-off to Sheraton for employing some front-of-house wait-staff of short stature. ALL staff pull their weight, and are great. Really impressive that Sheraton give everyone a chance for employment and consider their wider social responsibility to the community.
