We just got back from an anniversary trip here and we loved it! We had the most amazing time. The resort is beautiful, I love how it’s landscaped and I loved the design of the rooms. The tub on the balcony and the huge shower is such a nice touch. We also loved all the restaurants and the entertainment. Every night and during the day there’s a lot to keep you busy. Casino night, live music, trivia night, pool volleyball, etc. I didn’t realize the property wasn’t on the beach but they do have a shuttle there to the beach club which was nice. Unfortunately all the restaurants there were closed but they did have the bar and they did BBQ. The seaweed was so bad you couldn’t go in the water. I wish I knew how bad it got! I was so sad to not be in the water. Everyone at the resort is very friendly and attentive. The service is always so great that’s why we keep coming back to secrets. The first day it rained and our server at the pool was so nice, bringing us drinks, helping us with the umbrella and helped us take shelter. They made me a fresh drink too. The only reason I didn’t give a perfect 5 stars is just because we went to their vacation club sales pitch breakfast and they were just so pushy. We went before in Cabo and they didn’t push us at all, they totally understood why it wasn’t a good fit for us at that time. But at this one they made us take a long cab ride to another resort and take a tour of the resort which I didn’t like because that wasn’t the resort we were staying at so I had no interest in seeing it. They brought in like 5 extra people to try to sell us after we first said no. We had to keep explaining our personal reasons to each new person and I did not appreciate that. It felt like we weren’t being heard as humans. I also don’t like that when you first check in they send you over to the girl trying to book you to go to the sales pitch. We had been up since 3am and traveling, we wanted to go to relax and go eat and she just wouldn’t let us, she kept asking us personal questions and talking and it was just too much. Next time I’m going to say no, that really made me never want to go to another sales breakfast again. Sales breakfast aside we had a perfect trip! I loved it so much and definitely recommend it! The concierge was also so nice I think her name was Abril and she really took care of us and made our anniversary so special!

Our stay at Secrets Tulum didn’t start out great but it had nothing to do with the resort. We had secured a room beachside for my wife’s birthday and when we arrived we were told that the sargazo (seaweed) had taken over the coast and it was not advisable to stay in those rooms. With the help from our concierge Nataly (who is amazing) and her manager Fernando our stay turned out to be wonderful. The resort is so nice and EVERYBODY we encountered there was very friendly and accommodating. We visited the on site restaurants for breakfast and dinner and the food along with the service is top notch. I’d also like to thank our servers Pable, Jacinto, Gaspar and Carolina for taking care of us in the restaurants. As for the nightly shows……wow!!!! Great entertainment and great food. Between the singers, ballet folklorico and the fire show we were never bored. We traveled outside of the resort for a couple of excursions and at no time did we feel uneasy or unsafe. We look forward to going back to Secrets Tulum to see what else we can experience. Once again thank you to everyone at Secrets Tulum for making our stay a delight. We’ll be back.

We stayed at the villa on the beach and used the shuttle to go back and forth for the big resort. We were in the “preferred club” or whatever it is called. At our villa, the food, service and everything was awesome. At the big resort, the service was uhhhh sucky and the food at the restaurants also was not very good and took over 2 hours each night. We had a group of 12 so that wasn’t the issue. Also… in Mexico, why would you only be able to get guacamole at the preferred pool… that is the entire point of being in Mexico and eating chips and guacamole at the pools… not having to hunt down a pool where it’s served. Anyways, after this, I probably won’t visit another secrets. I would however take all the staff from the villa with me to another resort because they made the stay amazing.

Absolutely loved our stay at Secrets in Tulum. The room was spectacular—airy, stylish, and impeccably maintained—while the food was solid and enjoyable, with a few variety that complemented the overall experience. The service was great, with staff consistently going above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of from check-in to departure. But the real gem of our visit was Enrique, who led guests through a wide range of activities—from dance classes to water volleyball and aerobics. He was energetic, fun, and genuinely passionate, and his warmth transformed ordinary moments into memorable ones. Thank you, Enrique, for making our stay fun, lively, and truly happy; Secrets Tulum delivers a superb tropical escape with standout rooms, reliable service, and an extraordinary team member who adds that special spark.

Secrets Tulum Resort is absolutely gorgeous, and the overall aesthetic is beautiful. The rooms are spacious, modern, and very well designed. Unfortunately, I found the food to be disappointing for the price point of this resort. I did not enjoy any of my meals during my stay, as much of the food tasted flash-frozen and lacked the quality I would expect from an all-inclusive resort in this category. If high-quality food is important to you, I would not personally recommend this resort. Our first room also had a strong mildewy smell, and the air conditioning was not functioning properly. After bringing the issue to the staff’s attention, they accommodated us with a different room, which was perfect. The AC worked well, and there were no odor issues, so I appreciated their willingness to resolve the problem. One thing I found particularly challenging was navigating the resort. It is very large, and I frequently found myself getting lost trying to find restaurants and other amenities. I believe better signage throughout the property would greatly improve the guest experience. In fact, we missed dining at one of the restaurants entirely because we could not find it. Overall, the resort is visually stunning with beautiful accommodations, but the food quality and difficulty navigating the property kept it from being the luxury experience I was expecting.
