We wanted to love this resort, but unfortunately, our experience was heavily impacted by the food quality. First, the positives: The property itself is beautiful, the pools are absolutely stunning, and our room was excellent with absolutely no issues at all. The staff members are also incredibly friendly, attentive, and work hard to provide great service. However, we paid a significant amount of money to stay at a 5-star all-inclusive resort, and the standard of food here simply doesn't match the price tag. We travel quite a bit and have a generally strong stomach, but the food here completely caught us out. On our second day, I got food poisoning from a room service order. Since then, it’s been a constant battle—either myself or my partner have ended up with a bad stomach immediately after eating meals here. The quality control is severely lacking. The breakfast buffet food is routinely served cold, and the overall standard is just very poor across the board. When you pay a premium for a luxury all-inclusive experience, you expect high-quality dining, not to be dealing with stomach issues after every meal. It is a real shame because the room, the resort, and the staff look and act the part. But until they fix their basic food hygiene and kitchen standards, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

My fiance and I had an amazing time at this resort! The service was great, people constantly asking us how our stay is and if we needed anything. The room was immaculate and cleaned within a few hours of us leaving to go to the pool every morning. The resort itself is beautiful. Food was delicious, easy to make reservations on the app, taco stand open super late, and our food at most restaurants came out shockingly quickly! Some highlights: - The live music at the covered area over looking the pool at night was spectacular. Very romantic and the musicians/singers were extremely talented. - The canvas bag painting in the same covered area was so fun, the women helping out were a joy. - Saul, the waiter at the French restaurant, was so kind and funny. He made our experience so enjoyable that night! - Our first night we didn’t have a dinner reservation but tried to put our name down for a table anyways and were told they’d have a table open in less than an hour! - Transportation to and from the airport as well as to and from the Xplor park (very fun) were seamless Reasons it’s not a 5 star rating yet: - We really wish the pools were open later than 6:30 since it’s an adults only resort - The coupons they give you upon check-in require you to spend a large amount of money for them to be useful. Massages are pretty pricey so $40 off isn’t a great deal - The ocean had lots of sargassum but we knew this when we booked for this time of year. Not the resort’s fault, but just a heads up if you’re wanting to spend time in the ocean!

We recently celebrated our anniversary at Moxché, and overall it was an incredible experience. The food was absolutely amazing every meal exceeded our expectations, with great variety, quality, and presentation. The service throughout the resort was outstanding, and the staff truly helped make our anniversary feel special and memorable. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and well-maintained. While we enjoyed having a swim-out room, we probably wouldn't book one again simply because we didn't use it enough to justify the extra cost. That's more about our personal preferences than any issue with the room itself. The grounds were immaculate and very well cared for. Everywhere we went, the resort was clean, inviting, and visually stunning. The only area that didn't quite match the rest of the experience was the butler service. It was okay and helpful when needed, but it wasn't a standout feature compared to the exceptional service we received from the rest of the staff. Overall, Moxché provided a wonderful anniversary getaway, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for excellent food, beautiful accommodations, and top-notch service. This was our third stay at a Secrets resort, having previously visited Secrets Akumal and Secrets Jamaica, and once again, Secrets exceeded our expectations. This trip was especially memorable as we traveled with a large group to celebrate a birthday, and collectively we all had a fantastic experience. The food was excellent throughout the resort, and the drink selection was outstanding, with premium top-shelf liquors, great cocktails, and plenty of mocktail options. Our favorite restaurants were Bamboo and Allora, both of which delivered exceptional meals and service. We also loved grabbing a fresh pizza from the Barefoot Grill for a midday snack by the pool. A special thank you to Gustavo at the pool, who was always attentive, friendly, and eager to help. Daniella also did an amazing job leading activities and keeping guests engaged throughout the day. During our stay, my wife injured her finger on one of the pool beds. What stood out most was how caring and attentive the entire Secrets team was afterward. Multiple staff members checked in on her throughout our stay to make sure she was okay and to see if there was anything they could do to help. That level of genuine hospitality did not go unnoticed. Overall, this was another wonderful Secrets experience, and it certainly won’t be our last. The Secrets journey continues—hopefully our next stop will be Secrets Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic!

Very good service. Wait staff all very polite, efficient. Pool Bartenders good. One standout was Francisco at Bisou, the French restaurant. He's exceptional, as was everything about Bisou. We went back twice due to the quality of the food, service and atmosphere. We knew the beach was not noteworthy before we went, so we weren't disappointed. We were still able to walk the beach, just didn't get in the water due to sargassum. We LOVE Secrets Akumal and said that other than the beach, we would rank this right up there with Akumal.
