Our stay at Secrets Maroma was absolutely incredible, but what truly made this trip unforgettable was the extraordinary kindness and care shown by the staff. I am a breast cancer survivor, and during our trip the team planned a surprise that completely overwhelmed me in the best possible way. They secretly coordinated with my friends to record messages celebrating my journey and recovery. They spent their own time helping put everything together, and then surprised me by inviting me on stage during one of the evening shows and playing the video in front of everyone. It is seriously one of the nicest things I’ve ever experienced and one of the nicest things that has happened to me. The video was filled with heartfelt messages from people I love, and the audience’s support and encouragement made the entire experience feel like a dream. It is a memory I will cherish for the rest of my life. I want to give special recognition to Isabel Rabelo, who was the mastermind behind the entire surprise and even stayed after hours to make sure everything came together. Thank you to Leonardo Somohano for recording the videos, Daniel Macuil for helping host the event and for the thoughtful souvenir, and DJ Daniel for putting the video together. What you created was so much more than entertainment—it was a gift that touched my heart in a way I will never forget. The entire resort was beautiful, the service was exceptional, and the staff consistently went above and beyond. But it was this act of kindness and compassion that made Secrets Maroma stand out from any resort I’ve ever visited. Thank you for creating a memory that my friends and I will treasure forever.

All inclusive Secrets Maroma. This is an adult only vacation spot. You are away from the main stream and fairly isolated. This is not in the hotel zone. Multiple restraints to choose from. Dress codes are enforced for each of the different restaurants. Food is very good and the service is excellent. From the moment you walk into the resort you feel welcome. Staff are all friendly and happy to help with your needs. Pool areas are crowded and you do want to get your spot early as they do fill up quickly. Clean and very beautiful. We celebrated our 25th anniversary and they had a bottle of Champagne in the room waiting for us and a banner on our door. Every building has a concierge if you need any help, as well as the ones in the main building. You will be asked to join the Unlimited Vacation Club, and they are part of the World of Hyatt. You can say no without any problems. We have enjoyed being members and had had great vacations through this club.

Our stay at Secrets Maroma was simply incredible. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything exceeded our expectations. We absolutely loved this resort and cannot wait to come back! What truly made this experience unforgettable was the exceptional staff. We would especially like to recognize Mr. Domingo at the French restaurant. His service was second to none—warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. He made us feel completely at home, and he was actually the reason we were the only restaurant we visited twice during our stay. We specifically went back because of him! If you have the opportunity, we highly recommend asking for Domingo. He will make your dining experience truly special. We would also like to thank Mr. Freddy at the World Café. His attention to detail was outstanding, and he was always attentive, friendly, and eager to ensure everything was perfect. We found ourselves asking for him every time we visited because we knew we would receive exceptional service. Another team member who deserves special recognition is Mr. Miguel at Seaside Grill and Oceana. His kindness, sweetness, and genuine hospitality made every meal even more enjoyable. He was absolutely wonderful and left a lasting impression on us. We would also like to give a special shoutout to Chef Francisco at Hibachi. He is, without a doubt, the best hibachi chef we have ever experienced. Not only was the food outstanding, but the show he put on was absolutely incredible—fun, engaging, and truly unforgettable. He made the entire experience one of the highlights of our trip. Beyond the outstanding staff, the resort itself is impeccable. The facilities are beautiful and exceptionally well maintained, the food is truly on another level, and the entertainment shows were so much fun. One thing we also greatly appreciated was how convenient it was to book excursions and activities. The resort has knowledgeable and professional staff on-site who can help arrange tours and experiences, making the process seamless, safe, and stress-free. It gave us peace of mind knowing we were booking through trusted experts, and it allowed us to enjoy some truly unforgettable experiences during our stay. We came to Secrets Maroma to relax and celebrate our anniversary, and the experience surpassed everything we were hoping for and more. An exceptional stay from start to finish. Impeccable service throughout, with a level of attention that truly defines luxury. The food was outstanding — six-star quality, and the beachfront is pure paradise with pristine sand and breathtaking water. The staff were flawless. Felix at the Japanese restaurant was an incredibly entertaining hibachi chef, Andre at Coco Café made our morning coffee a daily highlight, and Isabel from the entertainment team brought great energy and warmth. A special thank-you as well to Fernando at lunch for his outstanding service. We were celebrating our anniversary and were pleasantly surprised with a sash on the door and champagne waiting in our room — a thoughtful touch that made the stay even more memorable. A resort that delivers luxury in every detail.

Secrets Maroma Beach is a beautiful, well-maintained resort with excellent service and a very relaxed, upscale atmosphere. Our oceanfront room was spotless, housekeeping came twice a day, and the staff everywhere — especially on the beach — went out of their way to make our stay great. WiFi was outstanding throughout the resort and security was impressive. The beach is gorgeous, though there is a noticeable amount of seaweed despite the staff working hard to clean it. Food overall is a solid B+. Some restaurants were excellent (Oceania had an incredible sea bass), while others were forgettable or poor (La Terrazza was easily the worst). Drinks were a C+ — inconsistent and not what you’d expect at this price point. The shows were decent and there are fun included activities like a kitchen tour and bike tour. Check-in was great, but our scheduled check-out pickup never happened. We had Preferred Club only because it came with our room; we would not pay extra for it as it didn’t add meaningful value. Guests were respectful, well-dressed for dinner, and simply there to relax. No loud partying or entitled behavior. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it with reasonable expectations: great service, beautiful property, relaxing vibe, good (not amazing) food, and a few service inconsistencies. Restaurant ranking (best to worst): Oceania, La Patio, Seaside Grill, Bordeaux, World Café, Himitsu, Portofino, La Terrazza. Tips: – If you land after 5pm, stay at the Courtyard airport and go in the morning (saves ~$1,000). – Oceanview IS NOT oceanfront; no first-floor rooms have ocean views. And those they sell as “ocean view” are pretty far from beach. – Download the Hyatt All-Inclusive app before you go to view menus at all the restaurants. – Tell your mini-bar attendant exactly what you want when you arrive. – Arrange private transport; Uber cannot pick up at the resort. You can also take a taxi ($80 to airport). – Using Apple Pay/credit card usually adds ~10% fee. – Bring about $200 in $5 bills for tipping — you’ll want to.
