Literally still in amazement. This resort has it all. Bring your own snorkel mask and see all the fish and maybe even a turtle just off the beach. Take a kayak tour or go visit Tulum or Chichen Itza if history is your thing! We rented a car to travel around and felt safe all over the place. Ricardo was our concierge and he was awesome! Such a great human being that truly enjoys his job. The entire staff was helpful and kind the entire time we were here!

My Husband and I visited the resort for our late honeymoon and were blown away by the service. Before we had even arrived, we were contacted by the incredible Cici who reached out to confirm any dietary requirements (We are both Vegetarians, and i have an allergy to Avocado) as well as sort out holiday extra’s such as room decorations, arrival times etc. Once we had arrived, the team at secrets were very attentive in ensuring we felt right at home. Cici introduced us to the Dietary Team Lead Santiago who would continuously check we were okay with Food options and if the Hotel could accommodate us in any way. We were continuously reassured that all a la carte resturants would have options for us and if we wanted something else the chefs would be able to make this for us. When we visited Himatsu (the Pan Asian restaurant) the Chef’s were able to make Vegetable Gyoza’s, Tofu Pad Thai, Tofu Thai Green Curry and this was only because we had requested it. Overall, the hotel is very attentive in ensuring that any dietary requirements are accounted for, and as strict Vegetarian’s, my husband and I did not go hungry this trip. Our building concierge, Diana was fab in making sure we had plans for each evening, she would continuously check in to ensure we were okay and if there was anything she could do. She also worked with the hotel to make sure our room was decorated to celebrate our honeymoon. The pool staff were incredible in making sure we had sun beds and were not in the sun for too long. The entertainment at this resort is 10/10, all the staff go above and beyond to get you involved. Shout out to Carlos for taking us on the most Magical Turtle experience. Our holiday at secrets would not have been the same if it weren’t for Cici, Diana and Santiago! If you’re visiting the resort, know you are in safe hands, it’s the best resort I’ve visited.

This place really knocked my socks off- for a 2nd time!! We came here for a little getaway as UVC, after a really bad experience at Zotrey Isla Mujers. Needless to say, I was coming in hot and expecting a bunch of crap bc Zoetry was such a bad bad experience. None of that happened! The entire staff, both UVC and secrets, did everything they could to make every desire we had come true. The Greek restaurant was phenomenal. Spot on, authentic. The service was impeccable around the pool and the beach. The concierge was on it with anything we needed. We decided last minute we wanted to stay an extra day… These people made it happen, and even let us stay in our own room despite a fully booked hotel. I imagine that took a miracle to pull off. This is the kind of experience I expect for the price you paid to come here. You guys did amazing.’ We’ll be back in February!

My family all went with our spouses and had on of the best trips ever! My mom is amazing at finding the best places and she’s outdone herself finding this resort. It was my partners 6 year anniversary and my brother’s birthday and they made it so special. We did the preferred package so we had higher quality drinks and more private areas of the resort, highly recommended! The rooms are outstanding, super super clean, they truly make everything spotless. The bathtub with jets had me a bit scared since most places don’t clean them but it was very clean. And they provide shampoo/conditioner/ lotion from a high end New York brand listing from $100 a bottle and I smelled amazing the whole trip! The activities here are endless you can go snorkel out in the ocean that is so clear you can just walk in and see the fish, you can layout on the beach, both the party pool and quiet pool depending on how you’re feeling. They have volley ball, bingo, painting, water aerobics etc… they also have a late night club open till 1am every night and multiple shows. The service is very attentive so people are constantly walking around asking if you need a drink and food. If you do the spa as well it was perfect for couples or just a needed relaxing time. They have a hydro water pool and the massages are great. For food I really have no words… all the restaurants are Michelin star. Each place we went was out of the moon with presentation and taste, some of the best food I’ve ever had. The French and Italian restaurants were my favorite!! We tried almost every restaurant but you have so many options and was excited to dress up nice after a day out in the sun. And the most important part of this trip was the people. None of this resort could be this special without the employees, they truly are incredible, talented and hardworking individuals. Diego became like family he was so personable and kind! The activity coordinators were so inclusive with everyone and always smiling and all of our servers were so humble and sweet. My family decided to bring tip money for all our servers and I’d suggest you do to they really deserve it!

We had a wonderful stay at Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya and truly felt well looked after from start to finish. The resort itself is beautiful, with great facilities, delicious dining options and a stunning beach, but what really stood out was the exceptional service. Monica, our concierge, was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our stay - always on hand and genuinely caring. The information and PDFs shared were extremely useful and made planning and enjoying our time at the resort very easy. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, approachable, and always willing to help, which made a huge difference and made us feel very welcome. Housekeeping was excellent overall and we especially loved the turndown service, such a thoughtful touch. We would absolutely recommend Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya and would love to return in the future.
