Had a wonderful experience at Railay Village Resort. Started with a seamless pickup at the airport with a lunch stop on the way to the pier and a short boat ride to Railay Beach. Staff were friendly and efficient, the resort grounds were beautiful and our pool side room was spacious, clean and well appointed. We were able to take advantage of the rental sea kayaks at the beach and enjoyed the breakfast buffet. We also enjoyed joyed the massage services offered at the spa. Definitely be my choice when we return to Krabi!

I booked two standard rooms and one villa with a pool, expecting the villa to be the highlight. Shockingly, the cheaper rooms were in much better condition. The villa was dirty and poorly maintained (see attached photos). ​The Lows: ​Service: Most staff were rude and uninterested. The only exception was one friendly lady at reception whose name I unfortunately didn't catch. ​Dirty Facilities: The pool water was visibly dirty. ​Overpriced: The pool bar prices are so inflated that most guests buy drinks at a nearby shop instead. ​Special Occasions: We mentioned several times it was a friend's birthday, but the hotel did absolutely nothing. ​The Exit: Even asking for the beach transfer felt like a burden to the staff; the driver was openly indignant. ​The Highs: ​The breakfast was actually delicious. ​The location is stunning and perfect. ​Final Verdict: Such a shame to see a beautiful location ruined by terrible management. I will never book here again and do not recommend it.

Oh for Godsake

We only booked for one night for our wedding anniversary. We wanted somewhere a bit more up market and this place delivered. The rooms were spacious and clean. The location is right on the beach, although our room was set back about 50 yards. The staff can't do enough for you either. We were only let down by a rowdy drunk family whooping and splashing other guests around the pool, and telling us all to "chill" when we complained. Apart from that, it was great.

Make sure you tell them ahead of time what time you will arrive on the pier. We did not know to do this, and we had to drag our suitcases in the hot sun all over the island until we found the resort! This was not their fault at all, we just didn’t know. The resort is beautiful, and the staff were very friendly. I would suggest that they add more pool chairs, they only had about half the amount as needed so people were constantly having to share one pool chair or not being able to enjoy the pool at all because there weren’t enough chairs open We did have problems with our AC and our shower, but the staff were very attentive at getting it fixed for us Overall, for a four star resort, this is a really great option!

Convenient location of the hotel. A very beautiful garden with well-maintained plants, where you can see animals such as monitor lizards, monkeys, squirrels, and frogs. Breakfasts are not very diverse, with few fruits, but the view of the beach is lovely. There are two pools, but the shower by the pool does not work. The staff is friendly. The villas look nice from the outside. Inside, however, the interior is very worn-out — about 17 years old. The doors are old, with dirt stuck to the handles. When we checked in, we found the jacuzzi bathtub and the sink uncleaned, with hair left inside. The faucet is very old and covered with stains. There are no dispenser containers for liquid soap or shower gel. There were stains from some liquids on the floor, and it wasn’t cleaned even once during our stay. The air conditioner works, but it is extremely noisy — it’s impossible to sleep. The lighting is very dim. The towels are worn-out. There are no disposable slippers; instead, there are slippers and fabric sandals that don’t look fresh. There is no comfortable chair in the room. There are no bedside lamps on the nightstands. There are mosquitoes on the hotel grounds, but the hotel does not provide any mosquito repellents. There are no showers near the pools. There is no spa at the hotel. The small pond near our villa was half-empty and had feces floating in it. It’s a pity that in such a beautiful place guests are offered villas that are unpleasant to stay in due to the lack of renovation and poor cleanliness
