We had a fantastic stay at Krabi La Playa Resort. 2 adults and 2 children, we had a family garden room. The rooms were huge, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The gardens and pool area are absolutely beautiful and so well maintained, creating a really relaxing atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, we received the warmest welcome, and every member of staff we met was friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The breakfast was excellent with a great selection each morning. We also loved the resort’s commitment to sustainability, with recycling initiatives, craft activities using recycled materials, and even organised beach cleans that guests can join if they wish. The location is perfect too – just a 3-minute walk to the beach, with plenty of lovely restaurants, cafés, and shops right on the doorstep. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend Krabi La Playa Resort to anyone visiting Ao Nang.

I was very impressed with my solo stay here. The reception staff kindly chose a room close to them for me because of my age, which made me feel safe and well cared for. I was especially impressed by Nina, who talked with me every day. It was wonderful to have someone to chat with, and I never felt lonely. During my stay, I joined the hotel activities, including baking classes, and there were activities for me to enjoy every day, so I never felt bored. In addition, the dinners served at the hotel every evening were delicious, with generous portions and great attention to detail. All of the staff made me feel warm and welcomed. Staying here felt like living the dream I had always imagined for my later years.

The hotel was decent but not great. When our group checked in, we had booked 4 rooms with 2 single beds each via booking.com. The hotel said they do not have any of the rooms we booked, and only have a double bed instead. After arguing for about 30 minutes and having the manager talk to us, the rooms with the single beds became available. So the rooms were always there but they did not want to give it to us. It left a sour taste on our stay. They also have a single room key policy, which was a huge constraint since we either need to be together, or have to ask the staff to open the room for us. Additionally to the single room key, when asking staff to open up a room for you, there was no verification that you are actually staying in that room, so you could essentially ask to enter any room, which is a big safety issue. The towels had a weird smell to them over the 3 nights we stayed there. The rooms were otherwise clean and spacious, and overall it was a decent stay.

Overall it’s a fantastic hotel and amazing value for money. We stayed there for 2 weeks and felt like at home from day 1. It’s centrally located with everything on its doorstep - shops, markets, restaurants and beautiful beaches. Yet inside it feels quiet if you want to relax by the pool. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is good and fresh. Reviews were right, all staff are absolutely fantastic and very helpful. There’s a lovely lady by the reception offering excursions at very good prices. We used her services for ferry tickets, scooter hire, elephants, restaurant booking etc, definitely recommend!

An amazing resort. Beautiful facilities. Wonderful staff: Restaurant staff were attentive to our every need cooking off menu & catering to our dietary needs; Room Cleaning was fantastic; Wan (Tour counter) & Nina (front desk) were brilliant helping us top-up our SIM card! We will definitely be coming back. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay in Krabi magical.
