I had a medical issue and needed to get to hospital. Zayda and her staff were very helpful with getting me taken care of and even checking in with my family while I was getting care. The resort had great food, lots of options for food, drinks, and entertainment. Habibi had excellent food (breakfast and dinner). My family loved the karaoke and wired lounge, as well as hopping over to the other Moon Palace resorts. Staff all around was incredible. Staff at the water park played with the kids. Lots of pools and options for a quick snack or longer meals. Buffet had a solid breakfast- omelet stand was excellent.

Everything we expected and more. Would 100% recommend to anyone wanting a family friendly resort. The ocean was as expected and we probably wouldn’t go again in May because of it but everything else was perfect. Worth the 5lbs I gained from the amazing food. One other note: the resort didn’t feel crowded ever, which surprised me. It was so nice.

If you want to go to a place with a really crappy beach And get nickel and dimed the whole way through the process. This is the place for you. You too can get a 1500 dollar "credit". Which translates to NOTHING. All credits are charged a 16 percent fee. Free massages/manicure/pedicure....sure. Only if your 18 and up. Want to spend your credit at the spa. Sure. But only 500 of it. Just to make sure you pay even more out of pocket. Golf is about the only thing you want to do that is worth it. Forgot your clubs don't worry they will charge your entire group definitely won't let you share even though your taking young kids. They all need their own. Jewelry store. Sweet I would love to use my credit. Sure you can but only on these HORRIBLE trashy non precious jewelry. Clothing.....yeah sure but only on souvenirs. None of the nice stuff. So glad all the perks I signed up for for my family of five and now absolutely worthless. But you're in Cancun so the beach should be great right???? I don't even know how they can call this a beach. The whole place smells like a septic system because there is a pile of seaweed as tall as I am all up and down the beach. The whole 10 ft of sand. Definitely won't be back. It's an older place. Everything is used and it's too big and spread out. Not impressed. Hard pass for this girl.

The hotel is amazing! The food was really good, and the customer service was excellent. Using the app was very helpful and worked perfectly throughout our stay. The only downside is the beach, but the hotel does such a great job with everything else that you hardly worry about it. The nightly shows were enjoyable, and the resort is very large—so be prepared to do a lot of walking or wait for transportation. The water park is absolutely amazing and definitely a highlight of the stay. I would definitely love to go back!

This was my second stay at Moon Palace The Grand Cancun, and unfortunately it was a completely different experience from my first visit. Our group of 10 booked four rooms and one Governor Suite for four nights. Before arriving, we called multiple times to arrange dinner reservations, and the hotel repeatedly confirmed everything was set. However, when we arrived, the reservations had been made incorrectly, with some scheduled as late as 10:00 PM—completely impractical when traveling with a one-year-old. After a flight delay of more than two hours, we were hoping for a smooth check-in and a quick meal, but instead spent over an hour resolving reservation issues while staff focused on membership upsells rather than guest needs. Because restaurant availability was limited, we ended up at the buffet, which offered poor food quality and very limited selection. Throughout our stay, the constant sales pressure continued, including during checkout. As a large resort, I would have expected staff to provide guidance on nearby amenities. We later discovered a pool and breakfast option just two minutes from our building—information that would have significantly improved our stay had it been shared upon arrival. We dined at JC Steakhouse, Habibi, Le Château, and Circus. For a resort that markets itself as luxury, the food quality was disappointing. Jade was the only restaurant we genuinely enjoyed. Several members of our group experienced food poisoning after dining at JC Steakhouse and Circus, which was especially concerning. Even basic dishes at Circus arrived cold, and many food options felt generic rather than premium. The rooms also had strong unpleasant odors, and it took a long time for staff to provide diffusers. Additionally, when we requested that our luggage be delivered while we grabbed a meal after check-in, we were told we had to remain in our rooms for delivery, creating further inconvenience. For the price paid, there are many other resorts that offer more personalized service, better food, and a more welcoming atmosphere. What stood out most was the lack of hospitality—many employees appeared disengaged, which detracted from the relaxing experience we were hoping for. Management would benefit from spending more time engaging with guests, gathering feedback, and addressing concerns in real time rather than prioritizing membership sales. Sadly, this stay left us very disappointed and unlikely to return.
