We stayed in Boat suite with pool access and Level access. Boat suite is disappointing- small bedroom upstairs, steep stairs leading from ground floor to the bedroom, room gets very hot as it’s right under the roof, and aircon unit is right opposite the bed blasting out cold air in your face. Aircon is very old and noisy. All boat suites are overlooked so you can’t really open the curtains without having someone peeking through from villas next door or looking into someone’s room. Limited storage and wardrobes could definitely have more drawers/ shelves. Room needs updating and outdoor area looks very tired as well. Great to have access to Level lounge but feel it was too full for its capacity. Also feel lounge should be adults only- have nothing against kids but the hotel is lacking adult vibes if you know what I mean. There’s swim up bar right next to kids playroom which is weird- we saw parents getting smashed and falling over during happy hour while “looking after” their kids playing in the pool. This is kind of place where you need to rush out at dawn to put your towels to secure best sun loungers which we didn’t expect in Melia! Loungers and sun sofas around main pool and boat villas need some deep cleaning and/or replacement. If you have to stay here- save your money on boat suites and just book swim up rooms- your bedroom and bathroom will be bigger with better access to the pool. Overall would not recommend.
Sofea Aemilia
We stayed at Meliá for 5 nights and had an amazing experience from check-in to check-out. The breakfast was good, though it could have included more Thai dishes. The breakfast staff were wonderful—helpful, humble, and always remembered us and our room number. Shopping was convenient with the hotel’s free shuttle, and when it wasn’t available, the reception and concierge team kindly helped us get a taxi. The Yhi Spa was amazing and truly relaxing. The hotel is very close to the beach, making it easy to visit anytime, and there are many nearby restaurants for meals. Special thanks to Selena, Lucy, Jzy, Daniel, K, Deaw, Auto, Miew, Natty, Bay, Krod, BB, and Pang. Even if I missed a few names, the entire Meliá team made us feel very welcome and gave us a wonderful stay.

A beautiful hotel with an amazing pool area by the beach. The rooms are spacious and modern. The staff were lovely and very attentive to details. We especially appreciated the room upgrade upon check-in, thanks to Rainbow, who was very welcoming and kind. Auto was also very friendly and helpful with our luggage. We had a small complaint about noisy guests talking and partying late at night in the rooms and corridors. Although this was not the hotel’s fault, the situation was handled very professionally, and we were kindly offered another room. Overall, a very pleasant stay with excellent service.

The rooms are modern, very clean, and extremely comfortable. I especially enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, the beachfront area, and the excellent breakfast with a wide variety of options. What truly makes this hotel stand out is the outstanding service. The entire team is friendly, attentive, and highly professional, making you feel welcome and well cared for at all times. I would like to give a very special and heartfelt thank you to Baw (Kuson Kongthong). His kindness, helpfulness, and dedication go far beyond expectations. He was not only incredibly supportive and attentive to me, but also consistently helpful and respectful to all guests. It is clear that he genuinely cares about people and takes great pride in his work. Team members like him truly make a difference and elevate the entire guest experience. Thanks to staff members like Baw, a great hotel becomes an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend Meliá Koh Samui and would be more than happy to return.

An unforgettable stay at Meliá Koh Samui We had an absolutely amazing time at Meliá Koh Samui. Everything about this resort exceeded our expectations. The resort is beautifully designed. Whether you’re relaxing by the pools, walking through the lush gardens, or heading down toward the beach. Every area feels thoughtfully laid out and immaculately maintained. The atmosphere is the perfect balance of relaxed and upscale. The pools were fantastic, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the overall vibe made it very easy to unwind and truly enjoy the holiday. A special mention absolutely has to go to Back, the bartender at the pool bar. He was genuinely amazing. Incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating every single time we visited. He remembered us, made great recommendations, and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. His service alone elevated our entire poolside experience and made us feel so well looked after. From the service to the setting, everything felt effortless and high quality. We left feeling refreshed and already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend Meliá Koh Samui to anyone looking for a memorable, relaxing, and well-run resort experience.
