This hotel was a truly wonderful experience! — We got upgraded to an ocean view room, very spacious and beautiful. The room was well maintained and cleaned upon request. — Food is delicious and the choices are generous, keep in mind though it can be crowded at certain restos esp. during peak hours, so try to come in at odd times. The Impression side tends to be less busy. — Staff is attentive and friendly, doing their best to take care of everyone. Our butlers Rafa and Gilbert were always on top of everything. — The pool options are unparalleled, I highly recommend the Rooftop + Cielo. — The spa is good too! We were allowed to exchange the complimentary massage for hydrocircuit therapy instead. What could be improved: — Taking reservations for restos to reduce lines. — The resort credit can’t exactly be used unless you already spend a substantial amount. For Impression vs Secrets comparison, don’t hesitate to upgrade to Impression if you want to make sure you have more privacy and less crowds. It’s totally worth the extra $. My husband and I both got food poisoning. We’ve never done an all inclusive before, but decided to for our baby moon so we could relax and not leave the resort. In being on our babymoon and GF, I was bummed at the lack of mocktail options. GF options were okay but not every server was aware of gluten free options and the menus weren’t consistent with providing that information. The food was amazing but we were surprised to both get food poisoning, and from the Impressions specific restaurant at that since it’s only for the Impressions guests and supposedly higher end. It sucks to get food poisoning in general, but to get food poisoning when pregnant in a foreign country is definitely a different level of anxiety. Even after completing the survey after our trip, no one reached out to us — hence why I’m reluctantly writing this review. The place was beautiful and rooms were incredible. We noticed a lot of people had signs on their doors for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, honeymoon; but even though I had indicated we were there for our babymoon when booking the trip, reception had to ask if we were celebrating anything. The butlers made it right once they found out what we were celebrating. Yoga and gym were amazing. Spa was beautiful. Overall, fun and beautiful trip, but for the price you pay to stay at Impressions, I was a little disappointed at the lack of attention to detail.

Incredible please! I've been to many resorts and this has been placed at #1 on the list. Names worth mentioning are Axel and Cristian, the entertainment staff. Roberto, by the pool helping us with drinks was on top of his game! Cesar and Omar, our butlers, were very good and very professional. All of these people were born to work with other people. Excellent views throughout the resort. I would recommend staying at Secrets Moxche and then spending a single night or two at Impression so you can enjoy the roof top and try the food.

Absolutely loved our stay at Impressions Moxche! The upgrade to the Impressions side of the resort was WELL worth it—you have access to the most incredible pools as well as some great food options. This was some of the best resort food I've ever had, and the service was great. Having a butler was such a nice luxury, and Cesar was so attentive, kind, and ensured we had an amazing stay. If you love pools, this resort is a no-brainer. The pools across the entire resort are great, but the impressions pools are next level. We saw mixed reviews about the beach due to the area being a little smaller and has seaweed at times, but during our November trip I didn't think seaweed was an issue and the ocean was sufficient for what we were looking for. Unless you're going just to hang out on the beach for your entire stay, I would say 100% book this hotel. Also, the rooms are beautiful, spacious, and quiet. Would highly recommend to anyone considering booking a trip to Impressions Moxche!

I’m writing this review while still staying at the resort. We checked in yesterday in this so called 5* resort, in a beautiful room with a private swim up pool, planning to stay here for 6 days, at an exorbitant cost. We did stay the week before but on the Secrets Moxche side in the Preferred Club Level (both hotels are within the same complex) and we said we would try the Impressions Moxche side which promised to be ‘the summum of luxury’, but came with a nightly cost of just under $2,000 USD. We were shocked to discover that although you have a butler, you still have to queue in line in for the 4 main restaurants within the resort, as the restaurant Ceilo, at Impressions only offers breakfast and lunch. We have manage through our butler to reserve a table at their gourmet restaurant (Teodoro) and another night for the simple hibachi Japanese in the Suki restaurant (which at the end of the day we could have done it ourselves without the need of a butler). None of the pools on this property are heated, icy cold including our swim up private pool. The jacuzzi this morning at the rooftop was only 87F and gets filled quite quickly because nobody wants to go in the cold pools (these remain pretty much empty all day). The food in Ceilo is of a mediocre quality, (we found the food at the Preferred Club at top Level in Secrets Moxche to be of a better quality). As regarding the bar on the top level which is supposed to have premium liquor, failed miserably yesterday to have any Patron tequila available as they supposedly ran out. The A/C in the rooms are of extremely poor quality, they are adamant you can sleep at 72F (forget it if you want 68F/67F) we begged our butler for a fan just to be able to spread the cooler air from the lounge section into the bedroom section. Service is definitely lacking, room service 70-80 minutes wait (though this is the same for both resorts). We had to fight to have towels left for the outdoor swim up pool and this is only our first day here. Although our two butlers Julio and Cesar, tried to do their utmost they had themselves to fight against an inefficient structure at Impressions. If you choose to come here stay at Secrets Moxche side, do not pay the extra cost to stay at Impressions, it’s all within the same property, you don’t gain anything for the extra cost you have to pay to stay at Impressions. Believe me this review is based on full objectivity having stayed at 5 other luxury resorts within the same area and stayed the week before at secrets mosche section All the hype of Impressions is just a coverage and not worth the money .
