We had a wonderful stay at this resort! The property is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help, which made our vacation even more enjoyable. A special thank you to Brenda, our concierge. She was amazing from the moment we arrived—kind, attentive, and always available whenever we needed anything. She truly made us feel well taken care of and helped make our stay even more special. The only area where I felt there was room for improvement was the availability of vegan protein options. As a vegan, I sometimes struggled to find enough protein choices at the buffet . I also asked for Impossible Burgers or Impossible Meat on several occasions, but unfortunately, they were unavailable most of the time. Adding more vegan protein options would make the experience even better. A special highlight goes to Star Camp—it was absolutely 10/10 and, without a doubt, one of the best parts of the resort. If you’re traveling with kids, this is truly the highlight of the hotel. The activities were fantastic, and the staff did an amazing job making it fun and engaging for the children. Overall, we had a fantastic stay, and we would definitely recommend this resort. We would love to come back!

Best atmosphere and surroundings of any resort I’ve been to so far - the nature and trees and multitude of wildlife around the grounds are so wonderful and a pleasure to experience! We have found our room to be very comfortable and nice. Favourite restaurant so far has been La Hacienda!! So so good. And I could go on and on about the amazing coffee at breakfast. All the staff we’ve had interactions with have been terrifically welcoming and friendly, and incredibly helpful and accommodating. Special mention for our Concierge Ingrid, in the Beach lobby! She has been very lovely, kind and helpful :) Also to Mauricio and Manuel at the concierge in Beach lobby, who have been so warm and friendly, always stopping to chat with my elderly parents and asking if there’s anything they can do for them. They are all such lovely, sweet people! I would recommend Paraíso Beach resort to anyone, and would definitely return.

It was my first time visiting Mexico, and I’m so glad I chose Iberostar as my hotel. The property is absolutely stunning—it’s huge, beautifully maintained, and has so much to offer. There was never a dull moment! The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The food was amazing, with a great variety of delicious options every day. There were so many fun activities throughout the resort that kept us entertained from morning until night. A very special thank you to Diego, who made all the activities so much fun with his energy and enthusiasm. He truly went above and beyond to make everyone feel included and ensured we had an unforgettable experience. Overall, we had the most incredible stay and made memories that will last a lifetime. I would highly recommend Iberostar to anyone visiting Mexico, and I can’t wait to come back!

Stayed for a week with my friends and we had so much fun! The resort was beautiful, the service was great and the food was good. We liked how kind they were to the animals on the lot and how many different types of animals you can see while exploring the grounds. We especially loved the shows! The entertainment team at this resort are the best! Would definitely come back :)

Overall, we had a very good stay at Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach and would return, especially for a large family/group trip. We traveled with a group of 23 people, which can be difficult to coordinate anywhere, but the resort handled it better than expected overall. The property is beautiful, very tropical, and one of the first things we noticed was all the wildlife. We saw coatis, peacocks, iguanas, flamingos, and more throughout the stay, which made the resort feel really unique. The grounds, pools, and public areas were all very clean and well maintained. Pool temperatures were great, there was plenty of shade, and surprisingly we never struggled too much to find chairs even with the beach being less crowded due to sargassum. The beach itself was beautiful with soft sand and would have been excellent for swimming if not for the seaweed conditions during our trip. Food overall was better than expected for an all-inclusive. The smokehouse and Italian restaurant were standouts, and the Japanese restaurant was excellent as well. We didn’t realize beforehand that it was hibachi-style seating, otherwise more of our group would have eaten there too. The buffet had a huge selection. As a picky eater, I was satisfied, though not blown away. My husband loved it. Breakfast especially had lots of options, and they will make fresh eggs/omelets to order if requested. The shopping mall area was honestly one of our favorite parts of the resort. The taco stand, café, ice cream/crêpe shop, carousel, kids play area, and artwork throughout made it a really enjoyable area to spend time. The chai frappé from the café was especially good. Staff overall were friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping did a great job, maintenance responded quickly when our toilet broke, and the resort worked hard to accommodate restaurant reservations for our large group. The biggest negative interaction we experienced was with the concierge area immediately after check-in. The “breakfast presentation” sales pitch was extremely pushy and they did not take no easily. A few other negatives: - The resort is large, so expect a lot of walking - Shuttle/golf cart communication was inconsistent - Many ice machines were broken during our stay - Nighttime entertainment and teen activities were lacking - The theater was extremely hot during shows - Foam party atmosphere felt more adults-only than family-friendly One thing worth mentioning for families: my 8-year-old became uncomfortable during the foam party due to overly sexual behavior from guests around the pool. We’ve attended foam parties at other resorts before and this one definitely felt less family-oriented than expected. The rooms themselves were comfortable and quiet. Beds and pillows were nice, AC was okay in our room but struggled more in some others in our group. One inconvenience was the lack of outlets near the beds in the family suites. Overall, despite some frustrations, we genuinely enjoyed our trip. If nightlife and beach conditions are your top priorities, this may not be the strongest fit depending on the season.
