We have just returned from this hotel after a short stay for the second time and really enjoyed our stay again. The location of the hotel is not on the beach/ocean side in the hotel zone but rather the lagoon side. It is a very short trip from the airport which is always a highlight for us for a shorter stay to prevent wasting any further travel time. Although the hotel is not beach front, it does have a free 5min shuttle that operates daily with a beach club available to all guests. There are pools, a phenomenal restaurant, a DJ and comfortable lounge chairs available. The food was decent but the highlight was most certainly the daily ceviche available and made fresh to order. We had this every day and were always very impressed with it. The other restaurants were pretty good for a resort but I would not want to be there for a week as the options were a little limited. The rooftop pool has the best view and the staff are wonderful at providing amazing drink service. The biggest downfall of the rooftop though is how quiet and boring it is. There is literally nothing going on at all which is not our style as we enjoy listening to music while we relax in the very least. Overall, it is a great hotel and we would return again for a short stay of 4-5 days but no longer.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Personally a 4.5/5, but absolutely deserving of 5 stars overall The Hyatt Vivid Grand Island exceeded our expectations and we had an amazing stay. I’d personally rate our experience 4.5/5, but I’m leaving 5 stars because the resort is new, improving quickly, and truly delivers on relaxation, great food, and a fun atmosphere. Pros — and there are many Great food — we enjoyed every meal, including the poolside options Beautiful rooms — spacious, clean, elegant, and incredibly comfortable Relaxing + spotless throughout the property Entertainment team is top tier — so much energy and genuinely great people Huge shoutout to Orlando, Rebecca, Caesar, Angelle (“Mexican Chocolate”) And Oliver at the pool — absolute best server and my new friend Special thanks to Juan at the front desk for being so helpful Recommended activities: Rebecca’s art classes Aqua aerobics The Vivid Challenge Mexican bingo is really fun, and the night shows are entertaining! Cons — small, but worth noting The app wasn’t working for us during our stay, so booking restaurant reservations became tricky and caused longer waits than expected. Vantage Club pool temperature — this was our biggest con. It’s a beautiful pool and part of a premium add-on, but it was freezing during our stay. Daybed availability feels limited around the resort. Unfortunately many guests leave belongings to “reserve” spots while they go elsewhere, which can make it tough for others to use them. Gym is small — I’d love to see more free weights and machines, though the space is limited so I understand why. Overall: We had a wonderful, relaxing trip with great food, great service, and genuinely fun entertainment. The resort is growing and improving, and with a few tweaks (mainly pool temperature + reservation system), it could easily be a perfect 5/5 experience. If you come knowing the vibe is relaxation + good energy, you’ll love it here. Would definitely return — can’t wait to see how it continues to evolve!

Fabulous stay with one small let-down We had a wonderful experience at the Hyatt All-Inclusive overall. The resort is beautiful, with excellent food and drink options and plenty of choice throughout the stay. The service was outstanding — every staff member we interacted with was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We really appreciated the hard work and kindness of the team, who made our stay special. The beach club was fantastic and quickly became one of our favourite spots — great atmosphere, food, and service. The only disappointment was New Year’s Eve. The entertainment felt very average, with fire dancers who had already performed earlier in the week and a basic dance floor setup. Given its NYE, we expected something a bit more exciting - a lot of guests we interacted with felt the same way. We were also surprised by the MXN $5,000 charge for poolside seating, which didn’t feel justified for what was offered. Aside from this, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the resort and would happily return. A fantastic stay overall, with just a missed opportunity to make NYE truly memorable.

We don’t do all inclusive often, but this was a great place to stay. Food is great compared to other all inclusive properties. Most food hit a 8/10 scale for our foodie scale. Property is not on the beach but has a great beach club that is 5min drive from the hotel which is included in your rate. Rumbia was our server and he was excellent. consistently checking in on us and remembering our name from the previous day. Overall would recommend. The only thing we will mention, is Mexico is gorgeous country, definitely support this all inclusive but also venture out to some more boutique hotels, it’s worth it!

Rating: ⭐⭐ (2/5) Review: Great Location, But Lacking in Service & Fun We recently stayed at Hyatt Vivid Grand Island and unfortunately, I can’t recommend it. While there were some positives, the overall experience fell short compared to other resorts we’ve visited. Here is the breakdown: Location (The Best Part) • Super Convenience: The location is great! It is only a 20-ish minute drive from the airport. After flying all day, it was a huge relief not to have a long drive to the hotel. The Room • Pros: The balcony had a great view, and the room was tech-friendly (TV has Chromecast, American channels, and plenty of USB ports/plugs). The bathroom setup was spacious with dual sinks and separate "his and hers" shower heads. • Cons: The bed was hard and there was no bathtub. Maintenance was an issue—the toilet seat in our room was loose. Also the ac can only go to a low of 70 degrees. Which made the room a little bit warm at times. • Missing Amenities: Unlike other resorts (like the Hyatt Zilara), there were no stocked snacks in the room. The fridge had Coke products, water, and Dos Equis, but the snack drawer is not something done here. Food & Drink • Inconsistent Quality: The restaurants were very hit-or-miss. One day a dish would be a 10/10, and the next day the same dish would look different, taste off, or be completely bland (missing salt/pepper). • Buffet: This was okay. The main items repeated often, but they occasionally had specials like sushi, lamb chops, or lobster (though these stations got busy quickly with lines). Desserts were the same daily. • Drinks: The drinks were generally good, especially the Piña Coladas, but waiter service was slow—we often waited a while just to have our drink order taken. Activities & Atmosphere • Very Low Energy: If you are looking for a fun resort where the staff takes care of you, this isn't it. The vibe was dull. • Boring Activities: Pool activities got old quick (aquabike, pool yoga, or running across floating mats). Other than virtual bingo, Lotería, and a flea market day, there wasn't much to do. • Entertainment: The evening shows were "sad"—the crowd wasn't excited, and the live music never really popped off. 👎 Service • Overall, we didn't feel welcomed or taken care of. The staff didn't seem excited to help, which really brought down the mood of the trip. Verdict: I would not recommend this resort. I would choose a different property for my next vacation.
