My wife and I just finished a seven day stay at the hyatt vivid grand island resort in cancun. The food and wait staff went above and beyond. Carlos the waiter from Oishio was wonderful. Evertho from the vantage bar is very knowledgeable with the cocktails he makes. He entertained us while making a smoked old fashioned from herbs and some other things from the bar. Helped us with our spanish and gave recommendation on our plans and where to eat. But our favorite was Mario from the rooftop pool. He really made our time at the pool enjoyable. His joking with everyone and ability to find something in common with everyone around him including the people he works with. Rare. Mario has recommendation on drinks and reminded us to get our sunscreen on. He even made sure our friends did not drink to much or drink anything they wouldn't like. Mario is a good reason to come back or go for the first time, just don't forget his name. So cheers for MARIO.

Absolutely the best resort I’ve ever been to. From the moment we arrived until the very last day, everything was simply perfect. The service, the food, the cleanliness, the vibe, the attention to detail… everything exceeded my expectations. A very special thank you to César from the entertainment team, he truly made our stay unforgettable. His energy, kindness, and incredible animation brought so much joy every single day. He made everyone feel welcome and made every activity fun and memorable. You can tell he loves what he does, and it shows! I would 100% recommend this resort and I will definitely be back.

Food: 1- big lines at eggs station during breakfast. 2- big lines at meats station during dinner. 3- empty food plates are not replenished on time at the buffet. 4- you’re required to reserve your dinner restaurant in the morning of every day; reservations open only at 9 am of the same day. Reservations links are often broken, and if they are not, and you happen to wait until as early as 9:30 am, all restaurants have already been booked and you’re left with no restaurant to have dinner at!! The restaurants size and the number of staff are not proportional to the large number of rooms and guests. Staff: 1- even though it is all inclusive, if you don’t tip, your server would probably have a chance of only 30% to get you what you’ve requested during dining. Servers can ignore your requests or tell you they don’t have them even though they do have them! 2- at busy times, if you don’t tip barmen, they will rudely prioritize drinks orders that came after yours, through their fellow serving waiters. Beach: 1- very nice water and beach, but too small compared to the hotel’s large number of rooms/guests. All the beach’s chaise longues and umbrellas get fully occupied by the time the first shuttle bus (of the second one, the latest) arrives to the beach club. If you miss that first shuttle bus, you have no beach spot till the end of the day! Rip off: 1- they allocate specific dining tables (with better view or more comfortable chairs) for an extra payment of around $50! 2- despite the beach’s tiny size, the front row of umbrellas and chaise longues is not for free; it is offered at an additional charge!

Hyatt Vivid Grand Island was amazing! The rooms and hotel were extremely clean and staff were super friendly and helpful! We upgraded to the vantage club with an amazing deal offered upon check in and it was so worth it. Upgrading to the infinity rooftop pool was a huge plus. Let me tell you, the waiter/bartender MARIO was AMAZING. So amazing me and my girlfriend went to the rooftop pool every single day we were there and stayed for hours at a time. Mario was always on top of it with drinks and food! He even got the kitchen to make my girlfriend some quesadillas which weren’t on the menu! The Hyatt Vivid Grand island was awesome but Mario truly made the stay 10 times better! The only negative thing I have to say about the hotel is we were promised a welcome amenity and even confirmed it with staff upon check in and they confirmed it yet we never received it. Also my last night there I requested the romantic package for the room (roses spread on the floor and bed and a sparkling beverage) and the request was received by the staff however they did not come by and set up the room. Kinda disappointed because I wanted to do something nice for my girlfriend on the last night of our anniversary trip.

We just got back from Hyatt Vivid Grand Island Cancun and we were blown away. The resort is absolutely stunning. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the food and the people. The food was outstanding — easily some of the best we’ve ever had at an all-inclusive. We found ourselves actually looking forward to every meal (which isn’t always the case at resorts). A huge shoutout to our poolside server, Jesús, who went above and beyond every single time. He was attentive, kind, and just made each drink special. And César from the E-Team deserves just as much credit — he brought energy and fun to every activity, but also was good at pushing guests to full potential during fitness classes. Between the food, the service, and the atmosphere, this resort exceeded our expectations.
