Hilton Cancun, An All-Inclusive Resort

During our stay at the Hilton Cancun Resort, we dined at Maxal, and our experience was made unforgettable thanks to Alejandra. From the moment we were seated, she welcomed us with a warm smile and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Alejandra was incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. She offered excellent recommendations and ensured that we enjoyed every part of our meal. Her genuine kindness and professionalism made us feel truly cared for — she’s a shining example of outstanding service. The food at Maxal was fantastic, but it was Alejandra’s exceptional hospitality that made the evening truly special. We left with full hearts (and stomachs!) and can’t wait to come back.

Incredible, genuine and charming staff made this experience exceed my expectations. Alexis and Guadalupe made for an incredible dining experience. They are both very charming and fun to talk to, we became regulars at "La Luce" resturant durring our stay because of the atmosphere they created for us. Jonathan and Karen were incredibly attentive and friendly, making our time at the beach front "Sunan" an experience we will never forget. Harman, Dafne and Diego greeted us with excitement and enthusiasm when we visited the "Vela" and we were so happy to dine with them each time we visited them. The new and exciting "Beach Club" was a wonderful experience that offered uniques cocktails and dining options, the best octopus I have ever had. This has been an incredible experience that i will be recommending to my family and friends. Thank you staff at the Hilton Cancun! We cant wait to come back and visit again!

The Hilton Cancun was a fairly new resort that was opened in 2021 during Covid. The layout of the room was pretty modern with plenty of living space, storage space, separated toilet and shower room. However the build quality was not that great as many things look a bit used given how new the resort is. We had a very excellent experience at their Maxal Mexico restaurant, La Luce Italian restaurant, and steakhouse. The servers were extremely professional and friendly. Maurice from Maxal did a great job serving us. The food was also crafted by good chef and was beyond our expectation from an all inclusive hotel. The location is also much closer to the airport than the hotel zone. But the caveat is that the front gate of the resort is very far away from the hotel entrance. The cobbled street makes the car ride very bumpy entering and exiting the resort.

Great customer service. Clean. Staff was very personable. Food was great. Best omelettes we ever had! We ate all 3 restaurants that required reservations and were extremely satisfied. The presentation of the food was first class. Marcelino was our server at Maxal and he was pleasant, extremely friendly, and kept our drinks coming. We reserved the Balinese beds for the pool and it was a great option to choose because we had canopy beds and seats in the water assigned to us all day with a designated waiter bringing us foods and drinks. The cheeseburger was deliciously gourmet and to die for! We will definitely return! The 4 out of 5 stars for the room was because of the bathroom/shower situation and lack of privacy. We worked around it but it could have been 5 stars with a completely private bathroom area.

Overall we had a lovely stay here from late October to early November 2025. For background info, we are a male couple in our 30s who have never visited Mexico before and were seeking a relaxing holiday to counter our Japan trip earlier in the year: we were not looking for much in terms of activities. We booked the trip via British Airways Holidays and stayed for 10 nights. We didn't purchase any extras during our stay and we stayed in a Sunset King Room. The resort is new and shows little sign of disrepair. It's well designed and has a nice feel to it (if a little corporate). It should be noted that this hotel is for corporate stays, conferences and holidays which didn't put us off as we were aware of that. The food and drink offering is very good and although the main buffet restaurant was closed for a large part of our stay, I actually think this worked in our favour by allowing us the option to use the Mexican and Italian restaurants which have a better feel than the main buffet. Our only issue during our stay was some poor service by some waiters in a couple of outlets. This was either because of bad attitudes or poor waiting standards (the waiter forgot which steak was which so told us "start eating them and you'll find out" or the waiter who rolled his eyes when I asked for a knife, then gave me two forks, then gave me knife but threw it down so hard it fell off the table). The concierge (Daniel) did check in with us about this and did listen to my complaints and I'm pleased to say we didn't experience any further issues of that nature. We aren't ones for resort entertainment wherever we go but the offering here was pretty good and appropriate for the hotel. We don't often revisit the same place twice but I would be happy to return.
