I am currently staying at this resort with my family to celebrate four birthdays—the main reason for this trip. While the resort has some positives—friendly staff, good food with plenty of variety, and spacious, clean rooms—my experience has been overshadowed by several serious issues. First, after an unfortunate incident where my niece and I became sick in our sleep, the hotel cleaned the room and removed the sheets, which I appreciated. However, I later received a call demanding £158 for the sheets. My issue isn’t paying for damages, but £158 for sheets is excessive, and we were never informed of this policy at check-in. No leaflets, no verbal explanation—just a room key. When I questioned the charge, I was told I would not be allowed to leave unless I paid, which is extremely stressful and unacceptable. Second, I had a bat in my room two nights in a row. The phone in my room didn’t work, and because my room is far from reception, my brother-in-law had to come to my room at 12:45 a.m.to get rid of the bat. This is not what I expect from a resort of this standard. Third, I paid £2,500 for a whirlpool in my room, and when I turned it on, dirty water came out. This was incredibly disappointing given the cost. Lastly, I feel like every minute, more charges are being added to my bill. I came here to enjoy my holiday, not to be stressed about unexpected costs. Not everyone is as wealthy as the hotel seems to assume, and this approach is not fair to guests. I truly wanted this to be a special trip, but these issues have made it difficult to relax and enjoy. Transparency about policies, proper maintenance, and better communication would go a long way in improving the guest experience

This resort was amazing. There was great food, great service, and amazing people. The servers were very friendly and efficient. The room was clean, the pools were also clean. There were many enjoyable things such as entertainment, the lazy river and shows at night. There were animals roaming around the resort like monkeys, lizards, iguanas, capybaras, cats and more other amazing animals. Our guide for the bike tour Cecilio Hernandez was a very hard worker, he showed us different cenotes, a beautiful botanical garden botanical garden, and more. Cecilio was a very funny guy and he made the experience more enjoyable.

We were here with our friends for one whole week and I can’t wait to be back already. We were allergic to a lot of stuff but all the chefs at all the restaurants we went to, made sure we were served tasty food and that suited us too. They were not even once hesitant to make our special requests every single day. The staff the house keeping the shuttle drivers everyone has been so friendly and engaging which truly made us feel like home. Would highly recommend going to Grand Sirenis for everyone who wants to relax enjoy and make the most of their holiday here in Mexico. Hope to be back soon… Special thanks to Chef Hector, Chef Jacob, Chef Alcandra, Jonathan and each and every staff member at Grand Sirenis.

We had such an amazing holiday from start to finish! 10 days definitely wasn’t long enough. There is not a thing we could possibly fault, the poolside entertainment staff (Gomez, Joy, Emily, Eric & Yoann) - apologises if I haven’t spelt the names right - but these team members have made our stay so incredible, they are an absolute credit to your resort. Also we love all animals, and having all types around the resort made us feel homely. We were also absolutely blown away by the Carnal restaurant, it was absolutely fantastic! Pool entertainment/exercise with Gonzo & Emily at Prana pool was top notch! They brought so much energy and positive vibes to the day! 😎 All staff at GS are friendly and go out of their way to help out. They did a lovely job incorporating jungle flora & fauna so that there is always lots of greenery around - not just concrete. You can snorkel right off the beach and lots of colourful fish and interesting coral in the small shallow lagoon. Even if you are just wading - lots of fish will swim around your feet. Smaller beach than some resorts and the bottom a bit rocky in in the shallows but that makes it more interesting to explore. No sargassum in early November. Lots of lovely spaces on the beach to relax, eat or enjoy a drink. The selection of food and beverages is amazing: beach grill, buffets, a la cartes, ice cream, sweets, smoothie/wellness bar and coffee shops. Great nightlife with shows, live entertainment, silent disco, etc. There is truly something here for everyone. We will be back!
