Five-Star Family Vacation Experience! Our family had the most amazing stay at this resort! The rooms were absolutely spotless, and the layout was perfect for traveling with kids. What We Loved: The Water Park & Pool: The kids' water park is incredible and kept them entertained for hours. The swim-up bar was a major highlight for the adults! The Food: The buffet offered excellent food with plenty of variety. Most of the reservation-only restaurants served outstanding meals (though we found the French restaurant to be just okay compared to how amazing the others were).The Entertainment: The nightly live shows and music were spectacular. They put on high-quality entertainment every single night that our whole family loved. Special Thanks to the Incredible Staff: The warm welcome we received from the staff truly made our trip unforgettable. We want to give a special shout-out to: Kids Club: Betty, Ale, Adri, Ruben, and Kinyi (the DJ)—thank you for keeping the kids so happy and engaged! A very nice all-inclusive resort. The rooms are good with comfortable beds and good amenities. Drinks in the refrigerators in the room are included with the booking and are refilled daily. The pools are good, not too crowded and offer a nice reprieve from the heat. There are also multiple bars with at least 3 swim up bars throughout the resort. There are a number of restaurants you can book into, otherwise you can eat at the main buffet which in located near the lobby which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with decent quality meals. There is also a well equipped Gym and Spa facilities alongside numerous bars, a free movie theatre and even a Disco which opens at 22:00 till the morning. The beach is okay, at the time we went it had a large amount of seaweed which impacted the enjoyment, and you cannot swim out too far due to an area being cordoned off for jet skis. Also people walk around trying to sell you various items and tours which can get quite annoying at times. However, it is not too crowded and the bars serve very good cocktails to be enjoyed by the water. Overall the Grand Riviera Princess is an excellent budget friendly choice for a quality get away in Yucatan. I highly recommend taking advantage of the unlimited drinks (including select alcohol and all cocktails) and try to arrive at a time when the seaweed is not too prevalent as this will make the beach that much more enjoyable. Also try to rent a car during your stay if you plan to visit the surrounding areas as the cabs can be expensive and the local town (Playa Del Carmen) is quite far away on foot.

Extremely Disappointing and Unsafe Hotel Experience DON’t Come at this hotel And we also pay $500 upgrades the room to family club swimming out is not worth it I am extremely disappointed with our stay at this hotel. The room facilities were in poor and unsafe condition. The glass railings were damaged and appeared unsafe, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel. On top of that, there were an unbelievable number of mosquitoes in the room, making it very uncomfortable to stay there. After we reported these issues, the managers arranged another room for us. However, the replacement room smelled extremely bad. We were told that this was the only room available at the time and that they would move us to another room the following day. Unfortunately, when the next day came, we were given the same room again. Despite the seriousness of the situation, the management did not seem to take our complaints seriously or make any meaningful effort to resolve the problems. The beach was another huge disappointment. The water looked nothing like the beautiful blue water shown in the hotel’s photos. Instead, the water was dark and dirty-looking, and there was a very unpleasant smell. The actual beach experience was completely different from what was advertised. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. Unsafe room conditions, excessive mosquitoes, a terrible-smelling replacement room, poor management response, and a disappointing beach made this stay absolutely not worth the money. I strongly recommend that management address these issues seriously, especially the safety concerns with the room facilities, instead of simply moving guests from one problematic room to another.

Amazing stay once again! The renovated rooms feel fresh, modern, and very comfortable. The food is consistently delicious with plenty of variety, and the service throughout the hotel is excellent. A special shoutout to Daniel at La Fleur—he truly made our dining experience even more enjoyable with his great service. Entertainment is fun and well-organized, and housekeeping keeps everything spotless every day. We’ve visited this hotel multiple times and it never disappoints. Looking forward to coming back again soon—highly recommend!

The beach was too murky with stinky seaweed which is not in the hands of the resort. The service of Lupita at the pool was wonderful. The service of Nicolas and Maria at the restaurant and buffet was very good. The omellete lady Dais made great eggs. The buffet always had good options and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious . The housekeeping was above par. The resort has wild life and fauna which makes it unique. The wine was terrible. We had to travel to downtown to buy good wine. This is one of reasons I give 2 stars. The Italian and Oriental Restaurants were too overrated so not so great. The Galarie was great. We ate there three times. The staff are kind and helpful. The resort and grounds are so well maintained. This was the cleanest resort we have ever experienced. Overall, the experience was good and the weather was favorable.
