Check-in was disappointing. There was no proper queue system—some guests lined up while others simply cut the queue, and the reception staff didn’t do anything to manage it. When we entered the room, there wasn’t even a simple welcome note, which is something I’ve received even at 4-star hotels. I emailed the hotel almost 3 weeks in advance requesting a high-floor room but didn’t get one at check-in. I requested again on the second day, and thankfully the hotel was able to move me to a higher floor, which I appreciated. I also requested a small birthday decoration and cake for my husband’s birthday. While they provided a cake and card, the card wished me a happy birthday instead of my husband. I’ve had much better attention to detail at hotels that cost less. The housekeeping staff were also very loud—we could hear vacuuming, doors banging, and staff talking loudly in the hallway. The curtains looked worn out, the TV only had basic channels, and the pillows were very uncomfortable. The highlights were the bathroom amenities, especially the shampoo, and the breakfast. The breakfast staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the dining experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, for the price, I expected a much better overall stay.

Great four night stay at Kuala Lumpur. The Grand Hyatt was superb in all terms, we really enjoyed our stay with this "up-side-down" hotel. What a breakfast, so many selectios with impeccable friendly service and what a view. One great breakfast attendants was discussing with us every morning regards yesterdays actions and todays plans. Everybody we talked were so friendly. Big pool area to relax the days efforts away.

I absolutely loved my week-long stay at the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur this past April! What an amazing experience from start to finish. The room was incredibly spacious, and I was really impressed with the generous bathroom area. Now, I should mention that the bathroom features glass walls that look into the main room – if you're sharing with a friend, this might feel a bit awkward at first! But here's the cool part: they have this smart privacy glass system that darkens automatically, so you can shower without any worries about visibility. Pretty neat technology! The dining was fantastic, I ordered room service one evening and also had lunch at their rooftop restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and the views from up there were stunning. The layout took a little getting used to. Having the lobby on an upper floor was initially confusing, and you do need to switch elevators to get down to street level. It's not a big deal once you figure it out, just something to keep in mind on your first day. The Lounge for Hyatt elite members was fantastic, had breakfast in there every morning and the staff was amazing, and with the wonderful views of the Petronas! The location is unbeatable, you're within walking distance of two major shopping centers, a lovely park, and the convention center. For the quality of service and the beautiful facilities, I thought the price was very reasonable.

Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur has a presence that you feel quite quickly, especially once you arrive at the main foyer. The grand staircase sets the tone, and it gives the place a sense of occasion right from the start. What I’ve always found memorable is the arrival experience at the top-floor lobby. Checking in there, combined with the dining spaces and views, creates a strong impression every time. The food is consistently good, and when you pair that with the skyline, it becomes one of those settings you actually look forward to returning to. I also have a more personal connection here. One of my close friends held her wedding and reception at the hotel, and I was involved in leading the event management. It is the kind of place that works well for those moments. The layout, atmosphere, and overall flow support both social and formal events quite naturally. The rooms feel comfortable and properly luxurious, though slightly more traditional in style compared to some of the newer hotels. If you think about it, it sits nicely between the familiarity of Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur and the sharper modern feel of Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur. 👉 If you’re exploring Kuala Lumpur as a place to live or invest, I share deeper KL living insights on my YouTube channel.

We booked a total of 3 rooms and stayed for four nights on the 28th floor to celebrate my mom's birthday. The staff did a great job at decorating the room for a surprise to my mom. It was a nice staycation for all of us, we indulged in the breakfast every morning along with lounge access. The rooms are all configured the same even though I requested for 3 adults per room, they just added an extra roller bed which is why we ended up with 3 rooms. The mattress quality is poor and this is the consensus from all 3 rooms, all 6 of us. The chaise was actually more comfortable to sleep on and that's what I ended up doing. Felt like the rooms are more geared for couples or honeymooners but the lack of insulation between bathroom/toilet from the "living" area means you can hear everything 😁 Other than that, the location is great, we had a few visitors and everyone loved taking pictures with the twin towers. We also utilized the sauna, even though the jacuzzi could need an upgrade in the ladies-it was too loud to hold any conversation but the sauna was nice. Pool was great with nice views. Overall a great value for us, everyone we encountered were very nice from front desk to lounge to housekeeping. Breakfast was definitely the highlight which we all enjoyed. Personally I was just loading up on the nasi lemak and roti canai/curry/idli/sambar and kombucha 😍
