I came for a family wedding. I paid $1829 for three nights, all inclusive (including payment for shuttle service - which took about an hour even though we had reserved in advance). At the resort gate, we waited about 10 minutes for the driver to read everyone's room number to the guard before admittance. When we checked in, we were told that we could walk in and dine at all the restaurants on the app, except for the hibachi, which required a reservation. This morning, five of us went to a restaurant, waited for 15 minutes after we gave them our room numbers, and were told it was a club and we couldn't dine there. This evening, we went to three different restaurants without any success: the first one was busy with a one hour wait, the second one was also busy, though it had tables but not enough chairs, the third one was closed. We went back to the first one and even though they had plenty of available tables, they were understaffed and the host said we needed to wait 30 minutes before they could sit us. My family left and went to eat at the buffet. My sister is the mother of the groom. They put her in a room right in front of the laundry service. I would not come back and don't recommend it. The facility is nice but for the price, you can enjoy a much better experience at many other resorts. I don't usually leave bad reviews but this experience is so below par for the price that I hope this helps others make an informed decision with their vacation experience.

The resort itself was awesome, my family enjoyed our time. The food was so disappointing. Hibachi was really good, but everything else was mediocre at best. We have been to Excellence Resorts many times in the past and the food was amazing. The food at Finest PM was simply not good. Meats were tough, over cooked, and tasteless. The buffet was not well maintained at the Market with many bowls empty on the line. This is not what I have been accustomed to with the Excellence Resort brand in the past. I’m not sure we will consider another vacation with this brand if this is the new norm. I am seeing tons of other reviews now talking about food quality. They will lose tons of business if this is not corrected, and fast.

Meh is how I would describe it. This hotel was not cheap, and for the price we paid, we have had much better experiences at other resorts. The hotel itself is fine overall, somewhat outdated but clean. The rooms are spacious; however, the bed sheets were uncomfortable, and I was genuinely excited to return home to my own bed. Drinks were fine, and both the beach and pool areas were decent. Service was fast and efficient, especially room service, which we appreciated. The biggest disappointment was the food. Overall, it was mediocre, and in some cases quite bad. We have had significantly better food at most resorts we’ve visited, especially in Mexico! The Italian restaurant was absolutely terrible, and the Brass was pretty bad as well. We stayed in the Excellence Club, and even Dommo, which is exclusive to the club, was underwhelming. We actually found ourselves looking forward to going home just to eat good food again. The only genuinely good dining experience was the teppanyaki at the Asian restaurant. Overall, we would not recommend this resort and would not return.

Really nice resort with a lot of great activities, definitely encourage people to check them out. Fernanda lead stretch classes that were great, trivia was really fun, and Alfonso from Tennis Clinic is one of the best tennis coaches I've ever met. He tailored the lessons to our skill levels, even college players in our group came out feeling like they learned a lot. All of the staff are very nice and go out of their way to help.

Had a great 6 night stay last September. We (group of 6) were all in swim-up suites while my wife & I were in the all adults excellence area. We all love the swim up suites especially our grand daughters (5 & 3 yo). Would rate overall food 4 stars & 5 stars on the French restaurant. Except for the most aggressive mosquitoes we had a blast more so when seeing the happy faces of our grand kids. I can only wish all inclusive resorts will consider a discounted rate for non drinkers. We have booked a return trip to Finest next September but will resort hop on 2 others so we can compare and experience the others.
