We are still enjoying this amazing hotel! Reading some of the reviews I was a bit concerned about the status of the rooms and facilities but luckily we haven’t encountered any issues! This is an amazing resort well maintained, we are in the tropical villa which is a lovely room, very spacious and has a huge comfortable bed. The pools are great with the beach just next to it. Breakfast is amazing with a huge variety of food and the staff are super nice and friendly. The location is also very good, on the main road but you don’t hear the noise yet a walking distance to the fishermen village. We love it! It’s a great choice!

The hotel has two sections: an old wing and a new wing. The rooms in the new section are beautiful and comfortable, while the old section is at a much lower standard. Breakfast starts closing even 5 minutes before the official end time, and the staff seem stressed and eager to shut everything down. This happened every morning and felt a bit unpleasant. Housekeeping did not clear the used dishes from our room — cutlery, glasses, plates, etc. In addition, they did not provide enough towels and at times did not leave toilet paper. One day, the room was only cleaned late in the afternoon. Overall, we stayed in a beachfront villa, so the room itself was amazing. However, the service experience is very much in line with a 4-star rating, or perhaps even less. The hotel restaurant is extremely expensive.

Mixed but enjoyable! The rooms are large and well kept. The service, while friendly, was painfully slow. We waited around half an hour for the pre-check in, then when we went back to finalise check in and pick up our room keys it took even longer. We were told to sit and wait while others checked in, with no queue management, so people who arrived later checked in before us. Quite frustrating, especially for a one night stay. The pools are very nice and the bar/restaurant has a lovely view and good cocktails with a reasonable happy hour. Pizza was a little unusual but nice enough! Breakfast spread was very good. The location is good. It’s on a very main road like many of the resorts in samui and so leaving the hotel wasn’t very pleasant. Inside the resort feels sufficiently insulated from the road though and the beachfront is beautiful.

The hotel itself is beautiful, with a great pool, excellent food, and very friendly, professional service. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The Premium Villa is comfortable, though it doesn’t offer any particular view. Unfortunately, there are two major downsides. The first was New Year’s Eve. The price was extremely high for what was offered. It included only food (which was very good) and very weak entertainment. No drinks were included at all — not even water or a glass of champagne. Everything had to be purchased separately, bringing the total cost to around 8,000 THB per person. For that price, expectations were much higher, especially since similar New Year’s events in other hotels were free for their guests. Many people left during the event, which says a lot. The second, and biggest issue, was the beach. There was a large amount of trash in the sand and floating in the water, making swimming impossible. What was most disappointing was seeing hotel staff sweeping the trash back into the sea instead of collecting it. This is especially troubling when hotels promote sustainability by limiting towel and linen changes, yet allow pollution on their own beachfront. Overall, if you are not visiting during New Year’s Eve or other special events and mainly plan to relax by the pool, the hotel can be a good choice.

Good service, nice staff and nice location. Like others mentioned the hotel is split in two areas, the ‘modern’ part and the ‘tropical’ part. We specifically chose the tropical part (older) with a nice garden villa/room. The rooms as well as the property were well maintained. I can’t really recognize any of the ‘bad’ reviews; the breakfast staff always made sure the buffer was replenished, housekeeping always did the room (as wel indicated by hanging a sign to clean when we leave) or waved at the cleaning lady as we were heading out. The grounds were well maintained daily by several gardeners. The beachbeds on the beach were renewed. Overall its a question of price quality. We wanted to be ‘on’ the water in a nice stand alone ‘villa’; this comes at a premium. But still nowhere as ‘premium’ as the hotels nearby charge.
