Barceló Maya Palace completely exceeded our expectations and changed our perception of what an all-inclusive vacation can be. The property is beautiful and incredibly well maintained. The rooms were big, clean, and comfortable, and the staff consistently provided friendly and attentive service throughout our stay. Every interaction we had left us feeling welcomed and appreciated. The food was a major pleasant surprise. We expected typical resort food, but many of the meals were genuinely excellent. One of our favorite perks was having included room service with the Premium Room upgrade, which was a game changer. Being able to order food to the room whenever we wanted added a level of convenience that made the trip even better. One of the kids said it was their favorite thing about our stay. There was no shortage of things to do. Between the pools, beach, wildlife around the property, activities, and entertainment, our family was never bored. One of our favorite things was the Flowrider surf machine. We paid for the 1hr private lesson and went from beginners to feeling confident, and can't wait to come back and shred it some more. It’s rare to leave a vacation feeling like the experience lived up to the marketing photos, but Barceló Maya Palace actually exceeded what was in the photos on the website. We had such a great time that we’re already talking about coming back. Highly recommended for those who want good food, and good vibes.

This was our 4th time staying at Barceló Maya Palace, and once again it was an excellent experience! The resort is beautiful, the food is great, and the service keeps us coming back year after year. A special shout-out to Deisy Cocom, Modesto, and Alfredo at Bar Cielo. This adults-only pool area is amazing, and they truly take care of you and make you feel welcome every day. We also want to recognize Mauricio Gomez and Emilio Arcos at the Hacienda Buffet for their outstanding service, as well as Oscar and his helper at Rodizio Brazilian Restaurant. They were excellent and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Our only complaint was during check-in. The señorita who assisted us did not explain that if the towel cards were not returned, there would be a charge. Better communication about this policy would help avoid surprises for guests. Overall, we had another wonderful vacation and look forward to returning again!

We are on our 10th day of a 10 day trip and our last meal is in the brasserie French restaurant. We’ve eaten here four times as it is our favorite. We want to give a shout out to our servers Carlos Yah and Reyi Campos who are so friendly and attentive, as well as the hostess Diana Merinero at the front door, who is always so welcoming. You must try the pistachio ravioli and the Lobster cappuccino soup at the Brasserie. We also love the lamb chops and the salmon. Congrats to chef Luis Mendoza for doing such a great job in the kitchen. We got him to come out and give us his recipe for the pistachio ravioli. On the whole, our stay here has been wonderful. We look forward to returning. We’ve been to many resorts in Mexico in the Caribbean and this is one of our favourites. We also recommend renting a cabana at the adult only pool. It’s calm, relaxing and beautiful. Last thing, we must say that the servers at the breakfast and lunch buffet, as well as the managers have all been so accommodating and lovely. They really do things right here at the Barcello Maya Palace!

We had such a wonderful stay here at Barcelo Hotel Buffet Mirador with our family! The resort was beautiful, clean, and so relaxing. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and they made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. Especially Rosa Mendoza and Natanaeal Soto at the buffet. Everything was well maintained, the atmosphere was peaceful, and there was plenty for our family to enjoy together. It truly felt like a perfect little getaway. We made such great memories here and would definitely love to come back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and family-friendly resort!

This review is Not about the employees that work hard in the restaurants, like the Buffet Mirador. This review is about the policies that upper leadership put in place that prevent these hard working employees from making simple decisions that can alter a vacationer’s experience significantly. For example, we are a family of 6. We were told we could not combine tables on the outside patio, even though no one else was outside eating in the heat! Multiple staff said no, that they needed to contact their manager. Then, when we went to get pool towels and we were told we could only have 1! To top it all off - unfortunately there is a severe seaweed problem and the beach is uninhabitable and smells. So sad because we actually wouldn’t have come here if we couldn’t swim in the ocean. Which made all of the “no’s” even more frustrating. The check in process is painfully long and ridiculous - always has been - even with being a premium member. And they don’t recognize that this is our 6 Barcelo stay. When we went to complain the second day regarding these issues and were told they needed to talk to their management. And then at dinner on the third night, all of the managers starting approaching us and we felt they were blaming the wonderful and super friendly manager, Natanahel Soto, for all of these troubles . Absolutely not! There are some key people that made our experience the best! They are Baltazar Zaragoza, Gustavo Dzul (who has taken care of us in the past as well) and of course - Natanahel Soto!! At the end of the day, what we feel is that when a vacationer comes in, please find ways to say yes. We had a wonderful time because this was our 5th time here and this vacation was to celebrate our children graduating from college, our 30th wedding anniversary and we brought their girlfriend and boyfriend to celebrate! The shows are great, painting pottery was perfect, the food is always delicious, the banana boat ride was fun, catamaran ride (Carlos) and the spa was very relaxing! We loved shopping at the Mexican Market and Maya Mall. Thank you Riviera Maya for the memories. I will cherish you forever.
