I’ve stayed at Bali Tropic Resort & Spa four times now, and it honestly keeps getting better every time. The staff are some of the kindest and most welcoming people I’ve ever met. From the moment you arrive, you feel genuinely taken care of — not in a formal or distant way, but in a warm, personal, almost familiar way. They are always friendly, attentive, and go out of their way to help with anything you need. It really feels like nothing is ever too much. The whole place is spotless. Cleanliness is clearly a huge priority here, and it shows everywhere — rooms, common areas, pool, everything is perfectly maintained. You can fully relax because everything just works and feels well taken care of. What really makes it stand out is also the atmosphere. It’s calm and relaxing during the day, but there’s also this really cool energy at night. The rooftop club is on another level — great music, amazing vibe, and a really nice place to spend the evening. It adds something special you don’t usually get at a resort like this. After four stays, I can honestly say there’s been nothing to complain about. Everything feels smooth, comfortable, and consistently high quality. You arrive, switch off, and just enjoy — exactly how a vacation should be. Definitely a place I keep coming back to without hesitation.

We stayed at Bali Tropic Resort for the second half of our honeymoon. Thankfully, our first hotel in Ubud had completely exceeded our expectations, because unfortunately this stay was a bit disappointing. While the resort is set on a beautiful beachfront and has lovely tropical gardens, the hotel itself feels quite dated. We also found the food in the main restaurants to be below average, the gym was a real disappointment with outdated equipment and poor maintenance, and overall the resort didn’t live up to what we had expected from the photos and reviews. One area that absolutely deserves praise, however, is the spa it was a 10/10. The treatments, atmosphere, and therapists were exceptional, and it was easily one of the highlights of our stay.The resort itself is very large and offers plenty of facilities and activities. However, the biggest issue was communication. When we checked in, we were simply handed our room key and escorted to our room by a lovely staff member. At no point did anyone explain the resort, its amenities, or the daily activities available. It wasn’t until I tried to rent a bicycle one evening and was told rentals had already closed that I discovered there is a daily activity schedule with many complimentary and paid experiences. Midway through our stay, we also found out there is a free shuttle to Bali Collection. Until then, we had been paying for Grab taxis every day because no one had mentioned this service. We had booked a Club Room, and surprisingly, no one explained the benefits that came with it. We had breakfast at the main buffet on our first morning and honestly struggled to find much that appealed to us. It was also extremely busy and noisy. Later, after reading online reviews from other guests, I discovered that Club Room guests have access to breakfast on the rooftop, afternoon tea at 5 p.m., and the rooftop pool. Once we found this out ourselves, our experience improved dramatically. It was quieter, more relaxing, and much more enjoyable. These are wonderful benefits, but guests shouldn’t have to discover them by reading internet reviews after they’ve already checked in.I want to make it very clear that this is not a criticism of the staff. Every staff member we encountered was hardworking, kind, and eager to help whenever we asked. Our criticism is directed at management and the check-in process. A simple five-minute explanation of the resort, its facilities, the activity schedule, shuttle service, and Club Room privileges would have completely changed our experience. Since this was our honeymoon, it also would have been lovely if it had been acknowledged in some small way. Even a simple “Congratulations” or a handwritten note would have made us feel special. Instead, it felt like just another reservation. The true highlight of our stay was the rooftop Club Lounge team. Every single person working there from the chefs to the bartenders and waitstaff was exceptional. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine kindness made us look forward to every breakfast and evening visit. They consistently went above and beyond, and they are the reason we left with positive memories of the resort. We appreciated them so much that we tipped each of them 100,000 IDR every day because they truly deserved it.Bali Tropic Resort has so much potential. The property is beautiful, and the staff are wonderful. With better communication during check-in, improvements to the dining experience and facilities, and a little more attention to guest experience especially for special occasions like honeymoons this resort could be outstanding. I genuinely hope management takes this feedback on board because the people working there deserve it.

After just a few hours at Kubu Indah, you'll feel a new sense of energy building within you. A beautiful resort featuring an amazing spa, private villas, charming bungalows, a professional diving center, and a beachfront bar that looks as if it has been lifted straight from a tropical paradise. Wake up to stunning ocean views and experience one of the most breathtaking sunrises you can imagine. At Kubu Indah, the outside world simply fades away.

The hotel setting itself is beautiful, the gardens are gorgeous however bear in mind it is old and the basic rooms are basic. We booked a 'Club Room' and paid the extra for it because of the privileges that come with that. The club rooms are located in a new wing which has 3 floors of new hotel rooms, they are not inn the old style like you may expect from this style of hotel. They are very nice indeed although the bathtub and shower are in the room and the toilet is just a separate glassed off area next to the bath and shower and the vanity is in the main room. We don't really like this kind of setup as we are older and like some privacy. There is a lil porch area on the lower floor and balconies on the upper floors. We had an idea there was a separate pool for the club rooms and asked a staff member in the grounds who told us there isn't another pool. We went to breakfast in the main breakfast area and met some people who asked what we got for the extra we paid for the club room. We said 'nothing', they said but you have a rooftop pool and restaurant? We then went adventuring and found on the 6th floor a beautiful infinity pool and restaurant above the club rooms. The staff told us they have breakfast there for club room members but hardly anyone comes for breakfast (that's because there's no way of finding out about it). We were very disappointed to say the least. We complained to the manager as there was no sign about the pool, absolutely no information in the room to say breakfast was upstairs and that it needed to be ordered the day before. We were only there for one night so didn't get the benefit from the club room we paid for. As we spoke to the Manager, we were having a pizza and indicated that The location is good, just away from the Bali Collection, a short taxi ride away. The path along the beach is fabulous for walking without traffic and bikes etc.Sadly the staff are not educated about the amenities of the hotel, especially the Club rooms but the Manager said they will implement this going forward.

Bali Tropical Resort was perfect. The moment we arrived we relaxed, we had interconnected rooms with our teenagers and the rooms were spacious enough for them to chill out in. The grounds are superb, lush and maintained to perfection. Pool areas both with bars! Food was great and a nice selection for all meals. The highlight is the staff! So friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back!!
