The Alantara Sanur

We recently stayed at The Alantara Sanur and had a lovely experience overall. Our first impressions were great, the hotel is beautifully presented, well maintained, and has a peaceful feel. It’s located slightly away from the main area of Sanur, with around a 15-minute walk to the beach. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service every two hours to and from Sanur Supermarket until 9 pm, which made getting around very convenient. The standout feature of our stay was undoubtedly the staff. From the warm welcome on arrival to the exceptional service throughout our stay, every staff member was genuinely friendly, happy, and incredibly helpful. Their hospitality made a real difference, and we’d like to say a big thank you to the entire team. Breakfast was included during our stay, buffet style with plenty of variety. Fresh juices, barista coffee, fresh fruits and pastries available with changes each day. Daily afternoon tea was included with our booking, however we were out during these times so did not experience this during our stay. The pool is a great size with plenty of space to relax, and having a pool bar is a fantastic addition. There were enough sun loungers around the pool, so it never felt overcrowded. One small suggestion would be for staff to remove towels left on loungers when guests leave for extended periods. During our stay, two couples reserved loungers with towels before heading out for the day, which was disappointing for other guests wanting to use them. We stayed in a twin room, which was a comfortable size with a generous balcony. The room had everything we needed. One improvement could be adding frosted glass to the shower door, similar to the toilet door, to provide a little more privacy. The spa had several special offers available during our stay. We booked a massage, which was relaxing and well worth it. The hotel also has a small number of bicycles available for guests to use, although we didn’t get the chance to try them this visit. Wi-Fi was reliable throughout the property, with a strong connection and no issues during our stay. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Alantara Sanur. The exceptional staff, relaxing atmosphere, and thoughtful facilities made it a memorable experience, and we would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in Sanur.

This hotel was perfect for our family, so much so we changed plans to come back for a few nights at the end of our trip. We stayed in both the 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom villas, our family stayed in the rooms of the main building. Villas were expectional and rooms great for couples. Breakfast was varied, pool food good, evening buffet for the Barong dancing was great (if you like spicy)! Pool was fab and lots of shade which was great. No shortage of sunbeds. Again, really must shout out the friendliest staff who were gorgeous in every way!

This was our first hotel after arrival in Bali with our baby, we could not have wished for a better place! The hotel is incredibly beautiful, green and spacious, and all the staff were so friendly and nice! The food was also great, a good menu and a lot of breakfast options. This has been such a great start to our holiday, we directly booked it again for the end of our trip. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at The Alantara Sanur. The resort is beautiful, the rooms are spacious, and the grounds are kept incredibly clean. Our room was stunning, especially the gorgeous bathroom and bath. What made the stay truly special was the staff. By the time we left, they felt like lifelong friends. The service was incredible, and every person we met was genuinely warm, kind and welcoming. Our only disappointment was the way the resort handled bedding for guests who had recently received tattoos. We were charged for our sheets because of a small stain. At other resorts in Bali, staff had gone out of their way to provide protective or special sheets for guests with fresh tattoos. Given how popular the Bali tattoo experience is, this would be a thoughtful service for The Alantara to consider. Apart from that one issue, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this beautiful resort. The people, rooms, service and surroundings made it a very special place to stay.

This resort is a hidden gem! We absolutely loved everything about it. The room was amazing! We had a villa with a pool and a solid stone bath. It’s tastefully decorated in a classic Bali style. We’ve previously stayed at the Grand Hyatt and Sofitel in Bali and this room was just as good as both of those. If not better?! The staff made it their business to get to know all of our party’s names and really went above and beyond to cater for our every need. The resort is not hugely big so it feels a bit quieter and we loved that too. We stayed there with a child too and she loved it! If there was a downside, it’s that you are not right amongst the busy area of Sanur by the beach or the main road for restaurants so you do need to catch a taxi out. Not that this was a huge problem, taxis only cost about $2!! Thanks to all the staff at the Alantara we had a great holiday! 🇮🇩🩷
