This was a return visit for us to this beautiful hotel. The whole hotel and grounds are immaculately kept. We stayed in a standard room (all inclusive) which was spacious, modern and well equiped. Our room faced the Beunavista hotel and did have a partial sea view. However if you want sun in your balcony, I suggest you upgrade. I did note that the wifi has been improved and there are more English speaking tv channels since our last visit. The mini bar is restocked every day, so we always had plenty of bottled water. Overall the staff are very friendly and attentive. The staff at the pool side buffet and the Coloquio piano bar were particularly good. We did have several small service issues but I am pleased to say I received a very positive and professional response from management. The food in my opinion is of a high standard and well presented. The Verona, Italian restaurant was excellent with terrific service. Overall we had a very pleasant, restful stay at the Roca and I am sure we will return.

Hotel is very nice, room was excellent. Seperate bathroom, shower and tub, dual sinks. Fantastic view with upper sea view room. Spacious and clean. Gym is decent but has a strong smell of plastic and no ventilation. Pools are nice but all seem to be overrun with children. Somehow allowed to kick balls, throw toys and have inflatables. Also jumping/diving despite signs suggesting this was not allowed. All this during the life guard hours. One life guard did tell a mother her child couldn't kick a ball around. Which makes sense there are other guests trying to relax in sun chairs and don't really want a ball hitting them. Seems reasonable. Essentially families were acting as if they were in their own backyard pool. Most of the guests were families with 2-3 children or newborns. So expect a lot of noise, crying etc. Even the hot tub style pool was overrun by small children playing/diving into it. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for a couples vacation or for retirees who would like a quiet relaxing holiday. To our surprise half board (which includes breakfast and dinner) did not include any beverages at dinner, not even water. We found this quite odd. I can understand denying alcohol at dinner but to not even offer water doesn't seem 5 star. The food was also very disappointing and the worst out of all our "all inclusive" experiences so far. Breakfast was underwhelming, tasteless scrambled eggs, although the pancakes were ok, (if you are looking for the maple syrup it isn't next to the pancakes) good luck finding it. Oddly no fresh orange for a 5 star hotel also. The orange juice seemed pasteurized and watered down. Odd organization, despite having a "vegan corner" more like a vegan nook. This tiny spot offered a tiny plate of some vegan option, not a meal by any means. An appetizer. Along with a glass of some piureed concoction that was oddly horrible each day. You will need to hunt for the other vegetarian options, for some reason they are spread all over in different areas. Why not just have an island for vegetarians? Also parents holding their toddlers allowing them to serve themselves should not be allowed, we witnessed a child pick up a piece of cheese with her bare hands then mom put it back on the tray for the next unsuspecting hotel guest. Pretty gross. They should have a seperate area for families or at least give printed menus and allow only children over a certain age to serve themselves. I will say the selection of fresh fruits was adequate and although the food was not good the desserts were usually delicious with a nice variety. The surrounding area is very nice but the beach is a very tiny black sand rocky area that you probably won't want to sit at. There are no chairs either it seems to be public. Along the water is a nice walkway that makes for a nice walk. There are a few restaurants and supermarket directly in front of the hotel. A small shopping mall approx 15 minutes away. I wish when we arrived we were informed about the free hotel shuttle to the other hotel near the more populated beach. Lots of shops and places to eat. We found out towards the end of our trip asking about places to see in the area. Overall it's a lovely hotel but I absolutely do not recommend for couples, also you may want to skip all inclusive and eat elsewhere as the food is not very good. Maybe try the other Adrian hotels as it seems they have an adults only option, maybe the food is better there as well. P.s. If you insist on visiting as a couple make sure to bring noise cancelling headphones to the pool.

A beautiful five-star hotel with an amazing pool area and stunning ocean views. We stayed at this hotel for two nights and truly enjoyed our time there. One of the highlights was the enormous heated saltwater pool. The entire pool area feels very cozy and thoughtfully designed, with beautiful details like palm trees everywhere and a bar directly by the pool, which creates a fantastic and relaxing atmosphere. Our premium room with an ocean view was absolutely wonderful. Waking up to the view of the sea made the stay even more special and added to the overall luxury experience of the hotel. The only aspect that could be improved was the dinner service on the first evening. At the grill station there was only one chef preparing fresh fish, and she was clearly overwhelmed by the number of guests. A long line quickly formed and many people eventually gave up waiting. We personally waited around 15–20 minutes just to get grilled fish. For such a large five-star hotel, this kind of kitchen management is unfortunately not ideal and could certainly be organized more efficiently.

Beautiful hotel, looks over the sea, there is a walkway all the way around the hotel and the other hotel next door. The staff are very friendly and helpful if you have a problem. The hotel is very clean and well designed to getting around loads of lifts. The food has a lot of variety each night is a different themes. The room was good and loved the walk in wardrobe, very spacious we had a lovely view of the sea from our balcony, we were on the 6th floor plus there were 2 sun loughes and table and chairs very good suntrap. The bus service is regular to different parts of the island, the stop is bear the hotel.

This is a great hotel if you have kids. Lots for them to do at all ages and a fabulous kids club if you crave some peace. However it is not without fault so be advised: 1) We booked a suite which was spacious but dated 2) All inclusive is questionable if worth the extra cost. House wine is the only included wine and it's awful. I assume this is deliberate so that you pay extra for more drinkable bottles 3) You can't eat lunch at the poolside restaurant unless you pay extra which is just plain weird 4) The spa is dated 5) Overall the food is ok but at the end of the day it's a buffet so it is what it is and at peak times it can be a bit of a circus 6) There is very little around the hotel so don't expect to find nice bars and restaurants which means you'll spend most of your time in the hotel itself
