Hotel is incredibly clean and very comfortable. No insects or litter to be seen. Rooms are air conditioned and modern with dressing gowns, slippers and lovely boxes of goodies for children. Pool is ideal for young children as there are many shallow areas as well as a separate splash park. It isn’t heated so may be cooler at the start of the season. The sandy beach is next door to the hotel so it’s easily accessible and you can pop back to the hotel if you forget something. Staff very helpful and generous - the only disappointment was noticing that a lifeguard sat on his phone for much of his shift. The hotel has entertainment and music at certain times so consider this if it’s not your thing (it’s not ours but as it’s usually less than 30 mins it wasn’t intrusive). Food was very varied and reasonable quality. We visited at the end of October with young children and the weather was perfect for beach and pool days at over 25 degrees each day. The area around the hotel is ‘lively’ and a mix of young people visiting bars as well as retirees on mobility scooters. The town is quite tired and scruffy. There’s nothing in particular to see or do, so don’t visit if you want more than sunbathing and swimming from a holiday.

I had a great stay at the Mediterranean Palace! The hotel itself is excellent. The location is nice right near the beach, and the facilities are kept clean. I was also impressed by the extensive breakfast buffet, which had a large variety of options, including a great selection of desserts. However, the main reason for this 5-star review is the exceptional service I received, particularly from Paul in housekeeping (the gentleman with short curly hair). He was extremely friendly and incredibly thoughtful throughout my stay. It is rare to find someone so genuinely considerate and attentive to the small details that make a guest feel welcome. A great hotel with wonderful amenities, but staff members like Paul are what truly make the experience special.

This hotel is marketed as 5★, but the reality falls well short of that standard. On arrival there was no help with luggage, no welcome, and no welcome drink – which you would expect as a basic courtesy at this level. First impressions matter, and this one was poor. The weather during our stay was atrocious, which is obviously not the hotel’s fault. However, when you’re stuck indoors, you quickly notice the shortcomings. The only place to get a drink is a dark, basement bar that feels like a dungeon – hardly relaxing or inviting, and certainly not what you expect from a luxury resort. What makes this worse is that there is no entertainment anywhere in the hotel. No live music, no evening shows, nothing to create any atmosphere at all. For a resort of this size and supposed rating, the hotel feels lifeless once the sun goes down. The real kicker, though, is the gym. After spending a lot of money, being told you cannot use the gym unless you pay extra is frankly unacceptable for a so-called 5★ hotel. This should be included as standard, or at the very least made crystal clear before booking. To make matters worse, management and guest services were completely unhelpful when raising concerns. No ownership, no attempt to resolve issues, and no sense that guest experience actually matters. Overall, this hotel is overpriced, underwhelming, and nowhere near 5★ quality. We will never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone expecting a premium experience.

The audacity this place has calling itself a 5-star hotel. It has to have been the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The food was absolute muck in the breakfast buffet, omelette was rubber, poached eggs so undercooked, pastries all stale, and the overall ambience felt more like a nursing home than a luxury hotel, with plastic chairs used in the dining area. Although the hotel advertises a gym and spa, access is not included. Guests are required to pay €20 per week to use the on-site gym, while the so-called spa is located in a sister hotel and costs an additional €17 per visit to use the sauna. This is highly misleading for a hotel claiming five-star status. Upon arrival, we were provided with two small bottles of water and two tea bags in the room (along with plastic cups…). Over the course of our 10-day stay, these amenities were not replenished once. The rooms were extremely small with very limited storage, forcing us to live out of our suitcases for the duration of our stay. The bathroom in my parents room stank of sewage and they got moved. Staff were consistently rude and unhelpful. I would specifically like to mention a receptionist named Cedro, who shouted at me when I politely asked where I could obtain drinking water early one morning. The swimming pool was unbearably cold; none of my family were able to use it even once during our stay. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location, which is excellent. However, guests should be aware that if staying in a front-facing room, loud music from the Golden Mile can be heard until the early hours of the morning. Overall, this hotel falls far below any reasonable five-star standard, and I would strongly advise prospective guests to look elsewhere.

We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. We especially loved the kid-friendly environment and the lovely staff. The location is great — right between a shopping area and a beautiful beach — so we had everything we needed within easy reach. The bistro offered a wide variety of food, and the quality was very good as well. Overall, a wonderful experience for families.
