Pros: The view and location. The area where the Hotel is right on the ocean and gives amazing views including sunset (sunrise will be behind you in most rooms). The buggy service is convenient and quick. Cons: The room quality does not feel 5 star status. The bathroom orientation with the toilet out with no privacy is weird, tile is cracked and the lighting was terrible. When we arrived the minibar was completely empty and it took 2 phone calls and a few hours to even get it restocked. Bed also did not feel 5 star and the sheets were hard and scratchy. Service overall felt lazy and forced when needed. Middle ground: Pools were ok, not the highest of quality feeling but had a great view, just dated. Restaurants are pretty good (Prego had the best service. Overall: This hotel is meant for the views and it has them by a landslide (its on a cliff near the gulf so that could be a possible view). However, it doesnt give the 5 star quality feel.

The hotel and staff are great but we had an issue with our room which had a semi private pool. I requested no kids beside our room and we had kids next door who were screaming and splashing in our pool so we couldn't use it. We had no choice but to pay a substantial fee to upgrade to a private villa so we could get a relaxing vacation. We shouldn't have had to pay for this as I was assured no kids would be beside the room I booked and didn't realize they could see into my room from the pool. I have kids and I don't blame the kids for being kids but sometimes we all need a break and that's what this romantic vacation was intended for. Also I was told breakfast was included but I was still charged. Beautiful resort but would only go back if I get credited for unexpected expenses

Stayed for a week with my family. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Rooms were spacious and the private pools were nice, though furniture were a bit dated and the outlets didn’t work very well. The hotel’s restaurants are pretty good and there’s a good selection of items for the hotel breakfast buffet. The location is a bit secluded but there is a taxi stand on the grounds and Grab is convenient to use. All in all a pleasant experience.

The views here are honestly among the best I’ve ever seen, and having a private beach is a huge plus. The swimming pools were also excellent and not crowded at all. That said, while the resort is beautiful on paper, it feels outdated and out of fashion. The common areas, restaurants, and rooms clearly need a major renovation (some of the restaurant colors/decoration are… truly questionable). I stayed in an Ocean View Suite: very spacious, great terrace/vibe, but definitely old. The private beach is a wow, but the water was highly disappointing. Service was below expectations for a Westin: I was surprised by how hard it was to communicate in English, even though the place felt very American/resort-style with lots of US guests. Most of the time it was impossible to have a full conversation with some of the staff members. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Also, the three restaurants were not up to the level of the resort, except maybe EEST, which was solid. The other two were honestly poor.
