Superbly located on the western coast of the island, The Surin is a wonderful choice for anyone looking to stay in close proximity to those postcard-perfect beaches you’ve seen in all the Thailand photos. Alternatively, Laguna Phuket golf club is approximately 15-minutes’ drive away, while a fun day out at Splash Jungle waterpark is about 35 minutes away from the hotel.

We stayed at The Surin from June 5 to June 8, and it was honestly one of the highlights of our whole trip to Phuket. The location is amazing. The beach here has some of the softest sand we’ve ever walked on, and waking up to that view every morning just set the best mood for the day. The service throughout the resort was top-notch. Everyone was friendly, professional, and well trained. A special shoutout to the breakfast supervisor—she was so attentive and responsible every single morning. Seeing her warm smile really made our day feel extra welcoming. We did run into a minor issue during check-out, but the team handled it so professionally and sorted it out right away, which actually left us with an even better impression. The property and facilities are also super well maintained. For what it offers, we think The Surin is easily one of the best values on the island. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip to Phuket, and couldn't recommend it enough if you're looking for a relaxing beach getaway.

My wife and I had the most amazing time at the Surin Phuket. Everything from the room to the food to the service was impressive and impeccable. Although the location is relatively remote compared to all the other things in Phuket, after going to experience all those things it makes you appreciate the serenity that the hotel offers. They make you feel at home and comfortable at the place. The stairs to everywhere can be a little debilitating, but I think everything else more than makes up for that. Shout outs to some specific personnel: we really want to thank Andrew Pape, the Executive Assistant Manager, who consistently went out out of his way to check on us almost every day we were at the hotel, have great conversations, and was super accommodating to help with any issues we had. We also really want to thank Meen Lim, one of the staff who went above and beyond to help get things for us for my wife’s birthday, and was super personable and invested in us our entire stay. Because of them and the work of the entire staff, we would recommend this place to anybody who wants a relaxing luxury experience.

Updated review April 2026: Returned here for the second time in nine months and have a few areas of improvement for management: the pool should have some sort of chiller installed. While the black tile is beautiful, during the hottest month of the year, it warms the pool to an uncomfortable level - it’s as warm as a bath and warmer than the ocean. When it’s this warm outside, you want a cool, refreshing pool - not a warm bath. I’d recommend offering complimentary sunscreen like most other hotels at this price point. B$700 for sunscreen is a bit of a joke. Finally, there were several upgraded rooms available when we checked in for our two night stay. For repeat guests, offering any sort of complimentary upgrade should just be a courtesy extended to those that choose to return to you. There’s many great choices here and since you don’t belong to any loyalty program, any gesture would be kind and appreciated. I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Surin Phuket, and it was truly a memorable experience. The hotel offers a perfect blend of luxury and natural beauty. The Highlights: Rooms & Drinks The rooms were absolutely perfect – beautifully designed, clean, and very comfortable. Another standout feature was the beverage program; the cocktails were exceptional, and they offered a great selection of high-quality beer, which added to the overall enjoyment of our stay. Areas for Improvement While our stay was mostly excellent, there are a few minor things to keep in mind: Accessibility: The resort is built on a slope, which means there are many stairs. This wasn't an issue for us, but it might be challenging for guests with mobility concerns. Dining Variety: While the quality of the food was good, I would have appreciated a bit more variety in the menu options to keep things interesting during a longer stay. Water Supply: One small detail was the limited amount of drinking water provided in the room. I wasn't quite sure where to procure more, so it would be helpful if the hotel provided more bottles or clearer information on how to restock. Final Verdict Despite these small points, the overall quality of the resort is top-notch. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the rooms alone make it worth the visit. Would I return? Yes, without a doubt. It is a fantastic place to unwind.

Best hotel ever: a dream wedding come true We had our wedding at The Surin a week ago and honestly everything was beyond perfect. Every single detail was delivered at a level far exceeding what we ever imagined. This resort is truly exceptional and our experience was nothing short of magical. A very special thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Bat who planned everything for us. We didn’t have an external wedding planner so we relied heavily on her and let me tell you she is an absolute superwoman. From the moment we booked the venue over a year ago. Bat answered every question and request promptly, sometimes even while she was on holiday (which still amazes us). We genuinely cannot imagine our special day without her. Bat has been incredible not only during the wedding week and on the day itself but throughout the entire year leading up to it. Her patience, kindness, professionalism and attention to detail made the whole process stress-free and enjoyable. She and her team were absolutely amazing. Thank you Bat and her team for their dedication, care and for making our wedding day more beautiful than we ever dreamed possible. Yes the hotel is expensive but it is so so worth it🥹♥️ Highly highly recommended!
