We had a wonderful stay at Santhiya Koh Yao Yai Resort & Spa. From the moment we arrived, we truly felt welcome. The staff were consistently warm, friendly and attentive, always greeting us with a smile and making sure our family had everything we needed. We were especially touched by the beautiful "Welcome Home" surprise prepared in our room. It was a thoughtful gesture that made us feel like returning guests rather than just visitors. The resort itself is stunning, with beautiful traditional Thai architecture, lush gardens, breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. It was the perfect place to relax and spend quality time as a family. Our daughter especially loved exploring the resort and the pools. Thank you to everyone at Santhiya for your kindness and hospitality. We leave with wonderful memories and will happily recommend this resort to anyone looking for an authentic, peaceful and memorable stay in Thailand. We certainly hope to return again.

We chose Santhiya Koh Yao Yai because we had previously stayed at Santhiya Natai three times, and every visit was exceptional. Unfortunately, our experience at Yao Yai was completely different and fell far below the five-star standard we expected. The villa itself was beautiful with stunning views, and this was the highlight of our stay. However, it felt like we were paying for the villa and location rather than the level of service expected from a luxury resort. From the moment we arrived at the pier, the staff member who greeted us was not welcoming and was openly talking about other guests in Thai, which felt unprofessional. At reception, we waited over an hour for our villa without any update and had to ask ourselves if it was ready. There was also no proper check-in or introduction to the resort. Communication throughout our stay was poor, with WhatsApp messages ignored or delayed and the repeated excuse that staff were “busy.” There were several other issues, including waiting over an hour for two coffees, finding a used sanitary pad wrapper left on the villa floor upon arrival, confusion over our Agoda booking which included 2,000 THB in resort credit but the hotel only honoured 1,000 THB and additional charges for basic items like plates and cutlery. To make matters worse, although the advertised check-out time was 11:30 a.m., reception called our villa at around 10:30 a.m. asking us to check out early, which made us feel rushed at the end of an already disappointing stay. We spent a significant amount on our villa, speedboat transfers, dining, and other expenses, but the overall experience was nowhere near five-star. Having experienced the excellent service at Santhiya Natai, this stay was incredibly disappointing. Unless service standards improve significantly, we would not return or recommend this property.

A truly exceptional resort and one of the highlights of our trip to Thailand. We stayed in one of the private villas, and I highly recommend this option for anyone visiting. The villa offered stunning views, excellent privacy, and a unique traditional Thai design that made the experience feel authentic and luxurious at the same time. The resort itself is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always eager to help. The facilities were well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing from the moment we arrived until departure. If you are looking for a peaceful island getaway away from the crowds, this resort is definitely worth considering. I would happily stay here again.

We had an amazing stay at Santhiya Koh Yao Yai Resort & Spa. The resort is absolutely beautiful, and the traditional wooden architecture makes it truly unique. Everything was very clean, the food was excellent, and the breakfast area is simply incredible unlike anything we’ve ever seen. The staff were exceptionally kind, friendly, and always happy to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The only downside was that the resort doesn’t have a nurse or medical staff available at night. Unfortunately, I became very sick late in the evening with severe symptoms, and there wasn’t much the hotel could do to help. Since the resort is on an island, access to medical care is limited, so we had to leave early and take a speedboat back to Phuket to get to a hospital. Despite this, we truly loved the resort and are very grateful for the wonderful hospitality we received.

An Unforgettable, Idyllic Escape! Santhiya Koh Yao Yai Resort & Spa is truly amazing from the moment you are picked up until your final departure. We stayed in a Sea Water Pool Room, which was absolutely idyllic—featuring a sparkling private pool, lush nature all around, and a full, breathtaking view of the ocean. The dining experience was equally impressive. Lunch at the main restaurant was exquisite, while the breakfast buffet offered an incredible variety of choices alongside impeccable service. As frequent travelers who visit many resorts, we can confidently say that Santhiya left a lasting impression on us. We cannot recommend it highly enough!
