We stayed a total of 5 nights at The Standard and were very satisfied with the hotel. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect, as the BTS Skytrain station is right next to it, making a large part of the city easily accessible. The pool was larger than we expected from the photos, and having a pool bar is a great bonus. We only dined at the hotel once, and it was fine. The only downside was that the reception could be better organized; it gave me a slightly chaotic impression. It took several attempts for the final bill to be correct. Overall, I can confidently recommend the hotel.

I stayed here as a couple for two nights in January. We stayed using a Cat 4 redemption, and were very nicely upgraded to a deluxe king. The bed was large and sheets were very comfortable. I loved that the blackout curtains were very effective. The room felt large and roomy, and I appreciated the use of glass bottles to reduce plastic waste. I enjoy tea and also liked the selection provided in the room. The view faced the afternoon sun and a small Christian cemetary. This might bother some, but not me. Fittings looked new and well maintained. The lighting in the room and bathroom was simple to use and pleasant. The Toto washlet initially had a problem, however the service staff promptly reset it and it was fine. The shower and bathtub area were definitely on the larger side of things, so spacious and roomy! The bathtub could easily fit two people. Service was always quick - we requested several times for more bottles of water. The location is convenient, right next to a BTS stop and a small but modern mall. I must say, for all the nice fittings in the hotel lobby and rooms, the hallway spaces look pretty empty and plain! Quite odd.

Everything is perfect. Room is very new, and the design is modern and convenient. Views are awesome with floor to ceiling windows all over the room. Bed is extremely comfortable, and liens are high quality. Service is top tier, friendly and efficient. The hotel is right by the BTS station, so going everywhere is a breeze. Highly recommend it to anyone wants a great stay in Bangkok.

We stayed four nights at The Standard in Bangkok, and overall the experience didn’t align with the price. We’ve stayed in better hotels for less. Positives - The location is excellent, just a 5 minute walk from the BTS, which makes getting around the city very easy. - Our suite was truly impressive, with a stunning view. The bathroom was the highlight: a large, serene shower-and-bath area that felt like a private spa. - The housekeeping team was consistently kind and professional. - Our booking also included access to the sky view, which turned out to be a great experience. - Another pleasant surprise was the poetry night hosted in the hotel bar by an external group, we had a wonderful time listening to the performances. Negatives - The swimming pool area was below expectations. The space is quite small and quickly becomes crowded when the pool is in the sun. The sunbeds are worn, and you can feel the dents left by previous guests. The water was also unexpectedly cold despite the 30°C weather. In addition, the pool bar’s food was overpriced for the quality offered. - The reception team didn’t feel welcoming, and communication with them was often difficult. - Breakfast was underwhelming as well, not terrible, but far from what you’d expect from a hotel in this price range.

From the seconds you’re approaching Mahanakhon Tower until you’ve arrived in your accommodation, the Beaty of the architecture and design will have you swept away. The rooms fully button managed you’ll have as much daylight as Bangkok can provide or none. The in-room speaker includes a microphone so do note that it can be used for conference calls or more. The staff from Bell Men, Reception, Room Service all exceptionally helpful, kind, and understanding. Having eaten at the other F&B outlets already, I stuck to in-room dining. Some of the finest I’ve had anywhere. 24 hours snacks or full on feasts.the Thai Soups, Cheeseburger, Beef Satay, Chocolate Moelleux all stand outs. It’s the perfect place to either transport mind and spirit, or kick your shoes off after a day & night of exploring what Bangkok has to offer!
