The St. Regis Le Morne Resort Mauritius

We recently stayed at The St. Regis Le Morne Resort, Mauritius and overall had a very enjoyable experience. Our room was clean, spacious, and exactly as advertised in the photos. Upon arrival, there was a slight renovation smell in the room, but after we mentioned it to the staff, they promptly provided a machine that helped eliminate the odor. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of high-quality options. The food across the hotel's restaurants was outstanding as well. One of the highlights of our stay was meeting the sous-chef, who was incredibly friendly and even offered to prepare anything we wanted, which added a very personal touch to the experience. The hotel features two pools and a beautiful beach area, both of which were enjoyable. However, there is still room for improvement in terms of service, especially considering the luxury positioning of the St. Regis brand. For example, we booked an excursion through the concierge that turned out not to be suitable for us and was stopped shortly after it began. While we fully paid for the excursion, we would have appreciated some follow-up from the concierge team to understand our experience and check whether everything was satisfactory. Overall, this is a very good option in the area, particularly given the limited number of luxury resorts nearby. We had a wonderful stay, enjoyed the food, the room, and the setting, but we believe there is still some room for improvement in order to fully meet the expectations associated with a luxury hotel.

Breathtaking - one of the best hotels in the world. Unreal scenery at the arguably best location in all of Mauritius. Staying and admiring Le Morne rock every day is a completely different game to literally any other location on the island. The resort itself is like a perfect movie setting. The team takes care about every detail. Be aware: The pictures online don't do it justice (which is likely the only development opportunity for this resort). Jean-Baptiste's teams of all departments sincerely care. Aroumal from the pool team became nearly a friend with her authentic kindness. Starting every morning with such a true welcome from Lucinda & Charlotte at the breakfast brought a smile to the full family. Sommelier Hansley takes great care of you and your experience throughout, while Deevek & Rao took every effort to cater to any needs. This is only naming few examples of a great team. Dining: Splendid. While it is true it's arguably high price if booked individually, any half board package or above make it incredible (high-)value for money. World class!

Khalid Mohd

This is a peaceful resort and is highly recommended for honeymooners and couples rather than families with children. Although we visited as a family with a toddler, the service everywhere—including all the restaurants—was absolutely extraordinary and beyond expectations. A special mention goes to the Japanese restaurant and its manager. I cannot recall his name at the moment, but he is incredibly generous, polite, and goes out of his way to help everyone, whether it’s related to his restaurant or anything else around the resort. Regarding the dining options, the main restaurant had a somewhat limited selection, especially for breakfast, but the food was always delicious and very fresh. I can never forget Manisha—an exceptional individual whom the resort should be truly proud to have on their team. She is a wonderful mother and a hardworking, ever-smiling employee who anticipates guests' needs and offers help before even being asked. Thank you, Manisha, and thank you to the entire staff without exception! Areas that could use improvement: The Beach: The sand could be improved or replaced if possible, as it is currently full of pebbles and small stones. Kids Club: It is quite small, though the staff working there are very cooperative. Food Variety: We would love to see more dining options available. Medical Clinic (Crucial Point): My daughter felt a bit unwell and we needed medication, but we were informed at the clinic that they do not stock medicine for children. This was quite surprising for a resort of this caliber, and I sincerely hope this policy is corrected for the safety of young guests. Overall, I want to thank everyone once again for an unforgettable stay. We hope to see you again in the future!

Rubah Musvee

We had a fabulous stay at The St. Regis Le Morne Resort, Mauritius. The staff were incredibly attentive throughout our stay, and the food was truly world class. We stayed at a few resorts across the west and north coast of the island, and this one stood out by a long stretch. The beach was pristine, calm, and very swimmable, with plenty of fish to see while snorkeling. One suggestion for future guests would be to bring your own snorkels, as it was difficult for us to get access to them outside the scheduled tours. The Japanese restaurant Atsuko was exceptional, easily some of the best Japanese food we’ve ever had. A very special thank you to Ayman, our butler, who went above and beyond every single day to make sure we were comfortable and happy. He truly made our stay unforgettable. We would also like to thank Jean-Baptiste Chazallet, General Manager, Benoit George, Resort Manager, Shirish Shriva, Butler Manager, and Ghirish for their warmth and hospitality throughout our stay. We really had an amazing time thanks to the entire team at St. Regis and the exceptional care from everyone at the hotel.

Best hotel in Mauritius! The resort is beautifully spread out at the foot of Le Morne with a stunning beachfront. Rooms: Very spacious, clean and well maintained. Dining: The property has five restaurants and all were very good. Even the main buffet exceeded expectations and had great quality and variety. Atmosphere & Activities: There was daily entertainment including live music from local artists and a good range of activities for kids. Even though there were many families, the resort is so spread out that it never felt crowded or noisy. Service: Staff were excellent throughout the stay. Always very engaging, they will think a step ahead for all your needs. Highlight: The private boat tour to swim with dolphins — easily arranged through the concierge, with departure directly from the hotel. Overall: A very high-quality resort with excellent service. Great option for couples and families looking for a luxury stay in Mauritius.
