We had an amazing stay at Sofitel L’Imperial. The property offers breathtaking views and a very relaxing atmosphere throughout the resort. Our room was beautifully designed, aesthetic, and extremely comfortable, making the stay even more memorable. A special highlight was the hospitality and attention given to our dietary requirements. The team went above and beyond to customise the food for us, which made us feel truly cared for during our stay. Special thanks to Devina, Ishvari, and Chef Yoni for their warmth, exceptional service, and personal attention. They genuinely made our experience extra special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay in Mauritius!

This was a luxurious experience staying here right next to the flic en flac beach. The hotel and the area around is so green and luscious. Our room was very luxurious and had two bathrooms. Their “cloud bed” is a bit too fluffy to my liking but my room and sleep was comfortable. I like it that they have water refilling stations outside the room and they provide bottle for refill so that you don’t use single use plastic. They have options to prebook glass bottom boats into the sea or snorkelling if you wish. The buffet spread was good with a pancake and waffle station, an egg station, juice and fruit’s station, and a bread station. They have golf carts to take you to your rooms if you don’t wish to walk. They have a kids play area where kids can do some colouring and play board games which I thought was thoughtful and nice. They give you a steam bath and Hamam with your stay which is alright, nothing to be excited about. My only disappointment was the last day of housekeeping. Our beds were made only at 4pm despite multiple calls. I don’t like my beds made that late. They said they had a shortage of housekeeping staff which sounded shocking for a place like Sofitel. However, overall we had a good time and great experience here.

Had the most incredible stay at Sofitel L’Impérial Resort & Spa in Mauritius from July 16 to 20, and honestly, the place is just gorgeous. The whole resort has this stunning, peaceful vibe right by the beach that makes you feel relaxed the second you step foot on the property. The resort features two pools, and we especially loved that The Flamboyant Pool was right in front of our room and temperature-controlled. What really blew us away, though, was the level of service. Every single staff member we crossed paths with—from the restaurant servers to the fantastic crew down at the boat house—was so polite, professional, and genuinely warm. They even provided us with an early check-in around three hours prior to the standard time. A very polite and friendly gentleman, whose name I unfortunately forgot, welcomed us upon arrival, provided all the helpful information about our stay and the resort, and showed us to the lounge to complete our formalities. The lounge had a great place to rest, change, and freshen up in the washroom, along with delicious snacks like croissants and pain au chocolat. A few people went completely above and beyond for us. Mr. Mungur was amazing from the start, super responsive to all my emails before we even arrived and making sure everything was locked in. They also arranged complimentary welcome setup of sparkling wine on ice, fancy chocolates and sweets which totally made our day. Nadine kept our room looking immaculate and super cozy the entire time, and Kiran handled our billing smoothly with a huge smile (seriously hope you get to visit India soon, Kiran!). Thomas down at the pool bar was an absolute legend, always checking in to make sure we were comfortable, our glasses were never empty, and even serving us delicious snacks straight from the beach restaurant. On top of that, the two gentlemen at the taxi desk and Thierry at the car rental desk made getting around completely stress-free. We also opted for in-room dining, and the food was not only delicious but delivered in less than thirty minutes. To top it all off, they treated us to a wonderful complimentary beach breakfast, which was such a treat and the server was absolutely professional yet friendly. If you're heading to Mauritius, this is the spot. Huge thank you to the whole team for making our trip so special—we're already missing it!

We had a fairly good time and sort of a so-so experience at the Sofitel Mauritius L'Impérial Resort & Spa. Pros - - Property itself - it's beautiful - Food - very good Cons - The biggest issue was customer service! Apart from a few individual people who were helpful the overall attitude was very laid back in terms of customer service. Issues we faced - - check in took over 1.5 hours (and we had actually reached at 7pm for a 2pm check in). No one brothered to come and even speak to us for the entire waiting period, we had to actually go to them 3-4 times. - service at breakfast was very casual and it seemed to us that they were understaffed. Didn't get a table, no one showed us the way. We had to ourselves get a kind enough steward to help us (who was already flat out busy) - we left at 6am in the morning for an early flight, so we didn't have the time to do breakfast on the last day (for which we had paid along with our room rate btw) The attitude and the audacity of the staff was very surprising for a five star property (the room for which we had paid a handsome sum). They didn't want to accomodate us with even a small cover to take some fruits and croissants, leave alone pack a little breaky. (Most good hotels do that by the way). We loved the chef at the Japanese restaurant - Chef Kumar. He was a gentleman and really made the effort to make us feel welcomed. And the person at the cash counter who settled our bill was extremely helpful as well. The attitude of front desk people during check in and the restaurant people all throughout was not something we admired. That being said, a few others did help and the property was beautiful. Will probably have to re-think before booking Sofitel or Accor hotels for next time's stay...

Had a great time with my wife to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary. Sunsets were exceptional whether at the beach or heated pool. Breakfast had many Indian and Western options. All staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and able to converse in both English and French. Special mention to Vikash who took into consideration our late departure flight and extended a late checkout. Would not hesitate to recommend!
