We had a truly remarkable, all-round experience staying at the Sofitel Imperial. The staff were all exceptional and was the key stand-out for us. Friendly and professional staff greeted us everywhere we went. The food was very good on our half board option, even though it could've been a little bit better quality - especially the meat. Overall the resort was very well kept and the facilities were always clean. Even the beach area where the volleyball court was, was cleaned every morning. The only thing we felt that was lacking was the communication before and during our stay. We weren't informed of dress codes for dinner and some of the events and entertainment that we were going to experience. There was a wonderful local band and dancers that played one night and we missed most of the show as we were sat down for dinner. An easy solution could be using whatsapp as a channel for daily updates and important messages upfront.

Great food and rooms, but staff and facilities need work Pros: The food is a true highlight in every way—especially the appetizers and the fruit station, which feels like a high-end manufactory. The newly renovated rooms are fantastic (we stayed in a family suite), though the old windows and doors could use an update. The beach bar is a midday highlight every time. Cons: Some staff seem unmotivated, rarely greet guests, and service at the beach bar is often slow and lethargic. The overall property really needs renovation. It’s clearly geared toward French guests, but that wasn’t an issue for us. In summary: Excellent food and rooms, but staff and facilities have strong room for improvement.

A truly 5 star experience here, right from the property to the service. The beach is scenic, well maintained and ideal for swimming. You can catch the most spectacular sunsets. We visited on our honeymoon and were treated with many sweet complimentary gestures by the team. Truly recommend a stay here to get recharged and relaxed. The sounds of birds and waves will keep one engaged at all times

Stayed in this beautiful property but was very disappointed with the service quality. Not worth the tariff. We mentioned we are celebrating our 5th anniversary here but there was no room decoration other than few petals being arranged on the bed and a tshirt of sofitel spa being kept..Being a French hotel chain, there was no 24/7 restaurant serving European food. For european food, all you can do is room service and the food quality is average. They had a theme every night for dinner buffet and no ala carte food being served. Ala carte food was available only in their 3 speciality restaurants- one Chinese, one Japanese and one Mauritian restaurant or through room service. They said they have complimentary sauna and hamam facility but while reserving time they did not inform that hamam is not working. The spa staff only informed us when we were inside and after we confirmed them we have no paid service booked. Overall one should only stay at this place for the beautiful property and nice rooms. Would never want to stay at another Sofitel property

The room on the first floor (136) with access to garden and sea view was great. We also loved dinners, which were connected to a new country each evening (cuisine of France, India, Mexico, etc.). Also pool was perfect - very big, with different depth and very warm.
