From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed and cared for. The elegant and comfortable room, the breathtaking natural surroundings, the beautifully maintained grounds, and the exquisite cuisine all made our stay exceptional. The service throughout the resort was outstanding – attentive, warm, and highly professional. A heartfelt thank-you to all the wonderful staff across every department, whose kindness, dedication, and genuine hospitality made our time at The Datai so special. This is a place where true luxury meets authentic warmth. We are already looking forward to our next visit and can wholeheartedly recommend The Datai to anyone seeking a unique and unforgettable experience.

The Datai is the adult version of Disneyland. The location could not be more perfect. Middle of the rainforest without any other hotel or private residence for miles around. One the most beautiful beach I have seen. The service, attention to details and the overall aesthetics are just remarkable. The food is great, different restaurant options. I understand why many guests are coming back every year and you will too once you experience it. If you are coming for a “shorter” stay, a week or less, make sure to book activities in advance as these are all booked out pretty quickly (in or out resort). I was a bit surprised there. Do not wait to check in or you will be locked out for the first 2 days.

I recently stayed at a five-star hotel and had a mix of experiences, though the negatives were striking enough to warrant serious consideration. 1. **Stellar Location**: The location is indeed magnificent, offering remarkable seclusion and a breathtaking view of the beach that feels exclusive and enchanting. 2. **Beautiful Design**: The hotel boasts a stunning, traditional rainforest-inspired design that adds a unique charm to the overall experience. 3. **Aesthetic Room Setup**: The room was aesthetically pleasing, especially with its private pool and picturesque vistas of nature that instantly instilled a sense of relaxation. 4. **Amazing Massage**: The massage I received was exceptional, truly a highlight of my stay. However, the experience was overwhelmingly marred by the management's glaring shortcomings: 1. **Management Blunders**: The management staff needs a complete overhaul—it's astounding to witness such inefficiency in a five-star establishment. Breakfast time became a chaotic and frustrating ordeal, with absolutely no crowd management in place. It felt like a free-for-all! Finding a seat was nearly impossible, and I was left wandering around in search of a spot among the chaos, which is far from the serene breakfast experience one would expect at such a prestigious hotel. 2. **Dusty Rooms**: To add insult to injury, the rooms were inexplicably dusty. It was as if they hadn't been properly cleaned in ages, which detracted significantly from the luxurious stay I had envisioned. Ultimately, while the hotel has potential due to its stunning environment and excellent amenities, the management's (ZUL) swift response made it exceptional.

We stayed at The Datai Langkawi for four nights and were 100% convinced. Anyone who loves the rainforest must experience this resort. Its location on a secluded bay with no other hotels or houses is simply unique. I would particularly like to highlight the free guided tours of the rainforest by Hamrish, whose enthusiasm for the resort's natural surroundings is absolutely evident. Thank you very much for the many exciting insights! It was an absolute privilege to visit this hotel. We will definitely be back.

The Datai Langkawi is an exceptionally well-maintained resort that perfectly balances luxury and nature. The property is surrounded by pristine rainforest, and it’s clear that great care is taken to preserve the environment. Everything is spotless and peaceful you can see monkeys up close and spot rare birds throughout the area. The golf course is so beautiful it almost feels unreal. The beach area is stunning, and the staff there are truly wonderful so kind and thoughtful. They even went out of their way to get lychees for me, even though they weren’t available at the time. That kind of effort shows how dedicated they are to making guests feel special. A perfect example of sustainable luxury, The Datai is a place where you can relax completely while surrounded by nature and genuine hospitality.
