From the moment we arrived, the resort delivered an unforgettable experience. The setting in the rainforest was incredible, and the staff in the resort made the atmosphere throughout our stay relaxing and friendly. The rooms, which are wooden chalets, may not have the sleek feel of modern five‑star luxury hotels, but we loved their rustic character and they were perfect for our stay. The housekeeping team kept everything immaculately clean and fresh! The food was consistently excellent. Breakfast offered a brilliant selection with something for everyone, food at the pool and beach throughout the day was great and each evening we enjoyed high‑quality, and tasty meals. One area that could be improved is the pool service. Each time we ordered food by the pool, we had to clear away our own plates and cutlery. Staff seemed slow to circle the area, which meant used dishes could easily pile up in the hot afternoon sun. A more attentive poolside service would make a big difference. A smaller but memorable highlight was the evening nature walk. It was informative, engaging, and led by the resorts naturalist gave us a deeper appreciation of the incredible wildlife and environment around the resort. A final mention to the shuttle team, as the resort is large there is a complementary shuttle service 24hr a day. Every driver was friendly, helpful and always went above and beyond for us! Overall, the experiences were five‑star in every sense. The nature was incredible, we saw things we never thought we’d encounter. While the chalets are great and very comfortable, for some they not feel like modern five‑star luxury, that said, they added to the magic of being immersed in the forest surrounded by nature.

The location is outstanding, right next to the SkyCab cable cars, making it an ideal base for exploring the island. The resort itself is truly unique, with individual chalets nestled throughout the rainforest and extending over the sea, creating the feel of a peaceful village. The scenery is spectacular, the private beach is beautiful, and the food throughout our stay was excellent. What really stood out was the exceptional hospitality. Every member of staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. Having first visited the resort 19 years ago, it was wonderful to return. However, I do feel the chalets would benefit from refurbishment, particularly the interior décor and air-conditioning systems, which now feel dated. Modernising these while preserving the resort's unique character would greatly enhance the guest experience. Similarly, the lobby is a beautiful semi-open space, but in the tropical heat it can become quite warm. A more effective air-conditioning solution, rather than relying mainly on fans circulating warm air, would make arrivals and departures much more comfortable. Overall, Berjaya Langkawi remains a truly special resort with a unique charm that is difficult to find elsewhere. With a few thoughtful upgrades, it would continue to deserve its five-star reputation for many years to come.

The location was perfect and the private beach was one of the best on the island. The staff all were super helpful and nice. The buggy for transportation within the resort was also very helpful as the distances are noticeable for frequent walks. The breakfast had enormous choice including all fresh fruits, juices and Western, Chinese, Malay, Indian, etc. cuisines that also included rich choice of cooking stations for eggs, noodles, wafers, chapati, etc. The premises have several restaurants that were all very nice and delicious - do not trust the reviews on the maps, they are great! The beach, the beach bar, pool and spa were also very nice, clean and provided great service! The sky nest attraction is just a walk away. What was the best experience is that the entire resort is very well embedded into the forest from one side and the sea on the other one with all their beauty of flora and fauna but at the same time clean and safe. Big and covered parking was also very convenient as well as on-site convenience shop. Rooms were spacious and had all the amenities needed, also very clean and with a great bed to rest. Only the nature's noise. Definitely would recommend and come back! Some communication before the arrival was a little limited.

I had a wonderful stay at Berjaya Langkawi Resort. Although I didn’t stay in one of the famous overwater or sea-view chalets, my rainforest chalet turned out to be a great experience. Staying in a standalone chalet surrounded by tropical rainforest felt peaceful and relaxing, and it was common to hear birds and other sounds of nature throughout the day. It offered a very different atmosphere from a typical beach resort. The service was excellent from check-in to check-out. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. Since the resort is huge, the complimentary shuttle service was extremely convenient and arrived quickly whenever I requested it. The resort also has its own private beach, which made it easy to enjoy a quieter and less crowded seaside experience. Another nice touch was the complimentary minibar, which was a pleasant surprise and added extra value to the stay. The only downside is the location. The resort is situated on the quieter side of Langkawi, so getting to Kuah Town or Pantai Cenang takes some time and requires additional transportation. However, if your goal is to relax, enjoy nature, and escape the crowds, this location is actually an advantage. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. Beautiful surroundings, excellent service, and a peaceful atmosphere make this a resort I would happily recommend and would love to visit again.

The resort's shuttle service was convenient and scenic, with every ride offering stunning views of nature. The rooms were comfortable, well-maintained, and blended perfectly with the surrounding environment. From relaxing by the beach to enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, every moment was memorable.
