We'd come back to this hotel in a heartbeat. The location is beautiful. The amenities excellent. But what makes it stand out is the staff. Especially Faiz and Man Yee in the restaurant made every meal a pleasure. Their service is exceptional and genuinely friendly. They even made a special afternoon tea one day, which surpassed many I've had in London. The chef went above and beyond. The kids club is engaging to the point where our kids didn't want to leave when we picked them up. They provide bikes to easily get around the resort. Only drawback was the kids sleep in a bed at the foot of the master bed. But no hotel is perfect. And it didnt really impact the experience overall.

We returned yesterday from the hotel where we spent five days. Overall, it is a wonderful place. The atmosphere is very pleasant and peaceful, and the staff are extremely friendly and attentive, responding immediately to any request or feedback. All the restaurants deserve special mention, the menus are very diverse and the food is consistently delicious. We truly enjoyed dining everywhere. The spa was another highlight. The spa manager was very attentive, and when I asked to change my therapist to try a new one, the issue was resolved immediately. Each treatment room has its own shower, changing area, and massage space with a bathtub and a balcony. You can hear birds singing there, which makes the experience incredibly calm and relaxing. The massages were excellent. The rooms are beautiful and exactly as shown in the photos — very clean, stylish, and comfortable. As a lovely surprise, monkeys even came to visit us, which added a special touch to our stay. The beach is very large. It is not perfectly clean, although it is regularly cleaned by a machine, and sunbeds are not always available. The sea itself is clean, but not as turquoise as we had expected. Despite the water temperature being around 30°C, very few people swim, which we found rather surprising. A couple of small points could be improved. The welcome amenities were quite modest just mandarins and water. Also, mango was not available at breakfast unless specifically requested, which felt a bit unusual. During our stay, we had a wonderful time. We enjoyed cycling around the property, which was fantastic, and we also visited a natural park with a hotel naturalist. It was a three-hour experience that flew by and is definitely a must-visit absolutely fascinating. Overall, we spent five wonderful days here and can confidently recommend this hotel. The team truly goes out of their way to make guests feel cared for.

A truly unforgettable stay at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi. The staff were exceptionally friendly, warm, and attentive, anticipating our every need effortlessly. From the moment we arrived every query or request was met with a genuine smile. The facilities are immaculate and beautifully designed from the stunning pools to the spa and restaurants. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Ikan-Ikan and outstanding breakfasts each morning at Serai. Our room was spacious, serene, and perfectly appointed with breathtaking views. Surrounded by tranquil nature and a pristine private beach the resort feels like a private paradise. Absolutely world-class hospitality. The staff truly made our stay unforgettable and we cannot wait to return again soon. Highly recommended A+++++

We spent our babymoon at Four Seasons Langkawi and absolutely loved every bit of it. The property is stunning, loved the outdoor jacuzzi and the staff were incredibly kind, they took such good care of us throughout our stay. The food at Ikan Ikan was amazing, easily one of our favourites on the trip. Overall, a beautiful beach side resort with hospitable people. Highly recommend !!!

I stayed at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi expecting a consistently polished, genuinely five-star experience. Unfortunately, what I received did not match the price point or the reputation. To be clear: the property is beautiful and the setting is stunning. However, in a hotel at this level, the baseline should be seamless service, proactive problem-solving, and clear communication. That was not my experience. What fell short: 1) Service delivery was inconsistent There were moments of friendliness, but too often requests felt slow, fragmented, or required repeated follow-ups. In a true 5-star resort, you shouldn’t have to “manage” basic service outcomes. 2) Price-to-value is difficult to justify At this rate, you expect a high standard across every touchpoint — check-in, room readiness, housekeeping detail, responsiveness, and overall guest care. Instead, it felt like I was paying mainly for the name and the scenery, not for the full Four Seasons service standard. 3) Transparency around beach / swimming access One of the most frustrating elements was the approach to access and swimming. Guests were effectively discouraged or prevented from using certain areas in a way that was not clearly explained upfront. If there are legitimate safety reasons (currents, tides, jellyfish, weather, regulations) that is understandable — but it must be communicated clearly, in advance, and handled with professional guest care. Also, my understanding is that in Malaysia many beaches are public, so any limitations on access should be explained transparently and managed appropriately, rather than feeling like guests are being “told off” without proper context. 4) The “awards” narrative didn’t match the lived experience The resort’s marketing and accolades set a very high expectation. Based on my stay, the reality did not align with that positioning. If you’re choosing this property because you expect flawless five-star execution, be aware it may feel more like a high-priced resort experience rather than a genuinely premium, service-led one. angkawi is gorgeous and this resort has the foundations to be exceptional — but for the price, the service consistency and transparency need significant improvement. I would not return at this rate, and I would not recommend it to travellers who are specifically paying for a dependable 5-star standard rather than the location alone.
