We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel, one that we will remember for a very long time. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed with such genuine warmth and kindness that it instantly made us feel at home. The room was, beautifully arranged, and filled with a peaceful comfort that made our stay truly relaxing. Every detail—from the delicious food to the thoughtful, attentive service—showed us just how much care and love the staff put into making each guest’s experience special. I want to express my deepest gratitude to Thinal at the front desk and Dulshan from the gym for their exceptional kindness, dedication, and warmth throughout our stay. Both of them went far beyond their duties to make sure we were happy and comfortable, and for that we are truly grateful. A very big thank you to each of them. I must especially appreciate Dulshan, who showed so much love and patience toward my six-year-old daughter. Despite his busy schedule, he always made time for her, made her smile, and treated her with genuine kindness. His remarkable knowledge in fitness training and the way he motivates everyone who walks into the gym is truly inspiring. We have never experienced such dedication and passion from any trainer before. Both Thinal and Dulshan are truly treasures to this hotel—rare, exceptional individuals who make a real difference. We sincerely wish them both a bright and successful future, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to every member of the staff for filling our stay with warmth, care, and beautiful memories.

I’m currently staying at The Blue Water Hotel & Spa (visited on 9th November) and will be checking out tomorrow. I didn’t even want to wait until I left to write this review because I truly felt grateful for the exceptional service I received during this stay. This isn’t my first time here — it’s actually my fourth visit (previous stays were in 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2022) — but this time, I felt a strong need to express my appreciation for the amazing hospitality shown by the team. A special thank you to Srimal, the Front Desk Manager, and Shenal and Erandi from the front desk team. Despite a few issues with the room category and a shower problem, they went far beyond their duties to make sure everything was handled with care and professionalism. They personally checked on us several times and ensured we were comfortable throughout our stay. I also want to sincerely thank the cleaning staff and the plumbing team who worked hard to fix the shower issue. Even when time was limited, how ever front end team intervened and they offered an alternate room and handled the situation quickly and kindly. Every staff member we met was incredibly friendly, and honestly, being here feels like visiting a best friend’s home — warm, welcoming, and full of genuine care. It’s truly a home away from home, filled with love and respect. If I may suggest one small improvement: I noticed the buffet menu and food taste weren’t quite as impressive as I remember from my earlier visits. It would be wonderful to see that signature flavor and variety return, as it used to be one of this hotel’s strongest highlights. Thank you once again to everyone at The Blue Water Hotel & Spa for making our stay so memorable. Your dedication and kindness never go unnoticed. I look forward to returning again soon! 💙

Stayed here for a day trip and was well looked after by the staff who were quite accomodating for all of our needs. The entire property was clean, well maintained and the buffet was delicious. The views are amazing and the entire atmosphere is incredibly relaxing. All staff were super professional and I have to make a special mention of Ms Sandali who went above and beyond to make sure my family's needs were attended to. Congratulations on your team Mr Srimal Perera. Thanks again!

Gorgeous hotel, pool and spa with amazing sea views. The staff were incredible, particularly Prabath who led the water aerobics and yoga. We were the only couple for yoga and we had a 1 hour 20 minute session that really relaxed us and set us up for the day. The food was fantastic and the staff very friendly and approachable. Great gym and spa facilities (spa is very well priced ~£56/hour massage). Our room with a balcony was beautiful, our only issue was the shower leaked during use. Aside from that it was a wonderful stay and I’d thoroughly recommend booking here to enjoy the west coast.

I recently stayed at Blue Water Hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The room was comfortable and nicely set up with a lovely view, and it included all the essential amenities which was great. However, the AC system was a bit inconvenient since it had to be switched on and off manually without a remote. The couch and washroom floor could have been a little cleaner, but nothing major. The buffet offered tasty food, though the spread was quite limited compared to expectations. The staff were pleasant and helpful, making the overall stay decent and relaxing.
