Had an excellent stay at Turyaa Kalutara! We stayed in a Superior Plus room, which was really comfortable and well-appointed. The entire experience was wonderful from start to finish. The highlight was definitely the pool area—they have two large, beautiful pools that are perfect for relaxing. The buffet spread was equally impressive, with a huge variety of delicious options for every meal. Plus, the ocean views are absolutely stunning. Highly recommended for a getaway!

We had a wonderful and memorable stay at Turyaa Kalutara, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. We stayed in the Superior Rooms, which were exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well maintained, making our stay even more enjoyable. The buffet food was absolutely delicious, with flavorful variety of dishes. The ambience throughout the hotel was cozy, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing vacation. A special thank you to Duminda from the buffet team, who was exceptionally friendly and pleasant throughout our stay. His warm hospitality made every dining experience even more enjoyable. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Sandali, Asantha, and Ison from the reception team for their outstanding service. They were professional, welcoming, and ensured we felt well taken care of from the beginning to the end of our stay. A special mention also goes to the hotel’s reservation team. We had to change our booking dates due to an unexpected emergency, and they were incredibly helpful, understanding, and flexible in accommodating our request. Their excellent customer service was truly appreciated. Finally, our heartfelt thanks to the entire Turyaa Kalutara team for making our stay so wonderful and memorable. We truly enjoyed every moment and are already looking forward to visiting again soon!

Excellent Location and Comfortable Stay, But Restaurant Service Needs Improvement Rating: 4/5 We recently booked 10 rooms at the Thurya Hotel under a Bed & Breakfast Plus (BB+) package for a group stay. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience with a few specific areas that could use attention. Location (5/5): Absolutely exceptional. The hotel's location is perfect and was a major highlight of our trip. Facilities (4.5/5): The rooms and general areas are excellent. The only minor issues we encountered were intermittent Wi-Fi connectivity that dropped from time to time, and the hallway lights being off for a noticeable period. Service & Reception (4/5): The front desk and reception team were professional, welcoming, and handled our group check-in efficiently. Restaurant (3.5/5): While the food itself was fine, the service here was unfortunately quite poor. Upon arrival, there was no welcome, and we had to wait over 5 minutes just to have our table ready. We were not offered water until we explicitly asked, and even then, it took several minutes to arrive. Additionally, empty plates left on the table for a long time after we finished our meals. Despite the slow service at dinner, the BB+ package and comfortable accommodations made for a good stay. With a bit more training for the restaurant staff, this hotel would easily be a 5-star experience.

Actually, this is such a beautiful place! We chose it for our annual office get-together, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. They organized fun games and activities for everyone, which made the day even more enjoyable. We had an amazing time enjoying the music with the relaxing sea breeze and stunning ocean views. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxing stay. Overall, this is one of the best places to visit, and I highly recommend it!

Loved every moment of our stay at the Turyaa Hotel. It was my first time in Sri Lanka and I felt very relaxed and welcome at this resort. The room was serviced by Miyuranga who was such a pleasure to talk to and did a great job of cleaning and tidying our room, even leaving us a towel sculpture of an elephant on the bed and some chocolates in the room. Definitely deserving of a promotion as he represents the Aitken Spence brand wonderfully. The dining room staff were also excellent and the chefs would often prepare a special dish for my mother-in-law who has a couple of food allergies. The food was delicious, fresh and good quality - plenty of variety, including local specialities. I particularly loved the crab curry. The pool attendants were great too and made sure we got the right spot to enjoy the sun, swimming and bar. We enjoyed the entertainment, especially the dancing performance and the fire eating. I would come here again in a heartbeat and would recommend it to family and friends as well. Best wishes to everyone involved in the smooth running of this place.
