Hikkaduwa is a popular area with tourists from around the world, and is known for its vibrant nightlife. If you fancy venturing out, you’ll find restaurants and bars within a 5-minute walk, and more as you keep walking along the coast. The historic city of Galle is within easy reach of Hikka Tranz, just 20km away. This area of Sri Lanka is a great destination for seeing some wonderful wildlife. The hotel can provide a number of experiences and excursions during your stay, including whale watching (October to April), diving and nature walks amongst many others.

The Crab

We visited Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon for our office outing, and overall it was a memorable experience. The lunch buffet didn’t offer a very large spread, but the items available were delicious, fresh, and nicely presented. The hotel’s beachfront view is truly stunning, creating the perfect backdrop for relaxation. The atmosphere is calm and chill, with a majority of the guests being foreign travelers, which gives the place a peaceful and resort-like feel. The room views were equally impressive, offering a beautiful outlook over the ocean. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had a smooth and pleasant experience throughout our stay. This hotel is a great choice if you’re looking for a relaxing escape with good food, great views, and a serene ambiance.

We had an amazing time at Hikka Tranz! We were lucky to get the best room with a stunning ocean view, absolutely breathtaking. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The food was absolutely delicious, with so many options and great flavours. Everything was spotless and beautifully maintained, creating such a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay. We honestly didn’t want to leave and would have loved to stay longer, but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked. Definitely looking forward to coming back again

Our stay in Hikkaduwa was truly one of the best experiences we have had last weekend. The staff were exceptionally friendly and supportive throughout our time there. From the reception and restaurant teams to the security personnel, everyone was courteous and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised and deeply appreciative to be upgraded to a suite — it was a thoughtful gesture that made our stay even more memorable. The accommodation was excellent, and we are sincerely grateful for the warm hospitality extended to us. The restaurant staff were particularly accommodating and supportive, especially in assisting with our baby. The food was delicious, the premises were well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere was delightful. There was this traditional dancing items as well which made the night even more beautiful. A special word of thanks goes to Mr. Jayasanka at the reception for his outstanding service and professionalism. We had an amazing and memorable stay, and I would definitely choose to stay here again in the future.

sea and specially sunsets are beautiful. Beach is very nice, best snorkling point is approximately 300m north after the boats. Hotel is good, we selected an deluxe room and got it just by the sea. Great views from both balconies. Hotell staff is great, friendly and smiling. Specially our room boy Tharanga, special thanks for the care.

First of all: The Location is amazing! You get direct Access to the Beach and an amazing Pool (super big). The View from the rooms is quite nice and the breakfast is fine. Most of the Staff was often very helpful (Especially Dinot from the reception) and overall very friendly. But why 3 Stars? My Main concern is the cleaniness. Especially the sundbeds are so Dirty (either the Beds are Full of Bird shit or The matrasses are Not clean and Full of stains and Bird shit), the rooms (Especially the bathrooms) and smaller things like the cuttlery in the restaurants are not clean. You can tell, that the whole Hotel is Not maintained well, the rooms definitely need an update and the Towels should be bought new. Besides the Coffee doesnt Taste good at all and eating in the Restaurant (Pasta and shrimp Salad) was no pleasure at all. The cleaning Boy was constantly (indirect) asking for tip and Kind of annoyed us. Should be a no Go for a 5 Star Hotel. Besides its forbidden to bring towels to the beach and you constantly have to ask for Water for your Room (Limit is 2 bottles a day Although its 30 degrees Outside). If the Hotel would cost around 100$ I wouldnt be bothered that much, but its around 170$ per Night and a 5 Star Hotel. For that I definitely expect more.
