This has been a great holiday for our family at this stunning resort. The location is perfect, access to the beach is incredible and all the activities you can choose from just make the stay even better. Breakfast was a highlight for us - we’ve never had better hoppers in our lives - Jasinthe is the hoppers queen! I had her hoppers everyday for breakfast and would come back to have more. She and the entire wait staff were amazing and caring, helping us throughout our stay. Mahesh and his team looked after us on the ground actively, Lavaneethan and his team ensure our rooms were well cleaned and looked after. Our children were actively trashing the room so I appreciate the effort he went to ensure it was a clean and safe space for them to play in. He also made sure we were never short of water either. It’s definitely a place worth the visit! The team just make it so easy for families to come and stay. We stayed for four nights and it was seem less. From check-in to check-out it was great!

We had a fantastic stay at Trinco Blu. It is perfectly located at the beach which is a few seconds walk from every room. The buffet selection was excellent and included local specialities as well. I would like to give special mention to Jasintha and her colleague Vidisha who made absolutely soft and yet crispy Appams that melt in your mouth. The coconut milk sweet Appams are totally mouth watering. All the staff are very friendly and polite. All our requests were met very promptly. The head chef also made an extra effort to include a dish in their buffet selection especially on our request for my mother who was slightly unwell during her stay there. All I can say is that you must stay here and personally experience everything for yourself as words are not always enough to express everything.

We stayed at Trinco Blu by Cinnamon for three nights, and our experience was very enjoyable—well above our expectations. The location is fantastic, right on the beautiful beach of Uppuveli. The pool is wonderful, the rooms overlook the beach, and the resort is just a short walk from several lovely beach front restaurants, making it a perfect place to spend relaxing evenings. The staff were genuinely kind, professional, and welcoming throughout our stay. A special thank you to Mahesh, who looked after us during breakfast and made every morning even more enjoyable with his excellent service. We stayed in one of the Standard Rooms on the second floor, and unfortunately they are not quite up to the standard of the rest of the resort. The rooms feel rather basic and a little dated. The biggest disappointment, however, was the cleanliness, which is the main reason we cannot give this property the highest rating. When we arrived, the floor was covered with dust and several long black hairs in different areas of the room. In addition, the corridor leading to the rooms feels more like an old hospital than a beach resort and could definitely be improved. From what we saw, the Beach Chalets located directly on the beach are of a much higher standard. Unfortunately, they were fully booked during our stay. Finally, I would also suggest improving the breakfast. While the quality was good, the selection for a continental breakfast was quite limited. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would happily return, especially for the beautiful location, the stunning beach, and the exceptional hospitality of the staff.

We stayed at Cinnamon Trinco Blu for five nights in a beachfront chalet and overall had a pleasant stay. The beachfront chalet was definitely worth it. Being able to step straight from our terrace onto the beach was wonderful, and the sea is calm, warm and ideal for swimming. The room was comfortable, although the bathroom was beginning to feel a little tired. The white and blue décor wasn't really to my taste, feeling a little clinical, and the light-coloured floors showed every bit of sand brought in from outside. We also had an invasion of kamikaze ants one evening because the bottom of the front door didn't seal properly. That said, the housekeeping team did an excellent job every day, leaving the room spotless. The bed was much firmer than we're used to, but after the first night we both adjusted and slept well. The pool is lovely, with towels provided. We thought the à la carte and poolside menu were overpriced compared with the excellent local restaurants nearby. We stayed on half board. The buffet was plentiful and the Sri Lankan curries were consistently good, but there wasn't much variety between evenings. We'd also read about themed buffet nights, such as seafood evenings, but these didn't happen during our stay. The hotel itself felt surprisingly quiet for the time of year. Activities were advertised, but nothing seemed to happen. There wasn't much atmosphere, and overall the hotel lacked a bit of personality. The staff however were great. A special thank you to Nadun, whose cheerful personality brightened every meal, Dilhara, who always greeted us warmly and somehow remembered both our room number and favourite table, and Jasantha, whose hoppers were the best we ate anywhere in Sri Lanka. Their friendliness made a real difference to our stay. Overall, we enjoyed our time here and the beach is undoubtedly the hotel's greatest asset. The staff work hard, the location is excellent, and the beachfront chalets are a lovely way to experience Trincomalee. However, the hotel itself felt a little underwhelming. With a little more variety in the dining, some updates to the bathrooms and a bit more atmosphere, it could be somewhere truly memorable. Overall rating: 3.5/5 stars.

We visited for the buffet dinner to celebrate my parents’ anniversary. Yeshani and Maheshi had thoughtfully arranged a beautiful cake for the occasion, which made the evening even more special. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive throughout. While the buffet offered a simple selection of dishes, everything was delicious and prepared to a high standard. The live music added a wonderful atmosphere to the evening, and the lovely view made the experience even more enjoyable. We had a memorable celebration and thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
