This is a nice property overall, but our experience didn’t reflect what we paid for. We booked the highest-priced room with a beach view, expecting a full resort-style experience. Instead, the unit felt much more like an Airbnb apartment located almost two blocks away from the main hotel and amenities. While we technically had access, the distance made it feel disconnected from the hotel itself. For the price we paid (comparable to a five-star hotel), the offerings were quite basic. Breakfast was not included, housekeeping was limited (every three days), and the pool next to our building was under construction, despite being told on the phone that the property was fully renovated. We also went to the front desk to ask about the room assignment and whether there was a price difference compared to rooms closer to the fully renovated main area. Unfortunately, the interaction was disappointing, as the staff member assisting us walked away mid-conversation. Additionally, during the night, a fire alarm in the unit began beeping and woke us up. We later realized it was due to the batteries, but it did not seem to have been checked prior to our arrival. This is not a bad place, and if you’re staying closer to the main amenities, the experience is likely better. However, what is offered does not accurately reflect the price being charged, especially for the premium rooms. With clearer communication, better quality control, and pricing that better matches the level of services and amenities, expectations would be much better aligned.

Avoid this resort. Management is arrogant and uppity. I arrived at the resort at 1:15 and they promised me the room would be ready at 2:15. They were going to call housekeeping. At 3:15 I returned in the room was still not ready. At 4:20 I was notified that my room would be ready. Even though the resort was half empty, I was assigned the room farthest away from the gulf. When I finally got to my room at 4:50 the room was a total mess. I called the office and told him I was not happy. I wanted a full refund and planed on finding new accommodations. They said the money would be refunded the next day. There was no offer for better accommodations or apologies. Three days later, I called and the money still wasn’t refunded and they told me they did not plan on refunding the money. Apparently, this is the resort policy, which was never communicated to me in any way. Hopefully the credit card company will refund me the $2000.00 This is supposedly a quality resort. Trust me. There are much better options available on Sanibel.

The location is fantastic. The entire area is very well-maintained and clean. The pool is heated, and the pool bar makes great cocktails. Unfortunately, the room smelled a bit musty, and we had to air it out frequently. These are apartments managed by the lobby, not a hotel! We always had to make a short trip to the reception desk. Communication via WhatsApp would simplify things for guests without a US phone number. We had to manage a lot by ourself. Captain's Catch, the lobby restaurant, wasn't very cozy. However, Shima's was amazing and a wonderful experience.

Had 3 rooms 2. 2 bedrooms and 1 3bedroom. We loved it. The place has been remodeled and looks great. Breakfast buffet is $30 a person didn't eat there we drove to lighthouse Cafe for breakfast and had dinner at nice Italian pizza place. Would go back.

Beautiful resort. Quiet & plenty of beach space. Some construction was going on in parts making areas unavailable, but overall it was a wonderful stay. Clean rooms, good communication, & beautiful views! The only thing that could be improved on it a light up keypad entry. It would make entering in the evening a little easier.
