We had a good stay overall. We would have stayed longer except for the quality of the food and the lack of an area to work outside of the room. The hotel is not really equipped with any co-working spaces and you have to pay a lot extra to access the club area which is a small open area with armchairs and tables. It is also not a co working space. Staff were really kind and helpful in as far as possible. Anas was particularly capable and helpful and security was brilliant. Thank you all. The housekeeping too was excellent.

Booked through AMEX Hotel Collection Status: None We had an okay stay at the Sofitel Abu Dhabi. The service was generally great. However, they rejected a package that we had sent to the hotel via FedEx after we emailed the hotel ahead of time. They did upgrade us to a “luxury king” room, which was nice. The hotel overall is nice, but it was apparent that they don’t really maintain the hotel well. The windows were extremely dirty, which made it difficult to enjoy the wonderful view. The shower had mold in the corner and the seal was partially broken/missing, which led to a puddle of water escaping the shower every time we used it. The welcome gift of small deserts were a nice touch and the hotel gym had a good assortment of equipment. Location seemed to be convenient enough for us as tourists, but it might be better suited for business travelers for the offices next door. Overall, it isn’t a bad place to stay, but for the price point, the hotel should be better about maintenance items.

A big thank you to Kargous for his amazing support! He really helped us so much and made sure everything was perfect. He didn’t miss a single detail and treated us with such kindness and professionalism. We truly appreciate him! / We had a very good overall experience and the service was excellent - truly appreciated. I just wanted to kindly mention a few maintenance issues: the bathroom door handles were loose and kept falling, the bedside lampshades were broken and not working, and the reading light next to the bed was also not functioning. I hope this feedback is helpful and can be looked into. Thank you for your great service

The hotel is conveniently located near the city centre and the Corniche promenade, and it’s also close to the Cultural District and Al Maryah Island. The building itself is a bit dated but still retains some charm. Breakfast was excellent, and we stayed over New Year’s Eve—the food on the night was very good. Administrative service could be improved. Responses to my emails with questions about the restaurant were very slow, and some messages went unanswered. I also requested an iron that never arrived in the room, so I had to follow up and complain. The same applied during the New Year’s Eve dinner: while I understand it’s an extremely busy time of year and the staff may have been tired after a long day, the service felt inattentive. The rooms are well sized, and the bathroom shower has excellent water pressure. We stayed in a twin room, but the beds were quite small (around 1 metre wide). For a hotel in this category, I would have expected larger beds, although I’m not sure what the standard is in Abu Dhabi. The rooms are also poorly insulated. We could hear street noise on multiple occasions, including on New Year’s Eve, when a nearby party played loud music until around 3am and everything was clearly audible from the room. I used the gym, which is very good and well equipped with all the machines needed for a proper workout. Overall, it’s a solid option.
