Great Staff & Breakfast, but Hotel Needs Urgent Upgrade to Justify 4-Stars We recently completed a stay at the Rembrandt Hotel and wanted to provide balanced feedback on our experience. While the staff and food were excellent, the room amenities and maintenance issues significantly detracted from the stay, leading us to believe the hotel currently functions as a decent 3-star property rather than a true 4-star one.The BEST of the Stay (4-5 Stars):Breakfast: Outstanding variety and quality. Truly a highlight of the hotel and easily 5-star standard. Service: The staff was exceptionally friendly, professional, and welcoming. Service quality is superb.Late Checkout: The complimentary 2pm late checkout was a much-appreciated gesture and highly convenient.Pool Area: The pool area itself is lovely, though we did note a distinct lack of seating/loungers, especially during peak times. Areas Requiring Urgent Improvement (2-3 Stars):Air Conditioning: The climate control in the room was impossible to manage. It was either too hot or too cold, and the unit itself was excessively loud, making it difficult to sleep comfortably. This feels like an old, noisy system in urgent need of replacement. In-Room Technology: Our room lacked a Smart TV. In today's travel environment, a functional Smart TV that allows streaming is considered mandatory for a 4-star rating. Location: While the hotel provides access to public transport, the overall location requires long commutes for guests planning to visit major tourist attractions. Verdict:The Rembrandt has all the necessary soft skills—fantastic service and superb food—but the hard assets of the building, specifically the A/C unit and room technology, are significantly dated. An immediate upgrade to these core facilities is necessary to compete in the 4-star segment. Until then, we recommend it as a decent choice if priced as a 3-star hotel.

Excellent place to stay at. Wonderful service and hospitality. The Rembrandt suite was spacious, clean, wonderful views. The complementary breakfast was outstanding. Breakfast staff was impressive. A great thank you to all staff specially a waitress named Ked at the breakfast red pepper restaurant she always had a smile on her face and remembered me every morning. Very hard working crew

We had an amazing long stay in Rembrandt. The suite was spacious well maintained and cleaned daily. We loved the breakfast and services offered. Special mention to the smiles and hospitality of Nam,Terd and keds at breakfast and Boe at the reception. Extremely helpful and courteous staff. We definitely recommend and will come back soon. Rest all were 11 on 10. Love you.

What truly stood out to me was the kitchen and the breakfast buffet — something I genuinely looked forward to every single morning. The hotel offers everything one could wish for: an excellent location, outstanding service, and an even better atmosphere. The Rembrandt has real charm and charisma. Everyone is incredibly kind and attentive, and precisely because not everything has been newly renovated, but many beautiful old details — like the breathtaking elevator — have been lovingly preserved, you feel like you’re part of Bangkok’s living history. It’s not a generic hotel like so many others. The rooms may not be ultra-modern, but there’s a touch of magic floating in the air. The restaurant tables are made of wood inlaid with tiles, the morning music is soft jazz with saxophone — the kind that melts your heart. I truly hope it stays this way when I come back. I can only speak in the highest terms about the Rembrandt: here, price, quality, and heritage come together perfectly. The staff, especially the lovely cleaning lady on the 5th floor, was so caring and attentive to little details — it elevated my stay on an emotional level. The gym is excellent, and the view is simply stunning. In my opinion, this is a place for true connoisseurs — people who appreciate genuine quality and find beauty in authentic, imperfect details. Not for those seeking glossy, soulless hotels. The Rembrandt Bangkok was exactly the right place for me.

Really enjoying my stay here and the staff has been amazing including my cleaner Kan who goes above and beyond to see if I need anything. She's a happy woman and great representation of the hotel. Also the breakfast buffet is definitely worth it and superior service. I like that the buffet is open until 10:30 so I can sleep in sometimes.
