One of the best hotels we have stayed at so far. Everything about Maradiva feels calm, private, and very well thought through. The villa was beautiful, recently renovated, very spacious, and spotless every day. Housekeeping did an amazing job. The private heated pool, outdoor shower, and all the small details like the pillow menu and personalized minibar really made a difference. The beach is wide, clean, and never crowded. Sunbeds are well spaced, and most of the time it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Food was excellent across all restaurants. We stayed 9 days on half board and tried everything, including the live cooking at Haiku, which was our favorite. The à la carte breakfast is also a big plus and not something you see often. What really stands out is the staff. Very friendly, attentive, and they quickly remember your preferences, which makes the whole experience feel personal. Check-in and checkout were smooth, concierge was very helpful, and we loved the dolphin trip booked through the hotel. Great water sports options as well.

Extremely disappointing experience. We had just arrived from the airport and, while waiting for our villa to be ready, we used the relaxation room at the reception to freshen up and change. We left our luggage there so the staff could transfer it to our villa once it was ready. When we returned, one of our luggage bags had been cracked. We reported the damage immediately, but the hotel kept delaying the investigation for days. We had to keep following up ourselves, and the day before check-out they claimed there was “no evidence” after reviewing the CCTV footage—even though the relaxation room where our luggage was stored doesn’t even have cameras. To make matters worse, when we asked for a proper solution or compensation, they offered us mocktails as “compensation.” Offering drinks instead of taking responsibility for damaged luggage is simply unacceptable. The management and reception staff showed no professionalism or accountability. After speaking to multiple staff members across different shifts, no one took responsibility and no real solution was ever provided. If this is how the resort treats guests when their property is damaged, we would never recommend staying here. Update: Your response contains several contradictions and does not address the key facts of what happened. First, it is not my responsibility that the relaxation room was not fully covered by CCTV. We were instructed to use that room while waiting for our villa to be ready, so we left our luggage there and went out. If the CCTV coverage was insufficient to determine what happened while our luggage remained there, that is a security issue on the resort’s side, not the guest’s. Second, we personally used our luggage in the relaxation room immediately after arriving to change our clothes, and it was not damaged at that time. When we returned later, before the luggage had even been transferred to our villa, we discovered the damage. Third, regarding the driver, he never informed us that he had noticed any damage or pointed it out to us. We only heard this claim later from the resort. Any conversation between the resort and the driver took place without us present, so we have no way of verifying what was actually said. Finally, your response states that the mocktails were merely a goodwill gesture. That is not what we were told. The manager explicitly presented them to us as compensation for the incident. Our review accurately reflects our experience. Our luggage was undamaged when we personally used it in the relaxation room, it was found damaged while it remained under the resort’s care, we spent several days repeatedly following up on the investigation ourselves, no conclusive evidence was ever provided, and no meaningful resolution was offered. We stand by our review.
