Excellent location for a relaxing getaway, spacious rooms, excellent pools, good food with generous portions especially the breakfast options. I loved having direct beach access to other dining and massage options for the family. We also booked some excellent day trip options from the tour desk which were wonderful experiences with flexibility on timeframes. Having shuttle buses available to take you into the main town was convenient or it was just a 15 minute cheap taxi ride. Best of all was the service. All staff were great but the Stand outs were Gokul in the Green and Grill restaurant who was exceptional and all the Porter/ buggy drivers.

If you choose this hotel for your kids, the waterslides and the spacious rooms - don’t. The slides are unkept, with the “pirate ship” having 10-20 exposed rusty nails well accessible to our 4-year old. The room was dirty for our entire stay. Our first night, we got an ant-infested room and requested a switch, which resulted in a new room with an ant-infested sofa bed where our daughter was expected to sleep. We brought it to the attention of the reception continously throughout the week, and they kept blaming us for ”keeping the lights on”, which was kind of funny seeing as we avoided the hotel during every waking hour. It then turned out to be an ants nest in the sofa itelf… even if it weren’t for that incident, the rooms were shabby to say the least, there was no hot water in the shower and the biggest food-related risk we took on this trip was the breakfast that was included in the stay. There are so many other great places to stay in Khao Lak for a similar price, do not let the TUI-brand lure you into a false sense of security. We switched rooms twice, which didn’t help, and checked out early.

Arran Aldhouse

We were a group of 10, so had 5 rooms, each came with dining vouchers, but they had to be used on each room when you ordered dinner and this caused. Alot of confusion with staff, also the Resort was under renovations and a few areas were shut. The staff were lovely and the location is amazing! The resort itself was beautiful, the food choices were great! The beach was literally walk out the premises and bam right there, with a host of other vendors on the beach! All served amazing food and the massages on the beach were amazing, the waves crashing amazing! Would visit again! The pool bar was great and that opened 2 days after we arrived as it was renovated. Amazing wildlife, Hermit crabs, Water monitors and the local cats, the Black small one was the friendliest and when saw you came meowing for attention! All in all great location and experience.

We stayed at this 5-star hotel expecting professional service — unfortunately, it was far from that. During sunset, the hotel staff removed all the seating right in the last 10 minutes of the sunset view. Instead of waiting a few more minutes or offering an alternative, they simply cleared the area. Very inconsiderate for guests who clearly came for the view. I also booked an additional night via Agoda and had to call reception three times to confirm. Everything seemed fine until suddenly my key card stopped working around noon — my wife and 10-year-old daughter stood outside the room, soaking wet, unable to enter. No one had informed us or apologized afterwards. Another disappointing moment: According to Agoda, my 10-year-old daughter was supposed to stay for free. About 30 minutes after check-in, the phone rang — reception asked me to come again to the front desk and pay 500 THB extra. The amount itself isn’t the problem, but the attitude and lack of professionalism are unacceptable. Overall, the hotel looks beautiful from the outside, but the service quality doesn’t match a true 5-star standard. Management clearly lacks attention to detail, communication, and basic hospitality sense. A 5-star property should offer more than a nice building — it should deliver service that respects guests’ time and expectations.

Excellent resort, Family Suite was perfect for family of 3, this could comfortably fit family of 4. Swimming pools are immaculate and the children pools have enough equipment to keep them happy for hours. One thing to note is check closing times as kids pools shut at 4pm. Likewise other pools closing at 6/8pm. All of this is detailed when you check in but a bit inconvenient if you are out for the day and come back later on. This may be due to low season and my only issue with this stay was that a vast majority of the facilities were closed. Walking from the room to reception/ onwards to the beach I found almost everything was closed, shops, cafe, food courts all taped off and empty. The same for construction work, from the main reception down to the beach, there were workmen everywhere and diversions throughout the resort, with none of this being mentioned before or even at check in I felt a little disappointed in what should have been a 10/10 resort. As I say this may be due to low season. Outwith the resort you would have to get a taxi / drive to most places due to the location. So having these amenities within the resort open would have been fantastic. The restaurants, bar and breakfast were all fantastic and very reasonably priced. That being said, the staff are always happy to help and there are porters driving around that are always smiling and helpful. Hoping to return again and hopefully the resort has a lot more to offer.
