10/10 experience. This is the best JW Marriott we have stayed in. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the manager, Vincent, who set us up with a lovely staff member who went over all the aspects of the resort, got us settled into lunch while our room was finished being prepared. Dinner: you will need to make dinner reservations every night, I suggest doing it early in the day. They have an office by the pool, or you can call. But they have lots of places to eat at, we tried every one, and went back to the Japanese restaurant twice. Very good! Pool Towels: Best pool towels at any resort I have ever been too! They were thick, and long enough, they ALWASY had more/ fresh as needed, and you didn’t have to give a room number. They didn’t ration the towels it was lovely. And they knew you were taking them out of the hotel on excursions because they have a towel return bin when you pull up to the hotel! Pools: there are so many different pool options! Great kids sections with a splash pad, water slide, and wave pool. So many lazy rivers taking you all over the entire resort. A HUGE quiet section with approx 24 chairs in groups of 2 with privacy greenery around each grouping, with your own entrance into the pool. And a great swim up bar/ lounging pool near the beach. I loved that you couldn’t reserve seats until 11, so no need to get up at 6 am to make sure you had a spot. People followed this rule until Sunday morning, and it was very frustrating to try and find seating at 10 when I was coming to hangout seeing all the towels on chairs, but eventually I found a spot. They need someone checking on this on days where they are so busy. Staff: everyone so was kind, helpful, and welcoming. Great attention to service at dinner, could be a little better at breakfast, but they are very busy. Outside of hotel: there is a Pharmacy and convenience store in a 5 min walk from the hotel Overall 5/5! I would highly recommend, totally worth it!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We absolutely loved our stay at the JW Marriott Khao Lak. The staff was outstanding from the moment we arrived…friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The resort is beautiful, and the lagoon pool winds its way throughout the property is incredibly unique. We stayed in a ground-floor room with direct access to the pool, and being able to step off our patio and jump right in was fantastic. Every restaurant on property is excellent. We were there for the International Geography Bee and the majority of the families present were Indian/Indian-American.I mention this because one pleasant surprise was the Indian food. They have Indian and East Asian options on the buffet at breakfast and lunch. It is excellent, and don’t take my word for it because all of the Indian people I talked to agreed. We were told the resort hosts many Indian weddings and has an Indian chef on staff, and it definitely shows. One thing we especially appreciated was how the resort embraces Thai culture. We were welcomed with traditional Thai refreshments at check-in, and throughout our stay there were musicians playing traditional Thai instruments—including the beautiful Thai harp—in the lobby. In the evenings, the Thai restaurant featured live traditional music and dance performances, which added a wonderful cultural touch without feeling overdone. It made the resort feel connected to Thailand rather than just being another luxury hotel that could be anywhere in the world. The beach is wide, peaceful, and beautiful, with plenty of space to relax. Like much of the world these days, there was some garbage that had washed ashore, which was unfortunate but certainly not unique to this resort. With that said it is obvious how much the hotel tries to keep the grounds clean. One of the things we really appreciated was the location. Just adjacent to the hotel on the beach is a taxi stand, several local restaurants, and multiple beach massage huts where you can get an excellent massage right on the beach for only 300–500 baht. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. It strikes the perfect balance between luxury and a relaxed atmosphere, and it made an ideal base for exploring Khao Sok National Park, Phang Nga Bay, and the surrounding area. We had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to stay here again. If we're fortunate enough to return to southern Thailand someday, the JW Marriott Khao Lak will be at the top of our list.

The best resort in the area! The hotel has the most beautiful and spacious private grounds, filled with tropical plants and local wildlife. Special attention should be given to the pools the entire resort area feels as if it is surrounded by water, and the pools are carefully maintained throughout the day. I stayed in a pool-access room, and I would definitely recommend it. It was absolutely a 10/10. I also really enjoyed the breakfast, with a good selection of hot dishes and fresh fruits. The service was very attentive, friendly, and professional. The hotel beach was always clean and had everything needed for a relaxing stay, including swimming, sunbathing, and surfing lessons. I highly recommend

The place itself is amazing. The environment surrounding the hotel is relaxing and beautiful. The pools were perfect and plentiful. The room we stayed in was amazing too. It had pool access and was very spacious inside. The furnishing was very Thai and made our stay very comfortable. We were also given a complimentary snacks and sparkling wine as a welcome gift. Perfect way to start our stay. The breakfast was plentiful and covered a variety of tastes - Asian, Western, Eastern etc. There were two places to eat but both had similar choices. Staff at both places were friendly and helpful. If there was any negative thing to say about the place was the weddings. There were two while we were there. And both took up a lot of the spaces in the hotel. The views and noise from the weddings kind of spoiled the relaxing ambience of the place. I thought it was inconvenient for the regular guests to endure the situation when they had paid quite a lot of money for the ambience of the place. So for me, it was a little disappointing. JW does have a ballroom so I didn’t understand why the wedding g couldn’t have been held there.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at the JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa was exactly what we needed. After a 24-hour journey from the UK, we had a small issue on arrival due to a breakdown in communication at our end. The way the management team handled it was exceptional—they couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome and comfortable. From arranging dinner on our first evening to organising a special beachside experience, they went above and beyond throughout. The staff are incredibly friendly, some of the warmest hospitality we’ve experienced anywhere in the world. The food was excellent, the grounds beautifully maintained, and the facilities truly first class. We left feeling completely relaxed and recharged. Highly recommended. Thank you so much everyone 🙏 epically to Mrs Low 🙏🫶🏼✨
