Delicious breakfast included! Loved the location! Nice clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff.

The location is blocks away from time square so you’ll get the atmosphere but not exactly in the heat of the action. It’s calmer than the sister hotel, Manhattan Times Square. It’s walking distance to a lot of restaurants since it’s on Restaurant Row. The complimentary breakfast buffet is adequate. I have no issues with that. My issue was that on four different times, multiple people unlocked the door and almost barged into the room. They were not housekeepers. These appeared to be employees just barging in. It’s weird and creepy considering these people don’t know what could be going on behind the door yet unlocking and walking in. They apologized and walked back out. This happened four times and after the second time in one day, we addressed it with the front guest and all they said was they’ll review the cameras. Just now, we were lounging in our room before checking out(which is two hours before checkout time) and someone was about to barge in. Again, this wasn’t housekeeping. In the middle of our trip, we were out all day and our door was left open when we came back that evening. It wasn’t very wide open but anyone could have lightly pushed it and it would open. Thankfully nobody got in and our things were not stolen. It was a cool stay but they should really look into random employees coming into guests room unannounced and seemingly for no reason.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our recent stay (June 2026). We booked a room on a higher floor (26) which gave great city views and cut down noise from the street. It's a brilliant location with lots of sights within walking distance and several subway stations close by. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the staff very efficient and friendly. Small but very well equiped gym

I recently stayed at the Riu Plaza in New York with my mum and sister. The hotel itself is lovely, modern, clean, and in a fantastic location, so I was really looking forward to our stay. Unfortunately, the customer service completely let it down. The majority of the staff, particularly the women working around the breakfast area, were incredibly rude, unwelcoming, and came across as arrogant. Rather than making guests feel welcome, they seemed more like security staff or military personnel, you would think of them as bouncers I’m actually shocked they didn’t ask for Id upon arrival at breakfast! constantly speaking into earpieces and directing people around without any warmth or friendliness. It made breakfast something I actually dreaded each morning. The front desk staff were also cold and unapproachable, which is disappointing when you’re paying a significant amount to stay at a hotel. The only members of staff who were genuinely friendly, welcoming, and helpful were the luggage/door staff, who were always polite and approachable. Having worked in hotels and customer service myself, I understand how important first impressions and guest interactions are. A smile and a friendly attitude cost nothing, yet they make all the difference. Sadly, that was completely missing here. It wasn’t just us either—it appeared that many other guests were treated in the same abrupt and impersonal manner. It’s such a shame because the hotel itself is beautiful, but the service simply didn’t match the standard of the property. Sadly, because of our experience with the staff, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again or recommend it to others.

Amazing location - literally just around the corner from times square! I had emailed before we arrived to request a room higher up and responses were prompt, friendly and accomadating! When we arrived, we were indeed given a room on level 20 with an amazing view of The Edge and a complimentary bottle of fizz to celebrate our wedding anniversary which was such a lovely gesture! Also, One of the bellboys was passing us as we got out of the taxi on arrival and offered to carry our things up the road and arranged for them to be taken to our room before we even checked in! Our room was great with a very comfy bed and perfect for our stay. Breakfast was great - very busy but a great choice and just enough for a quick breakfast to set you up for a long, busy day. From speaking to others, this us quite rare for a hotel to include a breakfast so a perfect find! Bar and cafe prices were very reasonable considering it was a hotel in times square. Staff were always professional and friendly especially the door staff. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel enough - we had a great time and would definitely stay here again. It wasnt the height of luxury - but we didnt need it to be, nor had we paid a luxury price so we were completely satisfied and felt very safe in a very busy city.
