We recently stayed at this all-inclusive hotel for a holiday, and unfortunately the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. While the location was nice and the hotel grounds were generally well maintained, several aspects of the stay were disappointing. The food was repetitive and often lukewarm, with limited variety across the restaurants. Despite being advertised as all-inclusive, many items and services came with extra charges, which felt misleading. Service was inconsistent throughout the stay. Some staff members were friendly and helpful, but others seemed uninterested. The rooms were adequate however you couldn't control the air conditioning and the pillows were not suitable for ongoing back/shoulder issues. When we went to reception to ask for a different pillow, we were advised they only had one type. The rooms didn't come with tea/coffee facilities which meant you had to wait until breakfast, lunch or dinner for a cuppa. The machines in the pool area were switched off outwith certain times. Although you.could.go to the bar however it would have been nice to bre able to help yourself. The fridge in the room wasn't cold, if anything it was warm and water wasn't cold. Although it was a double.room, it was 2 single beds put together but not held together so gap inbetween. For a hotel marketed as a relaxing, all-inclusive experience, it fell short in terms of value for money. Overall, this holiday was average at best. With some improvements in food quality, service, and transparency around what is truly included, the hotel could offer a much better experience. As it stands, I wouldn’t choose to return.

Loved our family holiday at Costa Calero. Our ground floor rooms were perfect for family of 4 ,2 Adults & 2 Teenagers and as we were close to the pool we spent time on the sunloungers at our room as well as by the pool. The Bathrooms were very nice and our shower was amazing, bedrooms were spacious and had plenty of wardrobe space and hangers and the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Food was very nice but we did break it up by eating out in the marina a couple of times. We didn't upgrade to premium AI as we felt the drinks available on the standard AI were good enough for us. Staff all work very hard and were very pleasant and we never had to queue for more than a couple of minutes for drinks

Recently went to this hotel with my friends for a new years holiday and upon arrival we were greeted by a very horrid smell and all the walls around were very under maintained with paint falling off them, green, etc. We went to check in at the reception and the black guy behind the counter was being very rude to us and over all had a very bad attitude towards us. Once we got to the rooms they weren’t that bad until we opens the bed sheets and found several hairs in the main and and it was very disgusting. The food was alright and the activities were good. But the worst part is, we paid to stay in this hotel and we go to the night entertainment and we are presented with a black man dressed as Aladdin listening to champions league music while making himself a drink on stage. Would not recommend. DO NOT BOOK!!

We have returned to this lovely hotel 7 years in a row now and have already booked again. The location near the harbour is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are lovely and very clean. The staff are wonderful and so friendly and welcoming. We love the Animation Team who keep activities going daily and bring fun and laughter to every visit. They are all very hard working and a real asset to the hotel.

A lovely location, marina just a short walk away! Courtesy bus to Puerto del Carmen. Rooms adequate and kept clean. Bar service ok, dearer drinks in piano bar than in the show bar! Reception staff somewhat abrupt and one time we waited whilst staff were on computer, which is fine, but just an acknowledgement to say be with you soon would have been appreciated! Some of the shows were pretty poor. Pianist was amazing in piano bar and the sax player and the other singer. Be lovely to have something on every night in the piano bar. We were on half board and was considering paying the supplement for full board. But glad we didn’t as went to the lunch time restaurant and asked what gluten feee options they had and was told they had none!! Surely there should be something for people with intolerances! Main restaurant, ok, food was generally lukewarm, people not using hand gel and putting tongs back down on top of food!! There was a dedicated section for gluten free for breakfast. Juices were really nice! Evening meal, you could order night before via reception for something gluten free. Did have a couple of pizzas, which were really nice! Told by reception staff that French fries were gf (something to do with a law out there) but had wheat sign on and asked one of the matri d’s and he said no due to xxross contamination!! Had a cheesecake one night pre ordered. However, very limited on what you can order. Desserts, only jelly and ice cream yet an abundance of desserts to choose from with wheat in!!! Tried to order something chocolatey but said probably not !!! Did leave in our room chocs and cava as my birthday which was a lovely gesture. Unfortunately , would not return due to the lack of gf options!
