Recently stayed at this hotel and I can not fault it at all, staff from all departments are very welcoming and friendly. Food is good have a range of different foods to cater for everybody except toddlers my 16 month old daughter lived off mash & gravy or scrambled eggs with beans as she struggles to chew the foods. Rooms are lovely and clean only experienced one cockroach which was our fault as we left milk out of the refrigerator and they love dairy we grabbed a paper cup and threw it outside and didn’t see one since it can’t be helped it’s like saying you don’t want spiders in your home you’re going to get them it’s easily dealt with. Ceasar the manager of the hotel is lovely if you have any issues he will resolve them very quickly to ensure you have a good holiday and he has amazing English better than mine lol. The only issue I had was that the pool had dyed clothes and swimwear a rusty colour so hopefully that gets resolved but overall it’s a great holiday and not a far walk from the beach & promenade!

TL:DR - This is NOT a water park and not a four star! Definitely not worth the money in peak time. The photos show several pools, fountains and slides but in reality these aren’t what they seem. There is a “water park” with some really cool slides but there is no pool at that end of the complex to swim and relax while the kids are on the slides. There is a children’s pool which is 500mm deep and just big enough for the number of really small kids to play in. There’s a flume / lazy river which isn’t deep enough to float down without needing a shove every 5ft. Overall the water park is more of a small slide park, I’ve been to hotels with this kind of slide who don’t claim to be a water park. The fountains you see in photos are by the reception and restaurant but they’re for show only. The pools are OK but there’s limited sunbeds and no restrictions on saving beds day to day so some towels just remained out all week. The food is actually quite good if you like a varied diet and can do other cuisines. This isn’t the typical place for chicken nuggets and chips for the kids though! Pizza is the staple safe choice and it’s actually excellent. Entertainment when it’s on is great but it’s very inconsistent. In the day it’s basically singing by the pool while you do some aqua exercises or a game of water polo. The evening kids disco is good and the staff are great with the kids but it’s inconsistent timings at best. When there is entertainment on after the disco it’s good and worth staying up late for. There is a football pitch and a go-kart track which looks well in need of an update but it’s functional. By the kids water park area there’s a series of small buildings and a play park which looks long beyond its life and should probably be condemned. Broken plastics with sharp edges and flooring sticking up to trip you over. Overall very very tatty and unsafe. We complained and the reception blamed the water park and the water park told us to report it to reception, but nobody seemed concerned that my kids could put their head through a broken window on a toy rocket in their play area if he wanted to. The rooms are spacious but dated, WiFi is bad and 5g was shocking, the bathrooms have a good pressure and a decent hot and cold shower but the heads of the showers in 3 rooms were all split and spewing water out from the surrounding instead of at the correct space. We complained but nothing was changed. Aircon in the rooms is cold but it’s only in the bedroom and not the living room space so it’s not possible to close doors of an evening without leaving somebody to cook slowly. The aircon in all 3 rooms leaked water through the stay on and off. The living room couch area is NOT a fold out bed and instead is suitable for 2 small adults or kids to lay down but on foam style couch bases. Cockroaches are a problem in the rooms and the cleaners seem well used to it. Although they give the rooms a quick turn while you’re here it’s only a very quick spruce. Although fresh bedding and towels daily is actually great, it’d be nice if they mopped up the crushed cockroach legs from behind the doors after 2-3 days!

We are very disappointed with this hotel. We have been to many places in Spain, and nowhere have we had such a bad experience as here. We chose the all-inclusive option, but only a few cocktails are included and they don’t taste good. If you want tasty ones, you have to pay extra. The ice cream is either not good or most of the time unavailable. If you want good ice cream, you have to pay extra too 😀 After 11 PM, everything has to be paid for. Coffee in the restaurant is only available in the morning — if you want coffee during lunch or dinner, then no chance 😀 We came for lunch with our almost 3-year-old child, and I tried to pour some juice, but the machine wasn’t working. I asked the staff why it wasn’t working, and he pointed at Coca-Cola, Sprite, and similar drinks saying those were working. I said, “Are you serious? My child doesn’t drink those.” He asked me, “Why?” 😀

Was concerned for our holiday after all of the negative reviews. We travelled as a family of 5- 2 adults and 3 kids. The hotel doesn’t deserve all the really bad reviews it gets. It’s mediocre but that’s what you get when you are paying half the price of other all inclusive resorts. We went in without high expectations and so we weren’t disappointed. A lot of the negative reviews also seem to be around the guests at the hotel which is not the hotel’s fault either! The pros - the pools and waterpark are great, we always managed to find sun beds without going out early to reserve them. The water was always clean. The food was good for the price, some of the food eg the salads and desserts were always the same but the mains were different most nights with different themes eg Spanish, Indian, bbq etc. Coffee from the machines was surprisingly good, and all the regular soft drinks are on tap. Snack bar always stocked with food and ice cream much to my kids delight. Can’t really comment on the alcohol as I don’t drink much. Had a couple cocktails, they were extremely sweet but fine. The entertainment team were limited in what they good do but were always trying their absolute best with every activity or show and always super friendly. The water polo was great fun. The reception and bar staff were always friendly and helpful and I felt for them- the way some of the guests treated them was very poor and they had to put up with a lot of abuse. The cons - the rooms are dated but sure you’re only sleeping in the room anyways! There was no hairdryer in our room and the main bedroom, the mattress stank of urine. We were onto reception and they changed the mattress for us straight away. In changing the mattress however they wrapped up my brand new pajamas with the linen although I kept enquiring without housekeeping, my pajamas were gone, never to be seen again 🙄 The water pressure from the shower was very low and all that the cleaning consisted of was making the beds and sweeping and washing the floors. No glasses/ cups were cleaned nor counters cleaned. Overall we had a great holiday. The hotel could improve in many areas but this would drive the price up. Bottom line, if you’re paying a great price don’t expect luxury. But expect a good break away with some fun and relaxation.

Lovely stay – would definitely return! Currently staying at Paradise Island and having a really nice experience. The hotel is lovely, the pools are always clean, and the rooms are kept very clean too. The staff are all friendly, helpful, and nothing ever seems too much trouble for them. The food has been good with plenty of choice. Overall, we’re really enjoying our stay and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!
