The hotel and the majority of the staff were amazing. Rooms and hotel lobby were spotless. The floors between rooms in the suite side of the hotel could do with having more attention with dust/hair collecting on the stairs. The pool also had debris in the bottom of it most days along with a large number of broken tiles around the outside. However the daytime snack bars were fantastic the food offered was very good along with the soft and hard drinks available. The buffet at meal times was better on the hotel side than the suite side in our opinion but the variety was huge and there was always food for everyone. Amenities were great probably the best hotel gym ive had access to but the equipment could do with being cleaned at some point. Night time entertainment was good and varied however the inside location is poor due to the pillars and no AC so it was always too hot. This was much improved when they started using the outdoor stage towards the end of the holiday. Location was good i only gave it 4 stars due to being missold the idea of there being a "beach" by their pictures and it was a rock pool. Ignoring that we rented a car and were very pleased to see that literally everywhere on the island was within 1hr of our hotel. Only other downside i can mention is there is no pharmacy on the site and its either a 40min walk or 5 min taxi to the nearest they did have 1 but demolished it for a royal level part of the hotel. I would recommend and/or visit again

Barcelo Active has done it again. My family holiday has been the best. Food was great always something so put a good plate of food together . Breakfast was good. Frest pastries every morning as well. Smoothies were lush. I stayed in a family suite this time. It was great, cleaned everyday. The plaza entertainment was good. Loved all 10 days. There's a bus stop outside €4.20 for 5 people to go puablo marina(the square). Carmen on reception was great once again and Sebastian the waiter is a good lad. Big shout to the cleaning maides they keep the hotel very clean. So Gracias Barcelo see you all soon. Xx

We recently stayed at Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort and overall had a really good holiday. Positives: - The location of the resort is brilliant — great access to everything and a lovely setting. - The food was great with plenty of choice. - The staff were very attentive and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. - The gym was very good. Areas for improvement: - Our room needed some upkeep to match the high standard of the rest of the resort. The resort felt really good but then the room itself didn't match. Dirty, lots of stains, sockets hanging off the wall and missing lightbulbs. - The WiFi didn’t work well in the bar or pool areas, which made it difficult to stay connected. - The rooms could be cleaner at times and felt a bit basic compared to the rest of the site. - We had no air‑con for the first week due to a fault. The team did send a temporary unit, which we appreciated, but being on the ground floor meant we would have had to leave the balcony door open for the vent. With three young children, that didn’t feel secure, so we chose not to use it. We understand this was out of their control, but it did affect our experience. Overall, the resort itself is good and the staff work really hard. With a bit more attention to the rooms and facilities, it would easily be a five‑star stay.

Overall, a great experience. The hotel is about 3 kilometers south of the town and there's a lovely coastal path to walk or jogg along. It's a great location with seaviews and the ambience is relaxed and calming. The rooms, gym, dining room and food met our expectations. I've no hesitation in recommending this hotel. We needed some help during our stay and it's best to speak directly with the guest experience team. They were superb. The only reason this is a 4-star review is because the toilet facilities adjacent to the restaurant, specifically para los hombres, need to be renovated.

The best kids’ entertainment we could have hoped for! Our two little girls have had wonderful mornings thanks to two of the nicest, kindest and most enthusiastic staff members, Sara and Cristina. Every morning after breakfast, they couldn’t wait to head to the kids’ club, where they happily stayed until lunchtime (1:15 pm), enjoying a wide variety of fun activities. They loved it so much that they now both want to grow up and work there, just like Sara and Cristina! Thank you both for all your hard work, energy and genuine care. You made our daughters feel incredibly special and gave them memories they’ll never forget. We will definitely be back!
