We stayed at the Cleopatra for 5 nights recently after having moved to the hotel from a noisy air BnB. Upon booking and check in we had expressed a desire to have a quiet room. We were even sold an upgrade to make sure we got a quiet area. Unfortunately these requests were ignored as well as the upgrade fee making no difference as we were put in a room overlooking the Hard Rock which was playing very loud live music until midnight. Upon returning to our room after dinner we immediately realised it would be impossible to sleep while the music was going on. We went to reception to ask about changing rooms only to be met with a response of “you’ve booked a hotel in the party area so what do you expect”. Whilst I understand the sentiment and the lady did proceed to try and help this felt like a very rude comment to make considering we had done all we could to get a quiet room and there was no warning on their website to say noise would be an issue late into the night. The lady on reception showed us another room which was a downgrade but no mention of a refund for the fee I had already paid earlier in the day. Once challenged she went back in her previous comment about not having any quiet rooms and said we could move but it would have to be at 3pm the next day. Once the music stopped at midnight that was just start as then you had loud drunk people, staff smashing bottles and deliveries throughout the night. Once we did move it was a lot better but still issues with various noise throughout our stay. The hotel itself is a little strange as common areas are well maintained but the rooms are dated and need a bit of a refresh. The breakfast was ok. Nothing special and we were a little put off by the presence of cockroaches climbing near the fountain and several dead ones floating in the water. Overall this isn’t somewhere I’d stay again as in general I don’t see why you’d spend a decent amount of money on a hotel that is so noisy.

This was the third time we stayed at this hotel. The last time was three years ago, and back then we were quite satisfied. Unfortunately, almost everything has changed for the worse. We definitely won't be coming back, and the only real reason to choose this hotel now is its excellent location. The first thing we noticed was the extremely unpleasant smell in the room. It smelled like old, damp, deteriorated wood, and the odor was very strong. The shower had several problems. The water pressure was very low, and the water temperature kept suddenly changing from hot to cold. There were also many broken or damaged items in the room. The shower by the spa pool was out of order, the spa clock wasn't working, and the steam sauna was also broken. The spa itself felt abandoned and was nothing like it was three years ago. Overall, we're very disappointed. Despite the wonderful memories we had from our previous stays, we will never stay at this hotel again.

We stayed in early July. Wonderful hotel and staff. Everyone so friendly and amenable. Had to move rooms on night 2 due to a leak in the shower but staff upgraded us within the hour. Hotel close to all u need just mind the rocks in the sea (they hurt). We will definitely be back some time in the future. One minor, the hotel needs more day time activities or music around the pool

The hotel is really really great, altough the rooms are outdated. For the breakfast they have a lot of choices, natural juices, coffee, fruits, etc. Gabriela is a really great maid, she took care of our room for our entire stay. The staff is really friendly and they will help you in any situation. You have a place where can you buy tickets for excursions and for Siam and Loro Parque. The location of the hotel is really good, you have the beach right in front of the hotel. They have parking spots, but not so many. Also, the pool is big and they have a lot of sunbeds!

Staff are very friendly and pleasant however the hotel has massively gone down hill since last time i visited back in 2019. I knew coming to this hotel that it needed refurbishment but i was unaware of how much the hotel has been neglected. The first day on arrival we were greeted with a leaking air conditioning unit which was fixed with placing towels on the floor, luckily we didnt need to use the air conditioning. Plumbing issues were also apparent where the toilet had to be flushed multiple times as 5 mins later after going to the toilet residue would come back up again. When showering the bath tub would also get blocked. We also spotted on our last night mold on the ceiling which is not ideal for the amount of money you pay to come here. The other thing we noticed was the openness of people taking drugs in the hotel. Strong smell of weed throughout the hotel grounds and especially at night with people smoking it on their balconies. As well as people taking cocaine in the reception area which makes it feel unsafe for families. If you are a family I would not recommend to come to this hotel.
