This hotel has become my go-to spot in Bangkok! I’ve stayed here twice in the last 12 months and plan to return soon. Here are the reasons why I rate it so highly (there are a few downsides that I’ll cover too): Location I love that this is on a side street. So many hotels are on the main Sukhumvit Road, which is busy and noisy. This one is just a few minutes’ walk from the Phrom Phong BTS station on that road, but it’s far enough to dial down the disturbance. Size Some hotels can be sprawling and busy. This one is the perfect size. You never wait too long for an elevator, a table, or the front desk. Benefits Recognition I hold Diamond status with Hilton. This hotel goes above and beyond to recognize it. They’ve always upgraded my room and given me a late checkout. This is much appreciated. Accommodations / Sleep Quality No complaints from this picky customer. Housekeeping services are perfect. The rooms are not the newest in town, but they are holding up very nicely. Everything works, and the décor remains fresh. I slept about as well as I could in a hotel. Housekeeping deserves praise—they do a really, really good job. The service hotline is also impressive; they pick up immediately. The Team The people at this hotel are just dynamite. This includes the General Manager, Rachael. She is very visible (I met and spoke with her during both of my stays). She runs two hotels (the DoubleTree at the back is managed by the same organization) and is clearly setting the right tone throughout her team. There are so many people to mention who helped make my visits feel like I was staying with family. Look out for them should you stay here: Club Lounge: Jay is just the best. He clearly cares deeply about his job and his guests. His friendly demeanor is very calming. Se-ow, Ice, and Oh are other club lounge superstars. Front Desk: Kitty is outstanding—can’t say enough good things about her friendly, warm personality. Breakfast: Linda, Perth, Toy, Oh, and Ake…all amazing! Other: Mr. Pu is terrific. Paing is super friendly and engaging. I missed seeing them during their days off. Disappointments / Improvements The hotel pumps a chemical smell everywhere you go. I know this is a trend in hotels right now, but it’s just more harmful pollution that we have to endure—and it’s totally avoidable. The lobby is bland and uninviting: bright lights, poor seating, etc. The pools and gyms are small, so it’s hard to get a good workout. (I use plurals because you can also use the DoubleTree facilities if you want.) No sauna. I get why there’s no spa—it’s hard to compete with the massage places and nail bars just outside their doors. A sauna would be nice though; they have space to add one in the DoubleTree locker rooms. It doesn’t have to be big. All in all, this place rocks. Maybe not the place to stay if you like everything modern and minimalist or favor chilling by the pool. Very reliable, solid, dependable property, though, with staff that really bring a happy-family feel.

I am so impressed with this hotel. The service, rooms, location and staff. Impeccable! It was my husbands birthday and we didn’t say anything about it to the staff but they must have taken note from his passport. We came back to the room to a note on the bed and a towel birthday cake and then later that evening a birthday cake and a card. So impressed. I’m a travel agent and I will definitely recommend this hotel to my clients.

Great hotel, the hotel is very well kept and updated. Pool and gym area are very nice on 24th floor looking out with a great view. I had a great steak, mashed potatoes and pasta the restaurant. Hotel is accross the street from the Emporium mall which is amazing. 5 floors of every store you can think of with an amazing food court and full grocery store. I highly recommend this hotel. Would love to stay again.

I had a wonderful stay at Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok. The hotel combines modern comfort with warm hospitality — the staff were always attentive and welcoming. My room was elegant, well-equipped, and offered a lovely city view. The breakfast buffet was one of the best, with plenty of delicious choices. The location is perfect, close to shopping malls and great restaurants. Overall, a fantastic experience — I’d definitely stay here again!

I booked an Executive Suite. There was a sitting room and a separate bedroom and a small vestibule. The decor was okay, very clinical and no soft touch. Not even a plant or a small fruit basket given that it’s a suite. The minibar wasn’t complementary unlike other hotels that I have stayed at where the minibar is free if you stay in the suite. The suite was clean and was turned down every evening. Tv channels were standard and there was no complimentary newspaper. The biggest letdown is the executive floor on level 4. Dark and dated with very poor food offerings. Breakfast is very limited and you’re better off eating on the 2nd floor restaurant. Afternoon tea is disappointing, stale pastries and biscuits. The cocktails between 5-7pm were okay, not a big selection and there was a small food offerings, which basically looked like leftovers from lunch. Sadly very little Thai food on offer. The hotel is small and doesn’t have many facilities. The pool is tiny but clean and the gym is very basic. The staff are pleasant and helpful. As for the location, it is a 5 minute walk to the train station (Phom Phrong) and near Emporium mall which is just another standard boring high end mall. I ordered room service twice and the food was average and the portion size was small for what you pay. My verdict? Very average hotel and don’t bother with the executive package it is just a disappointment. If you want a suite type accomodation, book a service apartment as it is much better value than Hilton's suite. Oh, musn't forget to say that the bathrooms were nice!
