Thirty minutes into my stay at Grand Hyatt Goa, and unfortunately the experience has already started on a disappointing note. A week before arrival, I specifically booked and paid for a Twin Bed Room with a Pool View. The reservation was made well in advance, so there should have been absolutely no ambiguity about my requirements. A couple of days before check-in, the hotel called to remind me that the official check-in time was 3:00 PM. Fair enough. I respected that and arrived at exactly 3:00 PM. What I did not expect was to wait another 25 minutes for my room to be allocated. Even more surprising was being told that I had booked a King Bed Room, which is simply incorrect. The room type was one of the key reasons for making the reservation in advance. As a guest, it is frustrating to have to explain and defend your own booking details during check-in. The overall process felt disorganized and lacking attention to detail. There was no sense of ownership of the issue and no confidence that the reservation preferences which had been booked and paid for were actually understood. This visit is particularly important because I am here with my son to celebrate his birthday. I was not expecting upgrades, complimentary benefits, or special treatment. I simply expected the hotel to honour the reservation that was made and provide a smooth arrival experience. For a property positioned as one of Goa’s leading luxury hotels, having the correct room ready at the published check-in time should be the minimum standard, not an achievement. Hopefully the remainder of the stay improves, but based purely on the arrival and check-in experience, the first impression has been far from what one would expect from the Hyatt brand.

Its a good property, nicely maintained. The rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean. The view from our rooms was not that good even though it has a balcony. Its a big property with rooms clustered in guesthouses. We were in guesthouse 6 which is walking distance few steps away from hotel casino. While there are carts available to move around the property, they didnt ply regularly and you had to call them if you needed to go within the property. There is no direct beach access from the property but there is a sea sailing point which has slant into the ocean for sail boats to be pushed into water, thats where you can go to see the sea or dip feet in water but no beach or sand. There is a beach next to the hotel which is walking distance but not from within the hotel. The casino is small but good. We went in the afternoon when we had casino to all ourselves, and enjoyed. The tea/coffee is complimentary if you are playing. The location is somewhat away from most good places. Though panjim is closest - about 15-20 mins away by car. There is a taxi stand right outside but the prices are high and fixed, no point negotiating. Difficult to find a goa miles taxi here during the day if not pre booked. The property overall is green, pool is good. The food and buffet breakfast was also good. They didnt provide bathrobes in the rooms. Overall we had a good experience.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Grand Hyatt Goa from 17th April to 23rd April. The hospitality and service throughout our stay were truly exceptional and made our holiday incredibly special. A huge thank you to all the Club staff for their outstanding service, especially Rishi, who went above and beyond to look after us. His warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine care made our stay feel very personal and memorable. We would also like to specially mention the Pool Bar staff — Raj and Deep — for their tremendous service and for always making sure we were well looked after with a smile. Ryan and Simran were also superb throughout our stay and provided exceptional hospitality at all times. The breakfast experience every morning was fantastic, and all the breakfast staff were wonderful. A special thank you to the fresh juice staff who prepared my special juice every morning without fail — such thoughtful and attentive service really stood out. We also had an incredible dining experience at the Indian restaurant Chulha. The food was absolutely amazing — full of flavour, beautifully prepared, and one of the highlights of our stay. Overall, this was one of the best hotel experiences we have had. Thank you to the entire team at Grand Hyatt Goa for making our stay unforgettable. We cannot wait to return!

Kunj

Visited during the monsoon and honestly the resort looked absolutely stunning — lush, green, and full of life. The swimming pools are exceptional, and the indoor pool is a real highlight, especially when it's raining outside. A special mention to Bineeta at the front desk — she was brilliant, handled everything smoothly and made the check-in process seamless. Chef Ranjan, who has recently taken charge, deserves a shoutout too. He was incredibly understanding of our needs around baby food and went out of his way to ensure everything was sorted. The overall team at Grand Hyatt Goa is warm and hardworking — you can feel the effort they put in. Only note: the kids' play zone feels a little dated compared to the rest of the property, which is otherwise very well-maintained. Would be great to see that refreshed. Overall a wonderful monsoon getaway. Would definitely return.

What a splendid stay! What hospitality! I have stayed in most of the resorts in Goa and I really feel everyone has to learn from Hyatt hospitality. Absolutely top notch. Large property, beautiful rooms and so many options for everyone, young and old. Me, my wife and my daughter had a great time. Steffi, the charming boss at the helm made sure everything went smooth and every experience had an ‘hyatt extra’. Arlene- the manager at breakfast- very kind and super efficient. Need to learn to speak and manage like her! Biswajeet, manager at the bar area, super friendly and efficient. Always engages and helps and well supported by a super crew of suman, Abhay, Raj, Ravi.. lovely team. The club is lovely and accommodating, Gagandeep and crew make you feel welcome. Book a bay view room, block 7 is the best as it is closer to the club, bar and bay.
